SHOTGUN MISTRESS Release New Single ‘May She Never Walk Alone (Unplugged)’

SHOTGUN MISTRESS have dropped a sensational unplugged version of the hit ballad, ‘May She Never Walk Alone’, out now through Crusader Records.

After a string of successful singles that gathered global interest, the Melbourne based rockers released their debut self-titled album in July 2021, which was met with strong critical acclaim, brandishing monster arena ready tracks such as ‘Glorious Machine’, ‘Collide’ and ‘Bleed Me Out’.

‘May She Never Walk Alone’ describes the transience of life, exquisitely portrayed in a heady and dynamic ballad. While harnessing the expressive tonal colours of a string section, this masterful track mixes eloquence with a dash of spirit-fuelled raw energy. ‘May She Never Walk Alone’ is painfully poignant. For the fallen who we all know, and for those we don’t.

Shotgun Mistress was formed by Matt Wilcock (The Berzerker, Akercocke, Abramelin), an internationally renowned death-metal demon guitarist best known for playing at light speeds. He hooked up with “Diamond” David Lee on drums to jam out LA strip-era rock. Ben Curnow (EARTH) joined on bass along with vocalist Glenn Patrick (of Collegians, featuring members of Pseudo Echo and Invertigo).

Shotgun Mistress was the first Australian band to join Golden Robot’s metal label Crusader Records.

I’m glad bands like this are still around, sometimes you get tired of the angst-ridden modern rock, Voodoo Moonshine is easy on the brain and dare I say “fun” to listen to! – RockYouShow.com

The first four tracks are simply brilliant. – SleazeRoxx.com

Voodoo Moonshine, a “bluesy groove rock band”, currently from Florida/Georgia was formed in Memphis, TN in 2003 by lead guitarist, Jeff Losawyer. The debut album, Decade of Decay, was released in March 2005, and was well received throughout Europe. A tour was booked, including shows in England, Ireland, and Scotland. Due to the album’s success they were voted “Number One Band” seven times in England, and six times in Japan. In mid 2005, Voodoo Moonshine was introduced in Dublin, Ireland and quickly became one of the top three requested bands there.

Their debut received rave reviews in many music publications including R.I.P. Magazine. 2006 saw the band’s popularity continue to rise, and rock radio around the world stood up and took notice. Voodoo Moonshine could be heard in Portugal, Greece, Canada and of course, at home in America. Many times during the year, the band’s songs charted ahead of some of rock’s so-called heavy hitters, like Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Guns N Roses and the Scorpions. The album Decade of Decay continued to do extremely well deep into 2007, more than two full years after its release. As the year wound down, the band took some much needed, and well deserved, time off. This eventually led to guitarist Jeff Losawyer’s work on a solo album. Jeff continued to write music during this time, and never gave up his passion to play.

Fast forward, and suddenly 12 years had passed. Interestingly enough, he heard Pedro Espada singing in a YouTube video and really liked what he heard. He took a chance and reached out to Pedro to see if he would be interested in singing some of his songs. Initially he didn’t receive a very warm response. As a matter of fact, he was mostly ignored, but he knew he had found the right man for the job, so he was persistent. His persistence paid off and Jeff was invited to Daytona Beach Bike Week 2018 to jam with Pedro and his bandmates of Rockit Fly. Needless to say, things went well with Pedro, former Nova Rex member Eddie Cruise and Hector Acevedo, merging together to bring back Voodoo Moonshine.

There is a lot of talk for what the future has in store for Voodoo Moonshine. Stay tuned.

Voodoo Moonshine are
Pedro Espada – vocals
Jeff Losawyer – guitar
Hector Acevedo – bass
Eddie Cruise – drums

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of Baltimore tech death outfit WORMHOLE! The band is gearing up to release their third full-length album, which will be released by Season of Mist in 2023! Stay tuned!

With influences drawn from bands like BEYOND CREATION and NECROPHAGIST, WORMHOLE‘s music is bridging the gap between brutality and virtuosity.

The band comments on the signing:

“WORMHOLE are humbled to announce our signing with Season of Mist. We are beyond excited for our partnership and to be part of such an exceptional roster.

“In addition, WORMHOLE would also like to welcome Julian Kersey to the band as our new vocalist. Thank you Season of Mist and our manager Rob Wharton for believing in WORMHOLE.

“A new era of technical slamming brutality is among us.”

The band hits the road tomorrow, March 16, in their hometown of Baltimore, MD and will pummel the East Coast until the tour’s final stop in Brooklyn, NY on April 2. In October 2015, and in 2016 WORMHOLE released their aptly titled debut album “Genesis” on Lacerated Enemy Records.

With influences drawn from Necrophagist, Abominable Putridity, and Beyond Creation, WORMHOLE has been described as “monumental” and “monstrous”, with “ferocious slams” that “bludgeon listeners senseless”.

In December 2017, WORMHOLE made their incendiary live debut. In 2018, they partnered with Vulvodynia on a tour of Europe, and in 2019 joined the infamous yearly Tech Trek tour with death metal giants ARCHSPIRE, INFERI, and VIRVUM.

“The Weakest Among Us”, released in January 2020, WORMHOLE is bridging the gap between brutality and virtuosity and pushing the boundaries of what a death metal band can be.

WORMHOLE will release their third album in 2023 via Season of Mist.

