BLACKMENT was founded 2014 in Hyvinkää and they are ready to release their debut album Plains of Oblivion on September 9th this year. As a sample from their upcoming album, they now present their strong new single, Maw of the Dread. Previously the band has released couple of small releases that gave a glimpse of the band’s sound that combines catchy melodies, striking riffs and a tight rhythm base, atmospheric synths, and a distinctive versatile vocal approach. The same elements are also present in the new single.

”Maw of the Dread is an energetic and heavy song that starts like a thunder” guitarist Allan Välimaa explains.”We’ve played this track on our rehearsal room since summer 2016 so this is one of our oldest tracks on the album. The structure of the song is still pretty much the same as back then, except for a couple of changes along the way.”

The vocals lead the listener through a heavy, somber, emotional, and melodic atmosphere. Lyrical theme has a twist of horror that deals with the subject of taking the easy way, in some sense with a hint of satire.

”It’s about people trying to manage things taking the easy way, usually with someone else’s expense. Writing lyrics is kind of a way to cheer myself up and most of the subjects has been created by my own challenges and mistakes in life. So basically, it’s also me looking myself in the mirror, even to this day” Allan Välimaa tells.

German heavy power metal act IRON SAVIOR has released another jewel and a blast of the past, a re-recorded version of “The Battle”! The song was originally issued on the band’s second, 1999- studio album Unification.

The Hamburg-based metal veterans seem to be gearing up for a new album, entitled “Reforged II – Ironbound”, which will be coming out during 2022 with AFM Records. Earlier in March, they have already shared a new lyric video for their classic “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. To shorten your wait for IRON SAVIOR‘s upcoming album, you can now enjoy some real pearls of the band’s impressive history in a brand new shape! Says frontman Piet Sielck: “Hey Folks! For our second single we have selected another track, this time from the UNIFICATION album. Follow us into “The Battle” with it’s mighty riffs, epic melodies massive choruses and yet another Kai/Piet solo duel . If you think Reforged Vol 1 – RIDING ON FIRE was good we can promise that Vol 2 – IRONBOUND is even better! Heavy Metal Never Dies!”

Listen to “The Battle” HERE!

2021 seen IRON SAVIOR celebrate the 10th anniversary of one of their most successful records to date, The Landing. The special anniversary edition is now also available on Vinyl at THIS LOCATION!

It contains several classic tracks such as “Starlight”, “Hall Of The Heroes” and – of course – the metal hymn par excellence, “Heavy Metal Never Dies” – a song which was streamed way more than 10.000.000 times until this day.

The anniversary album not only includes 3 bonus tracks, but was also remixed and remastered by Piet himself and comes with a revised artwork by Felipe Machado Franco.

MICHAEL MONROE Release New Single ‘Can’t Stop Falling Apart’

MICHAEL MONROE’s latest single/video ‘Can’t Stop Falling Apart’ is OUT NOW! The track is taken from the upcoming album I Live Too Fast To Die Young, set for release by Silver Lining Music on June 10th, 2022.

“It’s an ode to our wives and loved ones who have stuck by our sides through years of playing music and touring the world,” offers Monroe on the new single. “But this can also apply to any person working hard, away from home a lot of the time, who is lucky enough to have a loved one sticking by their side through thick and thin. So, it’s a celebratory song to our nearest and dearest who are always there for us.”

“It’s a big, 1970’s Slade-inspired glam stomper,” adds Rich Jones, “It celebrates our loved ones who support us through the ups and downs of being a touring musician”.

“Try to focus on the positive,” furthers Monroe “Because what you focus on usually tends to multiply…”

Michael Monroe, the gargantuan, gregarious, glamorous rock ‘n’ roll God who struts and fronts it with the same power and panache he first thrust our way leading Hanoi Rocks all those years ago, does not try to be a philosopher, but goddamn, he projects like one.

Throughout his latest (and greatest) venture I Live Too Fast To Die Young, Monroe tells tales of glory and observed stories, some pretty, some shitty, but all through a lens of eventual optimism, hope and a sense of dirty, cheeky late-night fun. Monroe’s lens has always been directed towards the upside, even after the greatest downs a man can suffer, and the sheer power of his positive energy infuses everything he comes into contact with.

The eleven lean, mean, raw power rock ‘n’ roll songs which make up I Live Too Fast To Die Young see Monroe swagger the streets like a rock-punk poet, a storyteller who’s seen it all from the hellholes of Helsinki to the late-nights in London’s St. Moritz with some trashy times in Tokyo to boot. Warm, funny, occasionally sad but ultimately upbeat, I Live Too Fast To Die Young brings the listener into the heart and soul of its creator.

The title track, ‘I Live Too Fast To Die Young’, is quintessential Monroe, playing with words and concepts in a playfully irreverent way and wrapping it all up in some proper ‘fuck you’ rock ‘n’ roll. A close friend of Monroe’s, Slash from Guns N’ Roses, throws down some lead guitar on the track.

Recorded at Inkfish Studios in Helsinki, Finland between November and December 2021 and produced by the band with engineer Erno Laitinen, the album features Monroe on lead vocals and harmonica, Steve Conte (guitars and vocals), Rich Jones (guitar, vocals), Karl Rockfist (drums) and Sami Yaffa (bass/vocals/guitar).

With I Live Too Fast To Die Young, it is clear Michael Monroe is striding into the summer with a triumphant -and perhaps most importantly, defiant- roar to offer you a chance to let your hair down (or up!) and to once again enjoy the freedom of joyous celebration and expression.

