Finnish melodic metal band JUSTICE THEORY has released new fast-paced single, entitled THE ABANDONED from their upcoming EP! It’s the second single out off Beaten Will Rise EP, that will be out by the end of this Spring. The track raises the speed and aggressiveness to higher level and shows a new style of vocals that haven’t been heard before from Justice Theory. Crank your speakers loud and let it make you bang your head!
Justice Theory is a four-piece formed by four guys from Jyväskylä Central Finland. The band was founded in 2012 and has been active live band since 2014. They have toured around Finland and maybe the most important show so far has been at legendary Jalometalli Festival in 2016.
Today French metallers STENGAH release their debut album SOMA SEMA via Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group. To celebrate they have revealed the lyric video for new song “Swoon,” which you can watch here. Today they also kick off their French tour at Le Confort Moderne, Poitiers.
Talking about the song Eliott Williame says, “Swoon is the sad story of a person who falls in love with the dreamed and ideal version of itself. It’s a painful journey, trying to coexist with that artificial other one, to look alike, to behave alike… basically wasting its life trying to be that someone he/she is not. And in the end, that feeling of being two people at once, only gets the character to self-destruct, mentally and physically.”
Continuing he adds “You can musically feel the lament of this song. Through the light and dark of something you over desire, it’s a call to accept yourself, to live by yourself and not through the eyes of someone else.”
“Swoon” is the fifth song to be released from the album following “Message in Memories.” All of the songs have a thematic link running through them. “He and the Sea” is based on a French children’s book called ‘La Mer et Lui’ by Henri Meunier & Régis Lejonc. It is about grieving an achieved journey and the beginning of a new one. It’s a song about the challenge of finding new purposes in life, going through strong feelings, and curating our precious memories. The key to an endless existence. Interlinked with the band’s previous two videos, we find ourselves in the man’s head from “At the Behest of Origins,” exploring this incarnation of his mind filled with a confrontation of love, anger, fear, curiosity and balance.
The video for “At the Behest of Origins” is a beautiful cinematic experience, which follows a man who wakes up at the sea edge. The viewer proceeds to observe a ‘conversation’ with a woman as his inner self as they share enigmatic messages and dialogue in a language that is only available as a related poem hosted on the band’s website. This followed the band’s debut single “Above Inhumanity,” which is about a confrontation between loneliness and fellowship through an imaginary conversation.
The French quintet has spent the last few years in a state of perpetual evolution, armed with some of the most visceral and forward-thinking riffs and refrains in recent memory. With shades of crunchy post-djent muscularity, these young virtuosos are carving their unique path to metal glory. Both thrillingly primal and ferociously intelligent, this music aspires to enlighten and brutalise in equal measure.
Founded by drummer Eliott Williame, STENGAH has the sound, the smarts, and the ambition to push heavy music ever further into the future. After years of steady evolution and meticulous attention to detail, the band – completed by bassist Benoit Creteur, lead guitarist Maxime Delassus, rhythm guitarist Alexis Dewasch and powerhouse frontman Nicolas Queste – have honed their sound to a state of cutting-edge perfection.
“The music is about (re)connecting with yourself,” says Eliott. “It is about people, their fears, their faiths and their philosophies. How sometimes those things can guide them, and how sometimes they can blind them. It asks, with no judgement, about how odd and how strange the social and emotional behaviours of human beings are. It’s all about the power to believe, in creativity, and consciousness.”

Mysteries darken the sky these days and only the bravest dare to lift the veil between the mere mortals and ominous forces lurking in the night: BLIND GUARDIAN trackened down the “Secrets Of The American Gods” and reveal their eponymous new single today!
The powerful, majestic new track comes with a performance video that was filmed during the recordings for the band’s new album in the Twilight Hall Studios between March 2020 and 2021. Once again, the masterfully arranged artwork for the single was created by Andrea Christen.
Singer Hansi Kürsch comments: “The time has come to unveal another secret: With ‘Secrets Of The American Gods’, we proudly present you the epic side of our new album that’s going to be released in September. This single edit focuses on the essence of this magnificent composition and gives you an insight into our creative work in these eventful times. The vivid construction of this song circles around its core, the monumental chorus – hopefully the “American Gods” worthy. A thoroughly felicitious ear candy, in my opinion. I promise you, it’s not easy to get rid of the refrain. The tracks gets completed with the fantastic making-of-clip that Dirk Behlau created. Enjoy the moment and keep the secret: Be assured that we still haven’t played all our cards and still have some aces up our sleeves. Maybe no additional secrets but celestial surprises. Stay tuned!”

Wolfheart leader Tuomas Saukkonen teamed up with Petro Solovey, the frontman of the Ukrainian melodic death metal band Wolfanger, to release the single “Glory to the Heroes”. With Petro on vocal and lyric duties and Tuomas providing the music, all royalties of the track will be donated towww.comebackalive.in.ua and the label Stay Heavy Records has agreed to donate 1000€ of royalties upfront as help for Ukraine is needed as soon as possible! In addition Wolfheart, Before The Dawn and Dawn of Solace are offering their support with a joint merch campaign provided by RECORDSHOP X, with all proceeds going directly to www.comebackalive.in.ua.
Petro and Tuomas already collaborated on the Wolfheart single “Skull Soldiers”, released in March 2021, which paid tribute to the legendary Finnish soldiers of the Winter War (1939-1940), and just one year later they are back in the studio to honor the fighting heroes of Ukraine.
Petro Solovey comments: “The song is about the Ukrainian people, who became more united than ever at the sight of the threat. We fight not only armed but also with our bare hands, defending the lives of our loved ones, our landand our freedom. On February 24th we met the enemy face to face. We are united and that is our main weapon.“
Tuomas Saukkonen adds: “Slava Ukraini, Heroiam slava!“
Norwegian metallers MANIFEST have released a brand new track entitled L.G.A.D.. The song is a tribute to fallen Entombed legend L.G. Petrov, who passed away a year ago after battling cancer.
Manifest have issued the following comment regarding the song: “The death of L.G. Petrov in March last year came as very, very sad news. With his inhumane voice and unique charisma, L.G. was one of the greatest frontmen ever to be seen! We are sure he is giving the devil, and all of his friends, one hell of a time and we are dedicating this song to him. The legacy of L.G. Petrov deserves to live on forever!”
L.G.A.D. was produced by Manifest & Per Borten and mixed/mastered by Grammy award winning producer Oz Fritz. The track will be available on all streaming platforms on March 18th 2022, and will also be released as a lyric video on social media channels.
L.G.A.D. was recorded in Sørgården Studio, Norway, during the recording sessions for the new Manifest album, set for release later in the year via ViciSolum Productions/Sound Pollution distribution.
