Dragged Under have dropped their new single, ‘Rebel Son Rise!’ – a call to action for the future generations. Check out the video HERE.

‘Rebel Son Rise!’ packs an inspiring message to the children of the world in a frenetic three minutes. Talking about the song, singer Tony Cappocchi says, “Since we wrote the last record, I’ve become a father to two amazing kids. This song is a message about how cruel the world can be, and it’s a plea for them to find their own path and always put their convictions and truth ahead of what society wants them to be—whether that relates to the social status quo, politics, or religion. I just want them to be rebels and realise that what’s popular or approved by their peers isn’t always what’s right.  It’s perfectly acceptable to be the one swimming against the current.”

‘Rebel Son Rise!’ follows their previous single ‘AlgoRHYTHM’, a vitriolic swipe at algorithm surfers. This adds to a catalogue that has already clocked up an impressive 100m streams across 2022’s Upright Animals and their 2020 debut album The World Is In Your Way, and the band are fizzing to get back into action.

Their frenzied live shows have seen them throw down the gauntlet during festival sets at Louder Than Life (US), Aftershock (US), Slam Dunk (UK), Download (UK), 2000Trees (UK), Hellfest (France) and Full Force (Germany). This energy has seen them tour with Bless The Fall, Beartooth, Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, The Used, 10 Years, From Ashes to New, The Word Alive, The Ghost Inside and Landmvrks along with several headline runs across North America and Europe.

For a musician, there’s one thing more empowering than being part of a newly formed band, and that is reforming a popular, powerhouse act after thinking you’d never play together again. That’s why Dragged Under vocalist Tony Cappocchi, rhythm guitarist Sean Rosario, and drummer Dylan Roy are so excited about the band’s future. Cappocchi and Rosario with the fellow original band members, Ryan “Fluff” Bruce (guitar) and Hans Hessburg (bass), three years after both quit unexpectedly and acrimoniously, leaving the future of Dragged Under at best uncertain.

“Our band was never better than it was with our core members — me, Sean, Hans, and Fluff,” says Cappocchi. “Those dudes have been as committed to Dragged Under and as stoked about it as they were when they first joined. Knowing that only made us want to be bigger than ever.”

Be on board or be dragged under.

ERDVE Premiere Crushing New Album “Epigrama”

Since emerging from Lithuania in 2016, Erdve have experimented with heavy music’s imposing framework. The expiermental metallic hardcore band’s debut established a heavy foundation, while their follow-up chiseled away with dramatic intensity. Now, they are pushing their vision to more crushing extremes on their new album Epigrama.

“The band have judged each element perfectly to create a monument of extreme metal that reaches for the beyond”, Distorted Sound writes in an early 8/10 review of Epigrama.

Epigrama was released yesterday, May 29, 2026 on Season of Mist and you can hear all eight devastating tracks by listening to the full album stream on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

Erdve have earned a reputation for unconventional experiments. The band have performed in Vilnius’ St. John’s Church and the historic Lukiškės Prison. Metal Injection hailed their debut Vaitojimas as an ”uncompromising patchwork of hardcore punk and sludge metal”. In reviewing follow-up Savigaila, Nine Circles marveled at how “all that harshness that is at once apparent settles out and mellows into something that is quite beautiful and begs repeated listens”.

Now, with Epigrama, Erdve have redefined their hardened sludgy metallic experiment into their most conceptually focused and structurally deliberate album. The band confront grief, guilt and stagnation as structural forces rather than passing emotions. Every decision, or absence of decision, is treated as moral debt. From the suffocating grief of lead single “Nyra”, the all-consuming descent of “Ydos” to the madness of the title track and the irreversible acceptance of closer “Svertas,” the record unfolds as a journey from doubt to clarity through collapse. A moment isn’t captured. A process is endured.

Tracklist:

  1. Epigrama (04:32)
  2. Nyra (05:32)
  3. Skepsis (05:07)
  4. Ydos (05:34)
  5. Trukmė (06:40)
  6. Svertas (05:39)
  7. Raukšlės (04:22)
  8. Skleistis (05:16)
    Full runtime: 42:48

ERDVE is a metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania, experimenting with extreme music since 2016.

