On July 29th, charismatic German heavy metal punk rock ‘n’ rollers DELTA BATS are going to debut their first full-length studio album, entitled Here Come The Bats, with Drakkar Entertainment.
The duo unmistakably pays homage to their gods – Motörhead, ZZ Top, Ramones, Judas Priest – but without losing sight of the danceability of a Samantha Fox. Wherever the Bats appear, it’s a party. People sweat and drink Coors light from cans. Shells fall from bodies that would have been better left covered. This summer, you’re invited to join their party, as Here Come The Bats!
Following the previously released, first track “Delta Bat”, today the band has shared a lyric video for their new; stoner-esque single “Hollow”! Drummer Toby Fuhrmann reveals: “Sometimes you accidentally write a stoner rock song, even though you’re not a stoner rock band. That’s what happened at the Delta Bats camp right now. And it’s actually 7 minutes long. The lyrics run deep and we’re not apologizing. Expect the unexpected! Here come the Bats!”
Band members, Toby and Don Canone, have been in this business long enough to know that they will not reinvent rock’n’roll. They were born too late for that. But at least they were born in time to save it. After years as a well-oiled rhythm section in various bands, the two brothers in spirit have made their debut as a duo, the DELTA BATS, and have reduced themselves to what they do best: No-holds-barred low blows of drum and bass, mangy vocals and raw riffs that don’t even try to sound virtuosic. DELTA BATS are having fun, but are bitterly serious. While Don has drifted straight from an East German contrabass forge into metal, Toby has beaten his way up from a boys’ choir via American marching bands to a drummer whose punch would make a Texan blacksmith pale in comparison.
Here Come The Bats was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jan Oberg (Earth Ship, Grin) at the Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin, Germany. Slated for a release on July 29, 2022 through Drakkar Entertainment, the album pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!
Australian death metal trio WEREWOLVES have today shared the second single from their forthcoming third album, From the Cave to the Grave, titled Crushing Heaven’s Mandate. Alongside the group’s latest cut of incandescent extremity, WEREWOLVES have also shared an accompanying visualizer for the track.
Bassist/vocalist Sam Bean comments: “”2022 seems to be the age of authoritarian regimes, and when it comes to tyrants we prefer one and one only: ourselves. Fuck everyone else. This superb, delicate, and delightful song rejoices in the downfall of every sour-face shit-cunt who has spent their last few years waging economic wars, propaganda campaigns, and invasions. Anyone striking a pose by sniffing their throne can suck our ass. Bow down.”
WEREWOLVES’ debut The Dead Are Screaming was recorded in 2019 and followed by Australia going from medium to well-done in apocalyptic bushfires. The second release What A Time to Be Alive was recorded in 2020 and closely preceded a global pandemic then mass hysteria. WEREWOLVES attempted some caution and tact by only releasing a limited vinyl EP, DeathMetal, in February 2022 and happened to put it out for sale the same day war came to Europe.
From The Cave to The Grave keeps up the searing pace of the first two WEREWOLVES albums, with a mix of black and death metal and unprecedented aggression that is coalescing into a style of its own. Opener Self-Help Book Burning kicks the door in Hate Eternal-style before deforming into a blackened ending. It’s followed by stadium crowd-pleaser We Are Better Than You, blaster All the Better to Eat You With, and social credit score-destroyer Crushing Heaven’s Mandate. Harvest of the Skulls is an ode to the horror of genocide and the rest of the album blasts through to closing threat Watch Your Mouth, leaving you to enjoy your ringing ears and mild trauma.
The mixing is by Joe Haley (Psycroptic) and the artwork is by Mitchell Nolte. Slayer never changed their shit up, neither will WEREWOLVES. “Change” can be mistaken for “progression”, which WEREWOLVES shrinks in horror from.
From the Cave to the Grave tracklist: 1. Self-Help Book-Burning 2. We Are Better Than You 3. All the Better To Eat You With 4. Crushing Heaven’s Mandate 5. Harvest of the Skulls 6. Oedipus Tyrannus 7. Nuclear Family Holocaust 8. Pride and Extreme Prejudice 9. Watch Your Mouth
Austrian rock and metal empire Napalm Records is thrilled to announce their exciting new partnership with English extreme metal titans CRADLE OF FILTH, who have just signed a worldwide contract with the label!
