BATTLE BEAST Announce Line-Up Change And Welcome New Vocalist Marina La Torraca

BATTLE BEAST have announced that long-time vocalist Noora Louhimo will be departing the band. The news was shared on the band’s official social media channels yesterday.
While the band bids farewell to a defining voice in its history, BATTLE BEAST are equally thrilled to introduce their new singer: Marina La Torraca.

The band states: “One story ends, another begins. We’re excited to start this new chapter and introduce you to the new voice of Battle Beast, Marina.”

Marina La Torraca is a Brazilian vocalist from São Paulo, best known as the powerhouse frontwoman of modern metal band Phantom Elite and as a member of the symphonic metal project Exit Eden. She began performing in her teens in local cover bands before moving into formal training, including studying musical theatre in New York.

Renowned for her versatile, commanding vocal range, Marina effortlessly transitions from dramatic, melodic passages to fierce, harsh screams. Alongside her career in metal, she has starred in professional musical theatre productions across German-speaking countries. Beyond the stage, she is also an accomplished graphic designer, vocal coach, producer, and songwriter.

Marina La Torraca comments:

“When I first saw an email with both Battle Beast and my name in the subject line, I honestly thought it had to be a mistake. But once I opened it, I couldn’t have been happier. I’m incredibly honored to be part of this new chapter and deeply grateful for the trust and support from the band.

Is it a little terrifying to follow in the wake of a vocal legend like Noora? You bet! Is it also very exciting? Absolutely. Battle Beast is one of the hardest-working and most genuinely talented bands out there, and I’m proud to be here to help them keep growing and spreading joy. Buckle up—this is going to be fun.”

BATTLE BEAST are excited for this new chapter and look forward to bringing fresh energy and music to their fans worldwide. The first shows with Marina La Torraca will take place in March 2026 when BATTLE BEAST hit Japan and Australia!

PARADISE LOST Unveil New Video for ‘Salvation’ from Acclaimed New Album “Ascension”

Icons of goth and doom, PARADISE LOST have revealed a new music video for the song ‘Salvation’ from the band’s widely acclaimed new album, Ascension. Directed by longtime collaborator Ash Pears, the stunning, cinematic portrayal of one of 2025’s most haunting tracks provides further evidence of their unyielding creative vision decades into the band’s legendary career.

Commenting on the song and video, vocalist Nick Holmes states:

“Salvation embraces the belief in a higher power and seeking forgiveness for a lifetime of transgression, typically prompted by the approach of death or a significant crisis. However, the video, and given that it is Christmas, takes perhaps a more optimistic view. It portrays the connection between two individuals committed to upholding a beacon, a symbol they will protect until their last breath and pass on for others to embrace. Whether this force is ultimately good or bad will always remain a mystery.“

PARADISE LOST’s first album in 5 years, following 2020’s acclaimed Obsidian, was produced by the band’s revered guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackrory and is adorned with artwork by renowned British artist George Frederic Watts’ classic painting The Court of Death (1870-1902). Their latest, critically lauded masterpiece soaked in misery and grief, soars with song’s like ‘Tyrants Serenade,’ ‘Serpent on the Cross’ and ‘Silence Like The Grave,’ that take listeners on an unforgettable journey through morose despair forged in soundscape of massive riffs and searing solos.

PARADISE LOST will embark on the second leg of their “Ascension of Europe” tour in February. Tickets are on sale now at: https://tix.to/Ascension

BROKEN WINGS Return with New Lyric Video for ‘WAR’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on December 16, 2025

Broken Wings return with “WAR”, the new lyric video created by Nicla Cucini—an artwork that fuses music and imagery into a single, powerful statement of intent. “WAR” is a deep and restless journey through both the visible and invisible forms of war: those that devastate cities and those that silently consume the soul. Watch the lyric video below.

The band deliberately steps away from their traditional raw, straight-ahead heavy rock sound to immerse themselves in a different sonic territory—darker, more visceral. The song was born from an instant intuition, a flash that carried with it visions of rubble, inner conflict, and a humanity tested by a fragile present marked by global tensions and personal vulnerabilities impossible to ignore. All of this is reflected in the writing, the imagery, and the very character of the track.

From that initial spark, “WAR” grew into a grunge-rock crescendo dense with pathos—a sonic body that throbs, fractures, and reassembles itself. It is a song that does not merely tell a story: it screams, bleeds, observes, and leads the listener straight into an open wound.

The lyrics confront the weight of bombs—both real and mental—the corrosive power of hatred, and the broken promises of those who hold power. Yet amid the smoke and the collapse, a fragile and stubborn presence remains: a star, symbol of a hope that refuses to be erased, even when every other light seems to have gone out.

In the final scene, as a man walks away from a ruined city, his dog appears beside him—alive.
This image, simple and almost minimal, strikes straight to the heart: it represents that instinctive purity, that absolute loyalty, so often forgotten by human beings. A silent force, so authentic that it feels more “human” than humanity itself.

And it is precisely this vision that closes “WAR”.
There is no triumph, no definitive answer.
Instead, there is a warning—an echo that lingers: despite everything, something can still survive.

“WAR” is a passage through collapse and resistance, a cry against dehumanization and, at the same time, a whisper that reminds us:
as long as a spark exists, there is still a reason to fight.

ARMAGEDDON’s Long Lost Cult Classic Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Reissue

ARMAGEDDON was formed in 1974, and their self-titled debut, Armageddon, released in 1975, was recorded in England and released in the United States on A&M Records. The albums’ original liner notes use the term “supergroup”, as their personnel were drummer Bobby Caldwell (previously a member of Captain Beyond), singer Keith Relf (who had fronted the band the Yardbirds and was a co-founder of Renaissance), guitarist Martin Pugh (from Steamhammer), and bassist Louis Cennamo (also formerly of Renaissance and Steamhammer).

This classic has now been remastered and repackaged in a beautiful gatefold on 180G Atomic Red Vinyl with additional photos and credits to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.  There is a Limited (100 copies) signed bundle that comes with a 10×10 print signed by all three-surviving members (Bobby Caldwell, Louis Cennamo, Martin Pugh). As Caldwell states, “Hello!  It was a great pleasure to have written and worked on the Armageddon album with the late Keith Relf, Martin Pugh, and Louis Cenamo, some of the finest players in England!  We had a lot of fun, and we are delighted to see the album being re-issued by Deko Entertainment. We hope you enjoy it. Many thanks! Best Wishes.

Listen to “Buzzard” here:

Pugh continues, “I am thrilled that Deko is recognizing the 50th anniversary of Armageddon with this timely release of the vinyl. Keith, Louis and myself flew out from London following a dream, when we arrived in Hollywood, met and jammed with Bobby, the dream came true.” Cennamo concludes, “Armageddon, our supergroup that nearly was and now just might always be!”

Armageddon is a limited pressing of 500 copies and continues in the tradition of Deko Entertainments mission to bring lost classics back to life and sometimes for the first time ever on vinyl. Recent releases have included Trapeze, Angel, Dokken, Warrant, Slaughter, Stevie Salas, and others.