In 2017, the band signed a record contract with SEASON OF MIST records, who later released their debut album VAITOJIMAS (translated as: Moaning). The album has set a strong foundation for the band to keep pushing the limits of creativity within the framework of heavy, yet atmospheric metal iterations.

Their second album SAVIGAILA (translated as: Self-loathing) was released by Season of Mist in 2021, and has presented a different and more abrasive approach towards composing and storytelling, focusing on the intensity, unpredictability and drama.

The band is known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that intuitively seem incoherent to the type of music being played or are not considered to be regular venues. First such show took place in the church of St. John’s 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.

After the second album, the band took some time to rediscover their relationship with music and identified the elements that would convey their future vision in the most truthful way. This idea is followed by their 2026 release – EPIGRAMA, that delivers a familiar, yet a fundamentally different approach towards experimenting within the confines of heavy music and reflective storytelling. The goal was to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact. This album marks a new beginning for ERDVE, in the process of rediscovery, experimentation and raw expression.

Written last year, alongside the band’s covers EP Double Vision, Carrie Chains shows Castle at new heights of constructing their trademark serpentine riffs into powerful anthemic hooks while the whiskey throated vocals of powerhouse singer Liz Blackwell fill every spooky nook and cranny to intoxicating effect.

Following more then a year of touring behind the bands previous album Evil Remains, the band found themselves tackling a long talked about project to unwind… an all-covers EP. While arranging and demoing the EP’s wide-ranging material, guitarist Mat Davis found inspiration for Carrie Chains coming fast and furious;

“It was like exercising a muscle, having new perspectives…. reaching back into the past and re-imagining the future – we tapped back into the early days of Castle’s sound and inspiration and came out with a record sounding somewhere between In Witch Order and Blacklands.“

Following the energy of the new songs through the recording process, Castle recorded live in the studio for the first time, with the band’s recording drummer Mike Cotton laying down a thunderous precision that harkens back to 80’s era Black Sabbath. Davis continues:

“We kept the sound and feel live and raw all the way through the mastering process, the energy was key to songs and telling the story of the album.“

Singer/bassist Liz Blackwell adds;

“We spent so many years on the road in the early days of Castle, we’d riff on song ideas through night drives and backstage hangs… a lot of the song ideas like ‘Truckgrinder’, ‘Carry Chains’ and ‘Goat Vision’ all originated back then and have the classic theme of the underdog rising up against all odds, including the albums main character, Carrie Chains – it’s a great inspiration in these times“.

Track-list:
1. Fooled Again
2. 3 Knocks
3. Carry Chains
4. Evil Nun
5. Truckgrinder
6. Orb Weaver
7. Goat Vision
8. Burn The Messenger

AXTY Unleash New Single + Official Music Video ‘Nothing But Pain’

Following a slew of prestigious tours opening for genre greats like The Browning, Born of Osiris, Lacuna Coil, and more, AXTY have been fast rising in the modern metalcore scene, proving their command of wicked breakdowns and inescapable melody.

Today, they have unleashed the hook laden banger of a single “nothing but pain”. Cut from their forthcoming album, and Napalm Records debut, The Pain Made Me Who I Am, out August 21, 2026 via Napalm Records, AXTY hit listeners with a swelling flurry of infectious hooks juxtaposed against earth shattering grooves harkening to the days of nu with a modern deathcore menace.

Frontman Felipe Hervoso on “nothing but pain”:
“‘nothing but pain’” is a raw, zero-filtering look at what it means to completely lose hope and struggle for survival. It leans hard into the darkest aspects of mental anguish, capturing the suffocating feeling of being dragged under by your own thoughts. It is a straightforward, uncompromising track built for anyone who appreciates music with real, messy, and authentic human emotion.”

With their new album, AXTY explores universal lyrical themes of self-evolution through harnessing pain and resilience born from adversity, transforming negative experiences into fuel for growth. Moments of barbarism and serenity all tied together with infectious grooves, pristine production, and an unwavering dedication to brutality.  Throughout its 12 tracks, The Pain Made Me Who I Am proves AXTY as a visionary force to watch in the ever-expanding modern metalcore scene – inarguably poised for star status as they climb the ranks.

