Punk Legends DAYGLO ABORTIONS Release ‘Sociopath’ Track

Canadian Punk Legends DAYGLO ABORTIONS have released their next single – “Sociopath” from their upcoming album “Hate Speech” and premiere via The Ripple Effect.  the track can be heard here.

Murray adds – “So…. This is the first song on side 2 of the new album Hate Speech. I don’t know if anyone noticed this but, we have built a system that rewards sociopathic behaviour and crushes people for being honest, free thinking individuals. In fact it seems to be designed so that all the positions of leadership are filled by sociopaths. Then just to make it real warm and loving, the sociopaths hire jock bullies to push us all around. Surely we can come up with something better than this.”

This album is dedicated to the people that helped us make it. Scott Bennet and Scott Henderson, for essentially talking me into making it, then offering their studio (the lap of luxury) so we could do the pre-praductlon Work while in the middle of Covid-19 induced lock-downs. Then Rob lawless, and Terry Paholek, for allowing us io Invade their studio (The physics lab) in Edmonton Alberta, and for the brilliant work the did making it sound so good. Next is Matt Jak and Sherry Benson, and family, for inviting us into their home and putting us up in Edmonton. And finally Tyson Cale Boyd and the people at The Starlight for putting on the show that paid our travel expanses. Well why the fuck stop there, The Edmonton Jak’s for always rocking out with us, and all of you for supporting through the years. Cheers to all of you.

Dayglo Abortions are:
Murray (The cretin) Acton – guitar, lead vocs.
Matt Fiorito – guitar, backup vocals.
Blind Marc – Drums. Mike Jak – guitar.
Scott Henderson – bass guitar
Rob Lawless – Drums on smart food
Matt Jak & Carmen Jak – backup vocals.
Terry Paholek – fact checking & debunking.

Recorded at the Physics Lab in Edmonton AB.
Recorded by Rob Lawless and Terry Paholek mixed by Terry Paholek and Rob lawless, mastered by Terry Paholek, Produced by The Dayglo Abortions and Rob Lawless.

SILVERLANE Announce Comeback And Share New Song ‘Für Immer und Ewig’ (Feat. Patty Gurdy) From Upcoming Album

Twelve years since their latest output, Above The Others (2010, Drakkar Entertainment), Franconia’s powerful metal and hard rock act SILVERLANE has announced their much awaited return to the heavy music scene! To celebrate their comeback in glorious style, the band has announced the release of their brand new album, Inside Internal Infinity, due out on January 28, 2022 via Drakkar.

The roots of SILVERLANE go back to 1995, when the siblings Chris, Dodo and Simon founded the band in their parents’ garage. After releasing two albums on Drakkar Entertainment and touring in support of Lordi and Doro Pesch, it became quiet around them. Children were born, houses were built, marriages were made and divorced again – but finally, SILVERLANE are back! More mature, stronger and better than ever, they shine in metallic-modern splendour without forgetting their roots. The new frontman Tom Klossek has a big share in this. “Actually, I had already given up on finding a suitable band and didn’t have the energy to start all over again. I’d had to do that too many times in my life, but when I listened to the songs for a stand-in gig at Rock Harz, I immediately noticed the love of detail and the vibes that were created. After the gig I immediately asked the band if we didn’t want to start again TOGETHER. SILVERLANE 2.0 so to speak … “ says the Frankfurt native.

Simon Michael adds: “Tom is the best singer I have ever recorded”. And that will mean something, as he is not only the mastermind behind SILVERLANE, but also a busy producer in the metal field and on top of that drummer in Subway To Sally for almost 15 years. Together with his brother Chris, Uli Holzermer (Lead Guitar), bassist Daniel Saffer and their new drummer Basti Kirchdörfer and Tom Klossek on vocals, SILVERLANE present themselves with a new, strong sound symbiosis rarely seen in metal, but one can be sure, they are ready to take off again!

After the previously released, first single ‘I Universe’, today SILVERLANE have shared a brand new video for the haunting yet powerful track ‘Für Immer und Ewig’, featuring guest vocalist Patty Gurdy! Listen to the song and watch the new clip right here:

„Für Immer und Ewig“ is the last song that we wrote for the album, with which we felt like experimenting without losing the “silver thread”, says guitarist and founder Chris. “During the recordings we had the idea to do it as a duet. Patty is a good friend of the band and she agreed and gave the song its beautiful shine.”

Inside Internal Infinity was produced by Simon Michael at Great Hall Music Ebermannstad, and will be coming out as a Digipak (including fanposter) on January 28, 2022 via Drakkar Entertainment. The album pre-sale is now available at THIS LOCATION!

Album Tracklist:
01 – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
02 – I Universe
03 – Blessed
04 – Hero Inn Sunset Club
05 – Leviathan Rising
06 – Medusa
07 – Soul Of Tears
08 – Scorched Earth
09 – Für Immer Und Ewig (feat. Patty Gurdy)
10 – Life To Die For

Coinciding with their US tour alongside Fotocrime, FOOL’S GHOST have released a cover of Nirvana’s Something In The Way. Comprised of both Nick Thieneman (Young Widows, Breather Resist) and Amber Thieneman (Liberation Prophecy, Sandpaper Dolls), FOOL’S GHOST place their signature sound of disquieting doom and dark folk on their rendition of one of Nirvana’s most revered songs.

Accompanying the single’s release on Bandcamp, the duo have also shared a music video for the track. Directed by Nick Thieneman himself, the footage is a tense and atmospheric visual shot in stark black and white.

Listen to Something In The Way via Bandcamp.
Something In The Way will be available on all streaming platforms on December 10.

Speaking on the release, Nick Thieneman comments: “Nirvana led me towards a lot of life changing/affirming music, which was all due to the explosion and accessibility of Nevermind. It was an absolute pleasure to record our take on Something in the Way as a sort of tribute to the recent 30th anniversary.”

FOOL’S GHOST are currently on tour alongside Fotocrime, marking some of their first shows since the release of their well received 2020 debut album Dark Woven Light, with plans for further recorded materials to be revealed in 2022.
