LAST TEMPTATION Release New Single ‘Main Attraction’ from Upcoming Album

LAST TEMPTATION returns with a brand-new single ‘Main Attraction’, the perfect set up for their upcoming new album ‘Fuel for My Soul’, due for release on May 20 on both CD and digital, with vinyl out on September 2 via Crusader Records, available for pre-order/add/save now.

‘Main Attraction’ is an absolute screamer, soaked with the best traditional metal influences. The message is; once again, humanity tries to reassure itself about its life. ‘Main Attraction’ touches on the idea that sometimes we have the impression of doing things well, with the end being quite the opposite. It’s already too late to change anything.

Listen to ‘Main Attraction’ HERE

‘Fuel for my Soul’ is a great step forward for LAST TEMPTATION. Recorded in a week, the band took their time to rehearse the new songs and had over 40 demos before eventually narrowing it down to 11 hard-hitting tracks.

‘Fuel for my Soul’ has an entirely different production style compared to the last album. All the rhythm tracks, bass, drums and guitars were recorded live, and the songs are far more eclectic than previous releases. While LAST TEMPTATION still maintain their Ozzy/Black Sabbath influences, they add a grungy twist, along with big choruses that give an 80’s vibe.

FUEL FOR MY SOUL – tracklisting

  1. Ashes and Fire
  2. I Believe
  3. Stronger Than Fate
  4. I Don’t Wanna be Your God
  5. Fuel for My Soul
  6. Carousel of Hell
  7. Free, Strong and Loud
  8. In the Mirror
  9. Main Attraction
  10. The Answer
  11. Going Crazy

SPIRIT ADRIFT expand their prolific catalog with “20 Centuries Gone ”, a collection of two new original songs and six cover songs that span the timeline of the band’s most foundational influences. Featuring artwork by Brian Mercer (Lamb of God, High on Fire, Mastodon), and mixed by Zeuss (Overkill, Crowbar, Municipal Waste), this release is a powerful journey through the past, present, and future of trad-metal’s most exciting new band.  On “20 Centuries Gone”, SPIRIT ADRIFT put their trademark swagger on classics from Type O Negative, Pantera, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The new 8-song collection features 2 new originals and 6 cover songs, set for release on August 19th.

SPIRIT ADRIFT mastermind Nate Garrett comments:
“I always thought it would be a cool experience to record some songs by bands that are foundational to the DNA of SPIRIT ADRIFT. These choices are obvious and on the nose to me, but maybe unexpected to the fans.  That made the whole thing a lot of fun.  A band like Lynyrd Skynyrd might not be the first thing you think of when considering SPIRIT ADRIFT’s influences, so the task for me became figuring out how to honor these great songs, but in the distinct SPIRIT ADRIFT style.  To make the whole thing even more special, I channeled these influences and wrote a couple of new songs to kick things off.  There’s a lyric in ‘Sorcerer’s Fate’ that mentions ‘past and future both aligned,’ and that became the concept here.  The whole thing is presented in reverse chronological order.  That way, you get a sense of where SPIRIT ADRIFT is headed, but you’re also taken on a journey back in time through our most fundamental influences. Hope y’all enjoy it!”

DVNE are a band of great contrasts, weaving titanic heaviness and intricate gentleness together, complex lyrical ideas with engaging storylines, and this has only been expanded upon and concentrated on second album Etemen Ænka. “It is a very dense and layered album which will reward multiple listens, and while this is becoming a recurring aspect of our music, we feel that we went further with it this time. It’s also a very polarising album, emotionally speaking. The heavy sections are, well, very heavy, while the clean sections are much more intricate and delicate,” explains the band. Their name is a reference to the timeless sci-fi epic Dune by Frank Herbert, this is very much a genre that they happily inhabit, and is once again reflected in the lyrical content of the record. While wanting to create a universe of their own, they also cover more serious topics related to the society we live in, and while Asheran was very much focused on their relation to their surroundings and the environment, Etemen Ænka focuses much more on social issues and more specifically on inequalities and the human relationship with power.

May 20th 2022 will see the release of “Earthtorn“, the highly anticipated new studio album by Sayreville, New Jersey -based melodic doom metallers DRIFT INTO BLACK. After the release of the first single “It Fell From The Sky“, the band has shared a brand new lyric video for the track “Weight of Two Worlds”.

Drift Into Black‘s upcoming concept album “Earthtorn” flows continuously, telling the story of the extinction of humankind seen through the eyes of an extraterrestrial visitor disguised as a human sent to mother earth to analyze our behavior and eventually deplete us of all our natural resources. He learns about our past and our experiences of war sickness. Love, loss, and death, he falls in love with a woman and is torn between his selfishness for her. He begins to question his willingness to carry out his mission. He gets to watch as his love slowly falls victim to the disease and starts to wither away. Day by day, she grows sicker and eventually passes away from cancer. His experience of love, sickness, loss, and death is for real now. He realizes that there is nothing good left on Earth throughout all the darkness. He informs his planet that there is nothing to be retained here on Earth and that he will be returning home, leaving the human race to its slow decay.
