Wanikiya Record announces with enormous joy the release of the single “Wasted Night” by WILD N’ WASTED!!! Available on the best digital music stores worldwide, as well as via the label’s official store, showcase in Japan and Crash Sound Distribution!

“Wasted Night” encapsulates what is the essence of the band. The typical 80’s style in a modern key. The idea of the song was born to tell a typical night at Wild N’ Wasted, with a text obviously explicit and without holding back the language. The artwork was created by Davide Iuliani and represents the bar of a club (in this case Geronimo’s) with the covers of the previous singles plus the joker, the mascot of the band.

Wild N’ Wasted is an Italian band born in 2017 in Rome. The band was formed by Marco Mancinelli and Yari Pierucci. The initial lineup of the band consisted of Marco on guitar, Yari on bass, Valerio Previdi on drums and Emanuele Razzauti on vocals. In 2018 Valerio leaves the band to move to Milan. In September 2018 the band opens a concert for Thomas Silver (former hardcore superstars). In October 2018 Davide Iuliani on rhythm guitar and Luca Mechelli on drums join the band permanently. In 2019 Wasted joined the Wingstone Records family a collective of musicians. In November of the same year the Italian-Brazilian singer, born in Recife/PE, Thiago De Moraes taking the place of Emanuele Razzauti . During the period of the pandemic, the group does not lose heart and begins work on the EP whose first single will see the light on January 22, 2021, the song is an acoustic ballad entitled “Ayrton” in homage to the pilot, the late Ayrton Senna, to remember the man who was, the champion of the people. The single is available in 2 versions (Portuguese and English). The single passes in several South American web-radios and radios. On September 20, 2021 the first video clip of the band is released, the finished version of the first unreleased song written by the group #Devil Girl” with the collaboration in the video part of Eleonora Travagliati. The following month the co-founder of the band, Marco Mancinelli, leaves the group. He decides to dedicate himself to new musical projects while remaining in good relationships. Renato Orsili (guitarist of Eshuna) takes his place, contributing to the musical and artistic growth of the band. On November 21 the band launches another single complete with lyrics video “You Die”. In terms of sound it is the closest song to the 80’s heavythrash wave.

March 27, 2022 the band releases its first EP titled “Wasted Night”, a collection of the previous singles released with the addition of the Title Track. The entire EP was recorded at the MMI studios in Rome and the mixing and mastering is by Luca Viperini (Conqueror, Anwynn, Bethel). Wild N’ Wasted are ready to play in front of every national and international crowd with their Wild Metal!

Finnish VARJO-ORKESTERI Release New Lyric Video ‘Sydänmusta’ from Debut Album

Finnish progressive rock/metal band VARJO-ORKESTERI released a new lyric video Sydänmusta. The track is taken from their debut album Prima Volta which was released on April 1st 2022 by Inverse Records.

The Band comments the video and album:
“A new lyric video from the Varjo-Orkesteri’s debut album Prima Volta, SYDÄNMUSTA, opens up the bands soundscape in a lighter and more sensitive direction.

“My heart is so black, and in its hiding, the soul will contract.”

Life itself is magical. Such is the debut album Prima Vista by the Varjo-orkesteri. Dark and deep, yet gentle self-reflection about the quality of being when you become you. Or someting else? You’ll find out by placing an apparatus potentiometer to eleven and letting Prima Vista hit a black stamp on your soul, too.”

Varjo-orkesteri is a Finnish-language group flavoured by rock, metal and proge.
The band is the “ready-to-go” missile of the hot Karhula scene, which is always ready to kick the nation with freshest and thickest beats. The band sort of formed by accident when the Fog Light boys (Jarmo Pikka, Pasi Hakuli, Saku Hakuli) were planning to put together a new album based on almost complete instrumental demos. Coincidentally, possible vocal contributions (Markku Pihlaja) was discussed. At first as usual, lyrics were to be written in English. But led by something unconscious, the text began to emerge in finnish. This intuition was definitely worth following.

The album’s demos were therefore largely ready when singing melodies and text began to be written in the demos. At the same time, when the songs were demoed, tracks were already recorded for the album. Recording sessions were built according to the spirit of the times “remotely” so that each party recorded their share in their own studios.
By late autumn 2021, the recordings were ready. Mixing and mastering were agreed with their final form at the beginning of December. The end result surprised the whole band, the album (Prima Volta) became a really fresh-sounding revelation, not least for the native languge in the text.

The members of the varjo-orkesteri are quite familiar at least to the music people of the home area (South Kymenlaakso). The members have a background from bands such asOmnium Gatherum, Total Devastation, Manitou, Kaihoro, Return To Void, Demonic Death Judge etc.

“We wanted a change of pace and something we can get done quickly,” says the band’s lead singer and guitarist, Robert Jon Burrison about the new single, Waiting For Your Man.

