VOMIT FORTH have joined forces with Century Media. The Connecticut-based “Northeast Death Metal” powerhouse are set to release their long-awaited full length, Seething Malevolenceon July 8th. While the band is known for a sound that borrows from the underappreciated East Coast death metal blueprint belched up from bands like Internal Bleeding and Scattered Remnants, Seething Malevolence expands to more experimental and unexpected sounds, refracting the band’s love for the likes of Napalm Death or Full of Hell.
Already known for their furious live show, sharpened by recent North American touring with labelmates, Frozen Soul and Sanguisugabogg, as well as experimental hardcore legends, Integrity, VOMIT FORTH’s name has cemented itself into the U.S. extreme metal landscape. The self-produced Seething Malevolence, which was mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Ghostmane and features U.S. noisemonger, Prurient on the opening track “Untitled” is a clear next step. The band’s prior demos, collected on 2019’s Maggot Stomp issued Northeastern Deprivation won the band raves in the underground and the attention of Century Media.
“We’re excited and grateful to be working with Century Media,” says frontman Kane Gelaznik who started the band in 2017 with drummer Nick Herrmann, bassist Tyler Bidwell and guitarist Ricky Brayall. “Going back to buying CDs from Asphyx, Merauder or Napalm Death, we’ve been fans of the label and really see them as a forward-thinking force in death metal. That’s the same attitude and vision we have towards our band and music – it’s no rules but our rules.”
“Hearing the unmixed record the band had produced themselves before they had signed with CM blew me away,” says Century Media Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter. “While the band’s influences in death metal and hardcore are present, that’s just where it starts. VOMIT FORTH is onto something deeper and more extreme.”
Seething Malevolence delivers on the promise of everything VOMIT FORTH has hinted at so far. Northeast Death Metal. The preorder has officially started, so check out the self-titled first single or preorder the album.
New Orleans’ EYEHATEGOD have teamed up with Chariot Of Black Moth for a new video clip for the song “Every Thing, Every Day”.
“Every Thing, Every Day” is taken from their last album, “A History of Nomadic Behavior”. The dedicated road dogs are currently touring the US before coming to Europe for festival appearances and shows in June, July and August.
EYEHATEGOD is the snarling, bilious sound of dead-end America. Since 1988, they’ve been a soundtrack for the troubled masses. Ugly music for ugly times. That’s the sense of disenchantment and disease that lies the heart of their latest and sixth full-length album, “A History of Nomadic Behavior”. This is disorienting, uneasy listening. Music that still very much hurts.
“This song derives from the chaotic feeling of losing one’s mind”, says the band about “Thinking In Tongues”, a brand new song that SUICIDE SILENCE is releasing before embarking on the “Chaos & Carnage Tour” throughout the US. “Feeling like you’re choking on every breath you take until you eventually break. Debilitating confusion sets in and your mind begins ‘Thinking in Tongues’; essentially processing thoughts that not even you yourself can understand. In a sense, this song evokes the ultimate sense of helplessness.”
On another note “Thinking In Tongues” is drummer Alex Lopez’s final studio performance, the band further explains: “SUICIDE SILENCE and our long-time drummer, Alex Lopez, have mutually agreed to part ways. We wish him nothing but the best moving forward and encourage you all to follow his future endeavors in both music and visual arts. Our good friend, Ernie Iniguez (who recorded drums on ‘Become The Hunter’) will be drumming with us on the upcoming ‘Chaos & Carnage Tour’ and European festival run.”
BEHEMOTH, the high priests of extreme metal, have announced their 12th studio album, Opvs Contra Natvram, their most thought-provoking and arresting collection to date. The album is set for release on September 16 via Nuclear Blast. Pre-order or pre-save the album here: https://behemoth.bfan.link/opvs-contra-natvram
The video for Ov My Herculean Exile has been directed by Zuzanna Plisz. You can watch it here:
The ten chapters of fury that make up Opvs Contra Natvram were written and recorded over the course of a very strange year for the globe — a situation which only heightened the level of craft seen in these 43 minutes and 15 seconds of searing wrath. As with previous studio outings, Opvs… was produced by BEHEMOTH, with mixing handled by acclaimed studio legend Joe Barresi (Nine Inch Nails, Tool, QOTSA, Alice in Chains).
Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and absolute creative control of BEHEMOTH‘s world, frontman and band visionary, Adam “Nergal” Darski reveled in the depressurized environment afforded by the pandemic. It meant that for nearly the first time since the band’s inception over 30 years ago, there was no deadline to observe, allowing for a nearly unprecedented level of attention to the process of writing and recording.
Beyond any confines of genre, BEHEMOTH have grown to become nothing less than the personification of rebellion, individuality, and unflinching self-expression informed by a literate worldview and worldliness that’s resulted in a locking of horns with everything from the mainstream press to the Polish Catholic church — most notably manifesting in Nergal’s trial for blasphemy in 2010 that only served to expose the deep-seated hypocrisies that his music seeks to challenge.
“The album title means going against the current,”Nergal states. “It’s the negative of the values and morals and ethics that I stand against. I’ve seriously been wrestling with destructive tendencies in pop culture — cancel culture, social media, and tools which I feel are very dangerous weapons in the hands of people who are not competent to judge others. That’s something which I find very destructive and disturbing — and extremely limiting coming from an artists’ perspective. This is my middle finger to that. There’s a song on the record called ‘Neo-Spartacvs.’ Spartacus was one of the most iconic rebels in history who went against the most powerful empire of all time. In the end, it’s me screaming, ‘I Am Spartacus, and so are you!’ I want to spark that flame of rebellion. If something seems wrong then stand up to it!”
Opvs Contra Natvram features twin cover art available in both black and white and will be released in the following array of physical formats designed by Bartek Rogalewicz (Lodge.Black), certain to thrill collectors of limited editions:

Tokyo, Japan-based doom metal trio, HEBI KATANA, has announced the worldwide release of their latest, sophomore studio album, Impermanence. Following an exclusive Japanese edition, the album will be released on June 24, 2022 via Argonauta Records!
HEBI KATANA was formed in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. Of what started in extensive jam sessions and first demo recordings on an iPhone, should soon become a monolith of a heavy doom debut, when the trio took the heavy music community by storm with their self-released album. In 2021, the Samurai doomsters teamed up with the Italian powerhouse label Argonauta, who released their first full-length album as a part of the Argonauta LTD100 Vinyl-series.
While HEBI KATANA‘s second album, Impermanence, was distributed earlier this year, in February via Unforgiven Blood Records (Disc Union) in Japan, heavy and classic doom metal fans, who have a soft spot for 70’s vintage rock, dark melodies, big groove and a hint of grunge, should give ear and watch out, when Impermanence will be available in the rest of world this summer! To get you in the mood, the band has just unleashed a music video for Pain Should I Take, watch the clip right here:
Impermanence was recorded by HEBI KATANA at studio Koyama and Yasuzo place in Koenji, and was produced, mixed and mastered by Yukito Okazaki (Eternal Elysium) at studio ZEN.
Finnish-based AMONGST THE ASHES have released a new song called “Exalted Traitors”, featuring cinematic and epic atmosphere, an array of different vocals styles, and fast-paced riffs. Persian Setar, a type of lute used in Persian traditional music, highlights the song with its unique sound that’s very rarely heard in metal music.
Lyrics are about Metaphorical litigation in the face of challenging social, cultural and economic conditions imposed by the Iranian government upon the people.
Amongst the Ashes was established in 2018 as the solo project of Aelian Hallaji who has been a long-time musician/songwriter in Iranian metal scene. The band’s music is mostly based on combination of fast-paced heavy riffs and eerie middle eastern themes as a background for Hallaji’s metaphorically pleading words. The first Single “Blood Red Hands” was released in August 2020, followed by “Agonizing Awakening” EP in September as a one-man band, which got superb feedback and was featured on many radio shows, worldwide. Since early 2021, Aelian has moved to Finland and invited very talented musicians from Tampere, to cooperate. This single and the upcoming EP will introduce the band’s new chapter and feature familiar elements from the earlier releases coupled with all the more aggressive touch and world-class production quality.