We’re entertaining, we all want people to have a good time, but you don’t have to switch your brain off to dance and have a good time,” concludes Monroe, “Fight boredom, fight normalcy, fight against what you’re told, what you’re supposed to do, be, or say. It’s about letting yourself be yourself and no apologies, about having no regrets.” The legend has spoken; it’d be rude not to listen.

The band is due to appear at a string of summer festival shows and will be touring in support of the album on the following dates:

04 Jun – ROCK HARD FESTIVAL, Gelsenkirchen (DE)
06 Jun – K.B. Hallen, Copenhagen (DK)*

CELTIC HILLS Release Video ‘Metal Message’ from New Album “Huldufólk”

Italian legendary Speed/thrash metallers CELTIC HILLS unleashed their highly anticipated new album “Huldufólk” on April 1st, via Elevate Records, which is receiving praising reviews from worldwide media, and only in a couple of weeks it had gained more than 600,000 listeners on Number1 Music!

Today the band has released a new official lyric video ‘Metal Message‘ from “Huldufólk”, watch it below. The video was created by Dime – who has worked for Sabaton, Powerwolf, Sodom – of Instagoodpromotion.

“Huldufolk” collects and relaunches the excellent reviews obtained from the previous work. “Huldufolk” is a record with a lot of melody but characterized by the speed that distinguishes Celtic Hills. The album was produced by Michele Guaitoli, singer of Temperance and Vision of Atlantis in the studios of the Groove Factory in Udine and for the realization of the cover again the talented Sheila Franco.

Band’s singer and guitarist Jonathan Vanderbilt on “Huldufólk”:
“Again this time we will talk about Friuli, and the theory is at work that the location of the American Air Force Base Aviano is used to control an ancient access to the underground world, which has been used by the pagan gods since ancient times. The magical rites of the inhabitants of the mountains and the places where elves, fairies and gnomes once lived among the people are revealed. There are already definitive titles such as The Sound of the Earth in F sharp minor. A text tells how you can use the beneficial energy of the trees at dawn to strengthen your energies, but there will be no lack of historical events that accompany every CELTIC HILLS album.”

Jonathan on the album cover artwork:
“The cover was again entrusted to Sheila Franco with the input of drawing a brighter cover, with the predominant green between the green that characterizes the MATRIX movie and the green of uncontaminated nature. A record in the balance between the enchanted world of legends, heroic deeds performed by people who wanted a better world. A record that looks to the past, projecting itself into a future to be built. A passing disc that wants to take past history with it to go further …to draw.”

The tracklisting reads the following:
1 – The Secret of the Grail
2 – Metal Message
3 – After The Eartquake
4 – Hidden Folk
5 – Green Forest
6 – Gate Of Hollow Earth
7 – Living Out Of The Egg
8 – The Sound Of Earth
9 – The Hammer Of Thor
10 – Villacher Kirktag

CELTIC HILLS were born in 2010, in 2020 they sign a recording contract with Elevate Records with which they released the album “Blood over Intents” and the EP “Schrage Musik” both in 2020. In 2021 another album is out “Mystai Keltoy” produced and recorded by Michele Guaitoli singer of Temperance, Vision of Atlantis and Era. The style played is difficult to place in a single vein of metal, as there are many influences ranging from death to power, with sound elements that can also recall a certain type of 90’s thrash. The singing is quite varied, and for some listeners it may seem unusual in a metal band. power, speed and good melodic lines distinguish the band from others. Between 2010 and 2020 they released “Horns helmet fighters” and for the Slovak Music Globalliance they came out on international compilations on volumes 2,3,4. CELTIC HILLS’ new album “Huldufólk” was released on April 1st, 2022 via Elevate Records.

SEPTEKH Release New Video/Single ‘Greetings From the End’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 30, 2022
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: SEPTEKH. Leave a comment

Sweden’s own death thrashers SEPTEKH have signed a record deal with ViciSolum Productions and are releasing the brand new video/single “Greetings from the End”. The song is taken from the bands forthcoming EP, with the same title. The EP will be released via ViciSolum Productions on May 13!

With work on the next full length already on the way Septekh once again turned to a proven side path. The plan this time was to do a quick EP and get a handful of eclectic songs out as a stopgap and palette cleanser for the next release. The pandemic turned that quick gap into a two year near complete hiatus. But there is always a silver lining. Having found a very good home for this and upcoming releases on ViciSolum Productions, vocalist Ldy GRZNLS comments about the forthcoming EP as follows:

“Greetings from the End feels more solid and derived than ever. A lethal, rascal spirit-energy as well as the rawness and craftsmanship that comes with age. Personally this latest batch of songs became the canvas to observe my own trajectory. Suicide. Immortality. Biography.”

Give yourself to the Plan!

‘Non-Euclidean Heart’ is MARATON`s second single from their upcoming album. The song is both vulnerable but at the same time an optimistic track, with catchy melodies and groovy rhythms that immediately sticks.

Listen here:  https://orcd.co/euclidean

About the upcoming single, songwriter and guitarist Simen Ruud states:

“I wrote Non-Euclidean Heart about forging your own path in life and doing whatever feels right, despite expectations. The lyrics have a very self-aware and sarcastic quality to them, and the lyrical themes worked really well both musically and sonically.”

Maraton creates a distinct and iconic sound that is characterized by combining and experimenting with different genres.
They include elements from everything from electronic music, indie rock, pop and progressive metal and the result is a truly unique take on alternative rock.

Maraton
released their debut album “Meta” in 2019, with great success and reviews internationally. At the time of writing the band’s fan base is constantly growing and their debut album has almost 3 million plays on Spotify alone, despite the pandemic and little to no opportunities for concerts.Maraton will be releasing their second album fall 22.