Positioned firmly at the top of the extreme black metal genre, CRADLE OF FILTH – led and revolutionized by iconic frontman Dani Filth – reign supreme as one of the most revered, formative and notorious names in the scene, and are undeniably responsible for breaking ground for many of today’s top metal artists with their trademark mixture of grim blackened heaviness, macabre theatricality and scintillating gothic style. The rule of Filth began in 1991, followed by the unleashing of 1994’s The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh – humble beginnings that expanded into cinematic classics like Cruelty And The Beast and Midian.
The band’s unyielding international touring schedule has garnered them a massive following both in the cult underground and at the top of the mainstream, defying trends while staying true to their roots. More recent offerings such as 2015’s Hammer Of The Witches and 2017’s Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay continued to bolster the unremitting legacy of Filth, until the band, along with the rest of the universe, was abruptly halted by the global pandemic in 2020.
But, as is evident by the staggering response from their devoted legion of followers, that time was put to good use, spurring the emergence of the band’s latest, breathtakingly heavy offering, 2021’s Existence Is Futile. The album debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200 with Hard Rock Genre, on the Hard Music Albums charts at #4 in the US and #5 in Canada, #9 on the German Album charts, #3 and #5 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and UK Independent Albums chart respectively, #4 on the Finnish Albums chart and many more, proving that CRADLE OF FILTH continue to own the dark.
Now, Napalm Records is honored to deliver the band’s haunting hallmark to the masses as their musical panorama reaches into the future.
CRADLE OF FILTH mastermind Dani Filth says: “It is with great expectation and excitement that we announce our move to Napalm Records, having seen and heard a great deal of complimentary things about the label, which in turn leads us to believe that this will be the perfect nesting ground for Cradle Of Filth in 2022 and beyond. We’d like to thank all our fans for their continued support and trust in us doing the right thing for the band and its music. All hail the eternal ‘Filth!”
Thomas Caser, CEO, Napalm Records adds: “We are thrilled to welcome the most influential and iconic extreme metal band to our ever-growing Napalm Records family. Being a fan of the band since their very first album, it is with great honor and excitement that we’re able to work with them from now on! We are ready to conquer the metal world with Cradle Of Filth!”

KURT DEIMER is proud to announce the release of his new single and video, the hard-hitting anthem “Hero,” which he is performing live on the road in direct support of guitar icon Yngwie Malmsteen. The single was released on May 6th on all digital platforms, and the video also premiered same day on Brave Words. The follow-up to his ‘Work Hard, Rock Hard’ debut EP, “Hero” also features Deimer’s musical collaborator Phil X (Bon Jovi) on guitar, and production by Grammy Award-winning studio wizard Chris Lord-Alge.
Listen to “Hero”: https://ffm.to/kurtdeimerhero
“I wrote ‘Hero’ to honor and thank all of the men and women who are frontline workers, who are first responders, who are in our military and our veterans,” explains Deimer. “Without them we could not live free, live safe, or be able to live peacefully in this world. I also wrote ‘Hero’ to point out that anyone can be a hero – your neighbor, the kids playing at the park, a co-worker. Everyday people. Someone gets hurt in a car crash, or is drowning, or needs help crossing the street… No matter where we are, the situation may arise for you to step up and be a hero. That is the essence of this song. Look deep inside, help others whenever you can, and you toocan be a hero. Don’t be selfish. Be kind. Be a hero.”
The song’s video adds a strong and inspirational visual element to the lyrical message. “My creative film partner and director Paul Boyd came to hang at my Cincinnati studio compound, and while he was there I said, ‘We have to shoot a video for our new single ‘Hero’, and we don’t have much time.’ Just like real life heroes don’t have much time to react when they help others, we reacted quickly and shot my footage in front of my green screen. I told Paul that I wanted the video to focus on real life heroes, which you see throughout the video, some current and some mixed from history. We shot Phil X with me in L.A. a week later before he left for the Bon Jovi tour, and our producer Chris Lord-Alge even showed up for a cameo! Heroes are on call 24/7, and we wanted our video to have that same vibe. We show the heroes in color and the performance video of me, Phil X and Chris Lord-Alge in black and white – we’re the same color as newspaper print, and we are telling the story…the story of heroes.”
Deimer, who made his live debut on the road with Geoff Tate in fall 2021, is currently supporting “Hero” and hisdebut ‘Work Hard, Rock Hard’ EP on the road in the U.S. as direct support for guitar icon Yngwie Malmsteen. “What an honor,” says the frontman. “He’s a master on the guitar, and we are bringing the rock and roll full force with style and flare, passion and expression. There’s no time to sit still.”