“Alex (Pasco, Foo Fighters, Paul McCartney) was a blast to work. It was rough to get everything done so quickly. Waiting For Your Man was recorded in one day. There is something about knowing what needs to get done that pushes us to play better and not overthink things. Andrew had ideas flying in for arrangements at the last minute. Henry had ideas for the solos. Everyone nailed it in the studio.”

Robert Jon & The Wreck come from a highly influenced rock and roll background. With Waiting For Your Man, they wanted to inject a bit more of a rock and roll feel and energy. The new single is very riff based and is a result of the band jamming together in one room. The new song came about naturally, felt familiar, and gave them a feeling of nostalgia.”

“Waiting for Your Man is the simple song about going through the peaks and valleys of any relationship,” says Robert Jon. “Both sides have their issues with one and other, but they want to give each other a chance. Sometimes it is easy to throw away what could have been something great.”

The 2022 UK tour follows the release of the band’s critically acclaimed new studio album Shine A Light On Me Brother. The album features the singles Shine A Light On Me Brother and Everyday that received airplay on UK rock radio including Planet Rock, BBC Radio 2, The Max, Total Rock, MMH Radio, ERB Radio, and Radio Caroline.

Shine a Light on Me Brother is available from www.robertjonandthewreck.com.

The band features Robert Jon Burrison (lead vocals, guitar), Andrew Espantman (drums, b. vocals), Steve Maggiora (keyboards, b. vocals), Henry James (lead guitar, b. vocals), & Warren Murrel (bass, b. vocals).

Robert Jon & The Wreck has been writing songs and releasing albums since the band’s conception in 2011. During this time, this quintet of follicular proficient gentlemen has been busy fine-tuning their sound playing to packed houses across Europe and the United States.

RJTW has received accolades including nominations of “Best Rock” and “Best Blues” and winning the title of “Best Live Band” at the Orange County Music Awards in 2013, to numerous top 10 chart placement on Southern Rock Brazil’s Top 20 Albums to being praised as “Classic and fresh at the same time,” by Rock The Best Music, “Raising the bar for the Southern genre” by Blues Rock Review, and “keeping the history of classic 60’s and 70’s rock alive for newer generations” by blues guitar legend Joe Bonamassa.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS are set to release their upcoming studio album, Pirates, on May 13, 2022 via Napalm Records! Today the band released the second single “Melancholy Angel” – a song that has already proven to be one of the fan favorites, when played live during the ongoing US tour. The single comes together with a stunning official video, including great visual effects and outstanding acting by the band around singer Clémentine Delauney, who has clearly developed further vocally and has both beautiful high tones and deeper more soulful colorings in her vocal repertoire.

The mighty new single “Melancholy Angel” is representative of the new VISIONS OF ATLANTIS sound, who with Pirates, reveal their most honest and intimate album to date. With their latest albums, visionaries VISIONS OF ATLANTIS have without a doubt proven that they are on top of the scene. Now, the band sets sail on an adventurous new journey and exciting chapter, marking a turning point in their discography with the upcoming album, Pirates.

With their eighth full-length, VISIONS OF ATLANTIS deliver their most confident and honest record so far, proving that they have definitely stopped wandering to finally unleash their rebellious side and a free spirit as untamed as the seven seas.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS on Pirates:
“Being a Pirate to us is being fully aware and having our lives in our own hands, living and thinking freely, embracing life as an adventure with all its light and darkness. With the new album we are opening a new era for VISIONS OF ATLANTIS, fully embracing the identity we have been flirting with for several years now – making the music that truly resonates with our souls. We continue our journey taking us through darker waters, heavier storms, where all serves as background for a metaphor about personal growth and spirituality. If Wanderers was more about the bright side of our path, Pirates definitely takes us deeply into shadow work, where we are facing other kinds of monsters along the way!”

Pre-order your copy of VISIONS OF ATLANTIS upcoming album “Pirates” NOW

The album pulls the anchor with the epic opener “Pirates Will Return”, which instantly enchants with its hymnlike chorus and showcases the high-class versatility from the very first second. In the blink of an eye, VISIONS OF ATLANTIS manage to create their very own incomparable universe of symphonic epicness, intense riffing and, above all, the impressive vocal symbiosis of Clémentine Delauney and Michele Guaitoli. Delauney’s bewitching offerings oscillate between clear vocals, powerful belting and operatic techniques, whereas matchless counterpart Guaitoli adds spice with top-notch power metal infusions. Pirates presses ahead with catchy hook lines, like in mighty “Melancholy Angel”, rousing “Clocks”, charging “Wild Elysium” and majestic “Master The Hurricane” – the latter of which will make every symphonic metal enthusiast’s heart pound faster through its perfectly balanced mixture of dramatic choirs, heavy orchestration and dedicated vocals. Pirates reaches the harbor for now with mesmerizing “I Will Be Gone”, building up a dramatic wall of sound accented by harmonizing flutes and bagpipes, delivered by no less than FEUERSCHWANZ virtuoso Ben Metzner, who joins also on “In My World”, “Master the Hurricane” and “Heal The Scars”.
