Czech ET MORIEMUR Announce New Japanese-Themed Album “Tamashii No Yama”

Czech doom metal band ET MORIEMUR set new standards for themselves with their previous Greek-themed album ‘Epigrammata’ which borrowed elements of death and black metal and flawlessly integrated them in their unique brand of atmospheric doom metal. This time they’re exploring Japanese themes and have frankly outdone themselves. It’s rare to come across bands that are constantly reinventing themselves without losing their core sound and Et Moriemur are doing just that and taking the sound ahead in ways previously unimagined.

An album to be heard from start to finish, it makes you experience various moods and sounds, having employed the services of several musicians in addition to their own, playing traditional instruments such as shakuhachi and others like cello, harp, violin and more. For the next quarter of an hour, you’re transported to a different land, imagining a different era, and you remain mesmerized by the seamlessly transitioning music with plenty of variations and fascinating new elements. The blend of genres is immaculate and none of it feels even remotely forced or out of place. Truly, Et Moriemur may have created a new sound which they’ve only perfected over here. They remain in a league of their own, in competition with only themselves.

XHAMAIN Release New Lyric Video for ‘Eterna Soedade’

“Eterna Soedade” is the second song from “Na alma” that XHAMAIN have chosen for a new impressive video, following the acclaimed release of “Soño de Inverno” a few months ago.

For this work, the band has hired the American video artist Joe Karamanski, from Chicago, who has masterfully mixed some images of the vocalist Mariah Fosado with outstanding visual effects and the Galician lyrics of the song, creating an original and eye-catching result.

Through the dark and thrilling scenes of a captive person locked in an old chamber, the song shows the duel between defiant growls and powerful clean vocals that sing about loneliness and the unstoppable march of time.

“Na alma” has been recorded and mixed at Kastell von Pahlomen Studios (Galicia) by Rubén Alonso and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios (Sweden).

THE SAME RIVER Sign with Sliptrick Records, Debut Album Coming in 2022

Heavy rockers THE SAME RIVER have signed a deal with Sliptrick Records.

The Same River is a rock band from Athens, Greece founded by Diamond Pr (Cyanna Mercury) and Dimitris Georgopoulos (Cyanna Mercury, Deaf Radio) in August of 2019. After two months, the band was completed by Fivos Katsifloros (One Man Drop) and Theodore Ntilgeris (The Great Black Shark). From the very first day The Same River focused on writing songs that can deliver their vision of this world; a lust for life and passion for making music.

In short the band is “four guys creating music, opposing the cruelty of this world with riffs and melodies. The Same River never step twice in the waters of our fears and they’re trying to create something soulful without looking back.”

After lots of sweat and tears, the groups four song debut was complete. An EP, recorded and mixed live, just to keep it’s true and raw feeling. Through the mist of the pandemic, Live At The Blackbox introduced The Same River to the world in March of 2020. Despite the difficulties and the lack of live performances, the reviews were overwhelming and gave them the strength and inspiration to complete their first full length album, Weight Of The World, set for release via Sliptrick Records in 2022.

KEISER Unleash New  Single ‘Sole Victor’

Black metal band KEISER will release their sophomore single, “Sole Victor”, on January 21th 2022 via Non Serviam Records.

KEISER comment about the single.

“SOLE VICTOR” is the latest assault from Norway’s Keiser. It’s an old school black metal banger about a warrior emerging victorious from battle … alone, with slain bodies all around. Sole Victor is as chilling and unrelenting as it is melancholic and beautiful. All in all a great track to enjoy this winter.”

Check out the single teaser below.

The EP will be available as digital HERE: https://non-serviam-records.bandcamp.com/album/sole-victor

“Keiser was formed by drummer Geir Johansen and guitarist/vocalist Mikael Torseth in 2015 with the aim of making a unique brand of extreme metal together. This quickly resulted in the raw and primitive Ascension of Ghouls EP in 2016. The urge to do something bigger and more epic emerged soon after, and they started working on their debut album.

The Succubus was recorded in a week and was mixed and mastered by Johansen himself, and the band released The Succubus themselves in 2017 in true DIY fashion. This was a turning point for the band, as Johansen and Torseth were joined by guitarist William Aamodt and bassist Oddbjørn Haugen in the months before The Succubus was released. This enabled the band to start playing live and they soon built a small, but loyal following in the middle region of Norway.

Later in 2017, Haugen and the band parted ways and the band were joined by current bassist Jon Einar Hektoen. In late 2018, the band started to write and record a second album, their first album as a four-piece band. Instead of doing it as quickly and effectively as with The Succubus, the band decided to spend more time writing, recording and mixing to get the best result possible.

Geir Marvin Johansen: Drums, Vocals
William Aamodt:  Guitars
Mikael Torseth: Guitars, Vocals
Jon Einar Hektoen: Bass
