Amazon Fire TV, Roku, The Killer Movie Channel, and Apple TV, among other major streaming platforms have just released the video for the 2021 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Gala, hosted by Cathy Rankin.

“Due to the brutal Covid 19 restrictions which did not allow live audience attendance, or in person events, the 2021 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala and it’s streaming platform availability were extremely delayed,” says Metal Hall of Fame President/CEO Pat Gesualdo. “Nevertheless, the Metal Hall of Fame still stood strong under these monumental restrictions, and found the best possible way to continue the annual event that Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Fans love, and look forward to every year.”

The 2021 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala features special inductions for KISS and IRON MAIDEN, along with Inductions for STRYPER, TRIUMPH, photographer MARK WEISS, and guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN.

A Giant, All-Star Inductee presenter line-up includes: Paul Stanley, Dee Snider, Gus G, Jimmy Kay, Frank DiMino, Nigel Glockler, Tim “Ripper” Owens, Carrie Stevens, Charlie Benante, Keith Roth, Glam Rock Guy, Todd La Torre, Joey Vendetta, Roman Fernandez (Accepting for Bill Aucoin), Bobby Rock, Eric Singer, Lisa Lane Kulick, Jeff Scott Soto, Sara-Jean Bartky (Accepting for Eric Carr), and Chris Jericho, among others.

The complete recordings from the short-lived but powerful side project of Ministry’s Al Jourgensen and Fugazi’s Ian MacKaye are getting a special new release courtesy of Cleopatra Records! PAILHEAD combined Jourgensen’s electronic industrial production with MacKaye’s punk rock inspired guitar playing and songwriting. The group burned bright in its short existence, releasing just a handful of official tracks spread across 12” and 7” singles in 1987 & 1988. 

Now, these recordings along, with one rare mix and a brand new remix courtesy of The Mission/Peter Murphy guitarist Mark Gemini Thwaite, are being once again pressed on vinyl in a limited edition BLUE MARBLE pressing and in a slick digipak CD.

STREET FIGHTER are a new classic heavy metal & NWOBHM made in Denmark. In this first song, very Dio-inspired, they are graced by the vocals of Rasmus Bom Andersen (Diamond Head). Today the band has teamed up with Metal Shock Finland, to premiere, for Finnish territory, their new stunning lyric video “Queen Of The Night”, taken from the debut album, “Second Hand Hero”, coming out via From The Vaults in late 2022 or early 2023..

“Don’t wanna end like a second-hand hero”…

The idea for Street Fighter arose in the Autumn of 2020 at a hotel room in the North of Jutland, Denmark. Michael H. Andersen was reading articles about the NWOBHM scene in the early 80s, and about to visit his future business partner, Marco Angioni, at his studio. The name Street Fighter and the first song title “Second Hand Hero” came as a calling.

The day after, Marco and Michael hooked up to create the Angioni Studios together. Marco is the producer, engineer and main man behind the studio, and Michael is the behind-the-scene guy. Shortly after this cooperation, Michael presented the idea of Street Fighter to Marco. 

Since Marco with his Italian heavy metal background, and amazing work with his own band Meridian, plus writing, producing, and recording the “Resiliant Heart” album with David Reece (ex. Accept), Michael knew Marco was the right person for the job.

Marco quickly wrote, recorded, and composed what was to become “Queen Of The Night”. As for vocals, Michael approached his friend Rasmus Bom Andersen, front-man for Diamond Head. And of course, Rasmus delivered 100%, making it a powerful heavy metal song with strong references to early Dio.

The “Second Hand Hero” song is yet to be recorded and so are the rest of the songs for the Street Fighter album. But many songs are in the making, and the next single will show the amazing skills of Sofia Schmith, from Ethereal Kingdoms.

The Street Fighter debut album “Second Hand Hero” is due to be released on From The Vaults in late 2022 with Marco Angioni writing and recording all songs, inviting various guests to deliver the vocals. In fact, the model in the cover artwork of “Queen Of The Night” is Marco’s own daughter, in a photo session taken by his wife and photographer Lena Angioni.

Street Fighter will have its debut live show at the Heavy Metal Rock Meeting in April 2022 in Helsingør, Denmark, sharing the stage with Ambush, Screamer, Alien Force, etc.

The latest generation of Danish hard rock is sensational and JUNKYARD DRIVE are at the forefront. Today they have teamed up with Metal Shock Finland to premiere, for Finnish territory, their seminal ballad ‘The Wonderland Of Temptations’, taken from the band’s upcoming album “Electric Love”, out on Mighty Music on May 13th, 2022..