THE THREE TREMORS Release Video ‘Kryptonian Steel’

THE THREE TREMORS have released the final video “Kryptonian Steel” off of their latest album  “Guardians of the Void”. The band features Tim “Ripper” Owens, Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin and Sean “The Hell Destroyer” Peck on vocals backed by the members of CAGE. The critically acclaimed album was well received by the press and had only 3 songs hit the streaming platforms to date.

This song is of course an homage to the Man of Steel Superman and is the brainchild of Sean Peck well known for his comic book collecting. “I try to keep writing songs about comic book characters with all the bands I am in and now here we have my first DC character song. I am probably the number one comic book song guy on Earth come to think of it ha! When I sent the lyrics to Ripper I was laughing to myself because I thought he would absolutely hate singing these lyrics.”

Ripper said “We had been doing this intro live to the song where I talk about how I was dreading singing these lyrics and it ended up being one of my favorites on the album. We have a great time playing this one live”

Harry chimed in “This song kicks ass I am glad we did a video on it so people who have not supported us by buying the physical copy can hear what they are missing. So I say support heavy metal and pick up the record because you need to hear the other 8 songs that are not being released to the free streaming platforms.”

The song drops a lot of Superman lore and the animation on the video keeps the intense level of violence rocking with the speed metal nature of the track.

AGATHODAIMON Reveal Third Single + Official Music Video ‘Kyrie/Gloria’

Rejoining forces after many years of silence, AGATHODAIMON’s long-awaited comeback album, The Seven, is one not to miss! The bittersweet seventh record of the German dark metal force will drop this Friday, March 18 via Napalm Records. The brand new ten track offering stays true to their old-school spirit and hits with new vigor, one hard to pigeonhole due to its widespread musical styles, creating gloomy atmospheres with sharp growls and insane clear vocals.

After unveiling the massively intense first single “Ain’t Death Grand”, followed by gloomy “Wolf Within”, the gates of darkness are calling you to enter once more with the infernal third offering “Kyrie/Gloria”. The track stomps towards heavy doom metal, conjuring a black mass with creeping darkness and desperate screams turning into harsh black metal parts, all topped by the outstanding guest appearance of Benighted frontman Julien Truchan. “Kyrie/Gloria” comes along with an atmospherically fitting music video shot within the impressive scenery of Arenfels Castle, Germany. AGATHODAIMON are ringing the bell for one last dance with the devil before The Seven is finally unleashed.

AGATHODAIMON on “Kyrie/Gloria”:
“This is one of the most extreme songs on our album. Blast beats meet excessive Doom Metal riffs… We love the intense atmosphere evoked here – the song has an awesome groove, and we’re really looking forward to playing it live. Oh, and we highly suggest checking out the video clip we did for this one!”

Formed in 1995 and entering the scene with their debut, Blacken the Angel, in 1998, bandleader Sathonys was temporarily forced to put AGATHODAIMON on hold in 2014 due to private circumstances. But the irrevocable fire of the band and their fans never went out, seeking a reawakening of this sonic, seething beast. The unit’s massive new outburst, The Seven, reveals extreme soundscapes amid a captivating concoction of evil, provoking, cutting dark metal and heroic symphonic black metal in the style of bands like Cradle of Filth and Carach Angren, but with their unique and very own multifaceted take. Thematically, as hinted by the album’s title, the full-length is centered around the momentous and symbolically powerful number seven and the seven deadly sins – sloth, greed, lust, gluttony, pride, wrath, envy – on ten tracks total, all addressed with religious themes that contrast with human beings and its original nature.

Sathonys about the album:
“Well, we took our time in creating this album. We had to make sure we (can) work together as a band after all these years, that the chemistry is there, that it feels organic to release another album after such a long break. To cut it short, we’re really looking forward to having The Seven out, as we’re very satisfied with it. More than that, we’re proud of it. Typically, you can point a finger at one or two songs that really stand out from the rest, but here, you’ll feel the effort that was put into every song and every aspect. Not only in terms of songwriting, there’s also the artistic concept and visual artwork/realization delivered by the team of Credo Quia Absurdum, and excellent production under the supervision of our friend Kristian “Kohle” Kohlmannslehner (Powerwolf, Aborted, Benighted etc.). Usually you have to be prepared to make compromises. The Seven is far from that, as it is our most ambitious album to date.”

Pre-order your copy of The Seven NOW!

Diving into this exciting construct with opener “La Haine”, the track lures the listener into the freezing, dark world of AGATHODAIMON, produced by long-time companion Kristian “Kohle” Bonifer (Aborted, Powerwolf, Hämatom amongst others), by building up a dense wall of thunderous sound, accented by a multifaceted vocal interpretation. Songs like massive first single “Ain’t Death Grand” and haunting “In my Dreams” roam between dense soundscapes, crushing instrumentals and intense lyricism. Amid the tracklisting there’s another special treat for fans lurking with epochal orchestration that paves the way for the remarkable performance of AGATHODAIMON’s former vocalist, Romanian Vlad Dracul, on “Mother of all Gods”. It’s not only this very first collaboration since 1999, but The Seven as a whole, that showcases that AGATHODAIMON absolutely acing the balancing act of incorporating their past into a bright and exciting future.

The Seven tracklist:
1. La Haine
2. Ain’t Death Grand
3. Wolf Within
4. Ghosts of Greed
