Germany’s heavy thrashers DAILY INSANITY announce that they will embark on an extensive European headline tour. And this tour promises nothing but evenings full of headbanging and moshpits!

DAILY INSANITY’s Gene about the tour:
”Time is slipping by and we’re not getting any younger. So we’re looking forward to finally hit the road again. Fans can look forward to old school metal at its best with songs from “Conspiracy”, “Chronicles Of War” and we may also release something new to accompany the tour. On a bunch of dates DAILY INSANITY will be teaming up with death thrashers RISE OF KRONOS to play some exclusive co-headlining shows.

Bristol, UK-based band RXPTRS – who blend rock, metal, punk, and hardcore with a seamlessness that is enviable, creating something that is unique that seethes with boundless energy – have announced their forthcoming album Living Without Death’s Permission, out June 24 via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records. The album will come in two vinyl variants. The EU/UK Exclusive is White/Black Marble while the US Exclusive is Transparent Pink.

Today, RXPTRS, who were tipped by Alternative Press as one of 20 UK bands you need to know, have dropped the official video for “Rock Bottom (Is a Stepping Stone).” Watch it here:

“Money and religion don’t compute,” says singer Simon Roach, pulling back the curtain on the song’s genesis. “I’ve always found it farcical when those two worlds collide. During the pandemic, I saw a millionaire televangelist asking for money – from people poorer than himself – so he could cure them of COVID. He was basically lying to their faces. I saw red and wrote this song.“

Roach continues, “We knew we had to make this video and portray what this man was doing, in our own way. I think this situation and these things are some of lowest, darkest forms of our nature. We wanted to show the exploitation. As we developed the idea, it got darker and more angry. So we had to take a step back, and focus on the funnier side of it. It truly is farcical so it deserves a parody.“

MACHINE HEAD Announce Colossal 10th Album ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ Out August 26th

Bay Area metal titans MACHINE HEAD has announced the details of their forthcoming tenth album, the immense and unapologetic, ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ coming August 26th, 2022 (via Nuclear Blast x Imperium Recordings). The debut of the first video from the album, the ferocious “CHØKE ØN THE ASHES ØF YØUR HATE” can be viewed below.

‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ is a 13 track concept album set in a decimated futuristic wasteland where the sky is stained crimson red. The crux of the story is based on 2 main characters:

Character #1 Ares: (pronounced Aries), our main, who loses the love of his life (Amethyst) and goes on a murderous rampage against the vile sect responsible for her murder.

Character #2 Eros: (pronounced Arrows) the perpetrator, who loses his mother to a drug overdose and becomes radicalized in the aftermath. Eros goes off the deep end manifesting his own killing spree.

The lyrics detail how their lives intertwine.

MACHINE HEAD founder Robb Flynn comments:
“Thanks to my 2 teenage boys my family has become obsessed with this awesome Japanese anime series called “Attack On Titan.” The album’s concept was loosely inspired by the series in the sense that in the storyline, there is no “good” or “bad” guy, both characters believe they’re doing the right thing as it applies to their being, but make no mistake, both are committing acts of pure atrocity and evil. The opening track “SLAUGHTER THE MARTYR” is basically our character #1’s origin story.”

The colossal concept comes with a list of equally colossal packaging for various physical formats including 16 different worldwide vinyl formats, deluxe vinyl box set (with bonus tracks), CDs (both old-school longbox and jewel box options), multi-color cassettes, and a limited-edition Digipak with bonus tracks.

CDs, Digipak, cassettes, and all digital formats will be available on Aug 26th, with all vinyl formats arriving on Nov 25th.

Legendary Swedish black metal formation MÖRK GRYNING is pleased to announce their first ever United States tour, which has been rescheduled from April 2020! The long-awaited trek will kick off on April 28 in Brooklyn, NY and will tour the East Coast until the grand finale on May 9 in Philadelphia, PA. The full run of dates and ticket links are below!

After two years of forced hiatus, Metalitalia.com, Vertigo and Cerberus Booking are pleased to look to the future with optimism and announce the full line-up for the Metalitalia.com Festival 2022! The event, scheduled for mid-September, this time will gather the hardest, most infernal and darkest metal around, for two days of extreme music set to take place at the Live Music Club in Trezzo Sull’Adda (Milan, Italy).

Day 1 – Saturday 17th September 2022
Alongside SODOM, CORONER, IN.SI.DIA and HYADES, we are proud to announce the BULLDOZER reunion concert! The band will play an Italian exclusive set for Metalitalia.com Festival: a special show called “40 Years Of Wrath” dedicated to early pivotal releases such as “The Day Of Wrath”, “The Final Separation” and the “Fallen Angel” EP!
Among the new confirmations for the first day, we also welcome ONSLAUGHT: the legendary English thrash metal band will storm the festival with a set full of classics as well as new songs from the acclaimed new album “Generation Antichrist”.
Before them, EXTREMA will take the stage with another exclusive concert focused on their classic album “The Positive Pressure … of Injustice”. Tommy Massara’s band will perform the entire album, which is often considered the masterpiece of the Milanese band.
The bill of this day is completed by NATIONAL SUICIDE, a true force of the Italian thrash metal scene.

Day 2 – Sunday 18 September 2022
The second day will be a total extreme metal onslaught: alongside WATAIN, ABBATH, ASPHYX, TRIBULATION and BØLZER we are pleased to reconfirm one of the most appreciated and discussed acts of the last decade: BATUSHKA. The Polish black metal band, which will perform at the festival with all its suggestive scenography, will be the incarnation led by guitarist and composer Krzysztof “Derph” Drabikowski, recognized by fans as the true architect of the success achieved by the group thanks to the beautiful debut album “Litourgiya” and the more than worthy successor “Панихида”.
We are also extremely happy to welcome back NECROPHOBIC! The long running Swedish band returns to Italy after many years with a show that will see them perform songs taken from the latest wonderful works “Mark of the Necrogram” and “Dawn of the Damned” for the first time in our country.
The Lombard death metallers BLASPHEMER will have the honor of opening this dark day for extreme metal: expect many songs from their latest masterpiece “The Sixth Hour”.

GENUS ORDINIS DEI Release Music Video + Single ‘The Entropic Queen’

The Entropic Queen is the new music video and single from Italian symphonic death metal masters, GENUS ORDINIS DEI. The single was just released worldwide a couple of days ago, and it is the latest since the release of their critically acclaimed full-length album and metal music video series Glare of Deliverance.

The Entropic Queen was produced by Tommy Monticelli at Sonitus Studio during the after-effects of the band’s infection with the Covid-19 virus. The song tells a story about the pandemic, but from the perspective of the virus which is represented as an entropic queen who (invaded by the continuous expansion of man) reacts and responds to the attack, with her army of spike-carrying soldiers. The whole song is a great allegory that narrates the attack on the cell by the virus as if it were the assault of a castle. The single features cover art by Tom Roberts.