The song begins with soft piano and emotional vocals, which later is followed up by the rest of the band, ending with a heart bleeding guitar solo. This song shows the sensitive side of the band, but also proves their songwriting skills.

Ever since 2014, Junkyard Drive has been across half the world. With more than 100 concerts played, over five million streams and two records to this day, they’ve solidly planted their flag on the international rock scene, playing the big stages as the one in Sweden Rock Festival and doing the big tours with, for instance, Eclipse. After the success of their most recent album “Black Coffee” with new faces and ten new razor sharp songs, the band is now ready with their next record “Electric Love”. 

“Electric Love” marks a newfound maturity in the group’s universe. Armed with solid and ferocious riffs, the album exposes a hitherto unseen sincerity in the lyrical themes. The teenage days are over in favour of stories about self-development, inner tensions and love.

Helmed solely by technologist/songwriter Victor Love, MASTER BOOT RECORD is, if anything, creatively prolific. The follow-up to Floppy Disk Overdrive (2020), PERSONAL COMPUTER is Love’s latest offering since emerging as an 8-bit ghost from the bulletin board system (BBS) scene in 2016. Now, he’s returned to right-click on devotees with yet another easter egg and symbolism-rich mélange of intensely ornate yet driving digital orchestrations. Just don’t call PERSONAL COMPUTER synthwave, or whatever new-fangled term is being used to describe MASTER BOOT RECORDS masterful video game-like scoring. To put it simply: this is metal done with a synth.

“The main elements include chiptune, demoscene & video game music, thrash/death metal and some black metal as well as classical and symphonic patterns and progressive structures. But everything is programmed and done with synthesizers.” The result, influenced as much by classical baroque music, bay area thrash metal, and Commodore 64 games, is a frenzied mashup of what logic suggests should be disparate sounds, but in the hands of MBR make sense, taking the listener in unexpected and always thrilling directions, smashing through genre walls.

Celtic Punks PADDY AND THE RATS Reveal ‘After The Rain’ Official Video

Following the announcement of their new album, From Wasteland To Wonderland (out April 29, 2022 via Napalm Records), and the release of an accompanying lyric video for first single, “After The Rain”, PADDY AND THE RATS are following up with an official music video for the track, as promised. The clip embraces with nostalgia and offers a preview of the future, where the band members can be witnessed in 20 years. They’ve grown old but reunite once more to play together in the impressive landscape of their home country, Hungary. 

“After The Rain” delves into one of the most difficult periods of the band’s history, as a heartfelt dedication to accordion player Bernie Bellamy (Bernát Babicsek). Bellamy sadly passed away at the start of 2022, just months before the upcoming release of From Wasteland To Wonderland, which they had worked hard on and looked forward to releasing together. The ballad celebrates Bellamy with a longing melody accented by violin elements, ensuring that he will sail forever in our hearts. 

With their six full-length, PADDY AND THE RATS serve a top-notch pirate party fueled by a heavy dose of Punk, Polka and Folk, turning the world into a giant pub! This Irish influenced sound will assuredly bring up the urge to slam down a cold one while swinging happily along arm in arm to the beat! Formed in 2008 by singer and songwriter Paddy, the untamed unit have built a respective name within the scene due to hard work and extensive touring all over Europe – with more than 400 shows including at the world famous Wacken Open Air and the Sziget Festival. For the new album, they teamed up once again with producer Zoli Baker. The artwork was designed by Jill Colbert, who has also worked with bands like Alestorm, Exodus and Wintersun. 

On a rousing 13 tracks, the Hungarians magically pull one stirring song after another out of their pirate hats, featuring a great variation of instruments like accordion, fiddle, banjo and bagpipe. The Celtic punks sail off on exciting adventures with their opener “Wasteland”, offering a longing duo of mandolin and vocals accompanied by violin injections. The spirit is incited with “Ship Will Sale”: The rousing track hits like a wild wave and invites the listener to join the party, swaying and stomping with them. The full-length pushes forward with “Party like a Pirate”, where they delight their shipmates with an eager party hit, that comes with a sweeping sing-along chorus. “Everybody Get Up” offers another power boost and slowly prepares for the end of the adventure, with its punkier, energetic sound. The last stop of the journey with the Celtic Punks is “Wonderland”. This emotional ballad provides the perfect note on which to end the album. With From Wasteland to Wonderland, PADDY AND THE RATS deliver a seaworthy adventure that fills the listener with addictive energy and simple happiness.