AXTY about The Pain Made Me Who I Am:
“The Pain Made Me Who I Am revolves around human emotions, particularly the darker, more difficult ones. However, rather than dwelling on suffering, we focused on the role these emotions play in personal growth and self-evolution. Resilience born from adversity, the idea that growth and self-discovery are deeply rooted in struggle, we wanted to explore how negative experiences, rather than defining us in a limiting way, become the very foundation of who we are.”

Get Your Copy Of The Pain Made Me Who I Am NOW

The Pain Made Me Who I Am delivers the goods from note one as earth-shattering intro track “pain made me” pulls out all of the stops – crashing in with dense down-tuned guitar chugs beneath hip-hop charged samples. Anthemic “who I am” showcases the band’s seamless, genre-pushing blend with intense polyrhythmic deathcore passages and soaring metalcore melodies, while tracks like “all I love” incite pure metallic violence with the band’s erratic trademark guitar acrobatics, hypnotic drum patterns and addictive vocals – both crushing and clean – showcasing the broad talents of frontman Felipe Hervoso, drummer Gabriel Vacari and guitarist Jonathas Peschiera. Particularly, Hervoso’ keen ability to dramatically tilt his vocal approach from crooning cleans to virtually superhuman screams, growls and squeals will have his name on the lips of deathcore vocal enthusiasts in no time. Songs like “nothing but pain” inject heavy doses of the futuristic metalcore fusion AXTY has become lauded for, while album standouts like first single/album closer “end this” weave alternative and even nu-metal flavor into the album’s addictive mix.

The Pain Made Me Who I Am tracklisting:

  1. pain made me
  2. who I am
  3. dismay
  4. selfish
  5. everything is beautiful

IRON MAIDEN Legend PAUL DI’ANNO Meets ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 29, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Paul Di’Anno. Leave a comment

The life and career of pioneering heavy metal frontman Paul Di’Anno, the powerhouse voice heard on Iron Maiden’s early albums, will be celebrated in the forthcoming documentary, Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer, to be released by Cleopatra Entertainment this summer.

Now, to coincide with the movie’s theatrical release, Cleopatra announce the June 26 release of a corresponding live CD, recorded in Zagreb, Croatia on May 21, 2022 – a little over two years before Di’Anno’s death.  And today, the first single from the album drops – a magnificent performance of Iron Maiden’s 1980 debut album favorite “Phantom Of The Opera.”

A “searing epic,” wrote UK journalist Geoff Barton at the time; and it remains so.

SINGLE: https://orcd.co/pauldianno_phantomeoftheopera2022

Like the movie, the CD Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer serves up a strikingly raw and intimate show, a testament not only to Di’Anno’s refusal to allow his long-term health problems and disabilities (he had been confined to a wheelchair since the mid-2010s) to hold him back, but also to the sheer devotion with which his fans still regarded him.

Indeed, the fans are as much a part of the movie as Di’Anno, as it tells how two loyal supporters, having encountered Di’Anno at the lowest point of his life, set out to restore his health and relaunch his career.  It was their crowdfunding campaign that led to D’Ianno relocating to Croatia, where – through the help of those fans and doctors – he made a massive turnaround, climaxing in a heroic and drama-filled return to the stage. All of this is captured in Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer, which Orshoski began shooting in 2017.

“For years there wasn’t much to capture,” says Orshoski, whose credits include Lemmy, a study of the Motörhead frontman, and The Damned: Don’t You Wish That We Were Dead. “Paul was waiting for surgeries that doctors in the U.K. would not green-light. He was in an incredibly dark place. But once he got to Croatia, fans and doctors gave him the hope he was desperately searching for. It was beautiful to witness. I wanted to make a film that was unlike any rock doc you’ve ever seen. And in the end, I think we got there.”

One of icons of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s, London-born Di’Anno helped launch Iron Maiden around the world, appearing on two of the most foundational metal albums ever released: Iron Maiden’s 1980 self-titled debut and the celebrated follow-up, Killers, released in 1981. In one of the most epic sagas in metal history, Di’Anno left Maiden in 1981 and was replaced by Bruce Dickinson, leaving metal fans around the world to debate which line-up and which singer was/is better. It’s a debate that continues to this day, almost 50 years later.

Orshoski finished work on the film (which was shot in England, Croatia, Brazil and the United States) shortly before Di’Anno’s death at 66 in October 2023. Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer has been screening at European film festivals and will be released worldwide on both streaming services and on Home Entertainment DVD and BLU RAY formats.
