Russian Prog Metal Risingstars EXISTENTIA have revealed a ‘Making of’ video for their recently released new single and official video ‘Revolution Against Evolution‘.

The band stated on ‘Revolution Against Evolution’:
“This single is important to us because it’s a part of our souls and perception of the world!”

EXISTENTIA’s sound combines heavy metal guitar riffs, evolving melodies and themes, coupled with sensual female vocals.

After the release of their debut album “Planet in the Universe” in May 2021, band released their new single ‘Revolution Against Evolution’ on November 26, 2021. This new composition combines the reflection of feelings and emotions of several world events at once! The beginning of the protests and, in fact, the civil revolution in the USA, after the murder of African American police on the streets of Minneapolis, which led to a series of episodes full of brutality and irreversible despair of thousands of people. Along with a global scientific event – the first voyage of a civilian crew in space, which gave rise to the newest stage in the development of mankind.

The revolution is what unites these two, at first glance, polar events. The revolution is what permeates the band’s new single. The spirit of protest coupled with hope, rebellion coupled with the desire to live and create!

‘Revolution Against Evolution’ in many ways became revolutionary for EXISTENTIA. Different from the previous events, the lyrics of the song, more progressive arrangements, new sound of instruments and the whole mix, more soulful vocal turns, imbued with the inspiration of St. Petersburg, where a new historical event happened for Russia – all this is a new step that opens the next stage for Existentia.

EXISTENTIA are
• Anton Mityugin – composer, bass guitarist, backing vocalist;
• Aleksandr Sidelin – the author of music and lyrics, also in his power guitar and backing vocals;
• Miroslava Mirova is responsible for keyboards;
• Anton Zaitsev – drums;
• And Maya Gitsina, whose sensual vocals permeate all the compositions of the team.

HYPOCRISY’s “Worship” Reached New Heights as First Metal Album in Space

On November 26th, the newest addition to the HYPOCRISY catalog, WORSHIP, was released via Nuclear Blast Records. That evening, the band presented their fans with a special listening session that featured a video of vinyl being sent up to the stratosphere.

The journey was completed on a bespoke launch vehicle that carried and supported the record through the atmosphere. The craft was lifted by a large hydrogen-filled balloon reaching a maximum altitude of over 120,000 feet/36.57 km above the Earth. It fell back down to Earth reaching speeds over 200mph until it re-entered the troposphere (where we all live) where the onboard parachute slowed the craft to a gentle walking pace by the time it touched down.

Watch the full video of this historical launch here:

Recently, the band released the music video for the title track “Worship”. Watch the video which was drawn and animated by Costin Chioreanu and includes performance footage shot and edited by Tommy Jones, here: https://youtu.be/-zo9NBVpN_g

Order and listen to Worship here: https://www.hypocrisyband.com/worship

It has been 8 long years since the last record, and HYPOCRISY fans can feel the itch. WORSHIP is 11 tracks of precise, ferocious musicianship. Commonly inspired by the fusion of the modern and the ancient, HYPOCRISY has once more found a way to combine innovative ideas with classic sound in order to deliver something metalheads can enjoyably consume with awe and brutal vigor. As usual, all recording and mixing took place at Tägtgren’s Abyss Studio AB in Sweden while mastering was completed by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers Audio Mastering. Designed by artist Blake Armstrong  (KATAKLYSM, IN FLAMES, CARNIFEX, etc.), WORSHIP’s artwork speaks to the history of the relationship between humanity and extraterrestrials.

Less than a month ago, rising symphonic metal stars AD INFINITUM graced the scene with their newest album, Chapter II – Legacy. The 12-track full-length charted successfully in Germany and Switzerland, in addition to entering at #22 on the US Top New Artist Albums chart, and with its music videos has far exceeded 1 million views on YouTube so far – showcasing the fans’ enthusiasm for the band’s melting pot of influences. But still, AD INFINITUM are not resting on their praise and deliver another breathtaking music video for the song “Inferno”, keeping their fans pumped for even more to come!

“Inferno” starts its journey with a passionate introduction guided by the stunning voice of vocalist Melissa Bonny. Accompanied by a bittersweet amalgamation of piano, violins and echoing choirs, “Inferno” ignites a firestorm of howling riffs, sharply flinching chords and awe-inspiring solos, accented by Victorian harmonies. Visually, AD INFINITUM once again operate at the highest level and promise pure musical entertainment amid amazing scenic images!

AD INFINITUM on the new single:
“One month since the release of Chapter II – Legacy and the positive feedbacks received went straight to our heart. We decided to keep the party going a little longer with one more video featuring one of the band’s favorite tracks on this second album.”

Check out the stunning music video for “Inferno” HERE:

Chapter II – Legacy once again showcases the indispensable creativity of AD INFINITUM – featuring twelve complex, marvelous tracks highlighting their sonic development and undeniable symphonic strength. Such talent can be witnessed with opener “Reinvented”, lurking with lovely piano tunes and erupting in intense riffage in the blink of an eye. Right away, the music reflects the extremely multifaceted voice of Melissa Bonny – ranging from crystal clear vocals to impressively powerful screams and menacing growls. Hailing from hell, hard-hitting “Afterlife” features the vocal power of Nils Molin (Amaranthe, Dynazty), merging in perfect harmony with Melissa’s incredibly haunting delivery. Songs like “Your Enemy” and cinematic grand finale “Lullaby” leave no scope for weakness and unveil the heaviest side of AD INFINITUM to date. This grasping hymn is far from lulling you to sleep, as the eclectically versatile sonic world of AD INFINITUM immediately induces you to listen to Chapter II – Legacy again, right from the beginning!

AD INFINITUM add:
“Chapter II – Legacy holds a very special place in our heart. It represents months and months of hard work of four bandmates, for a result that we are proud to call “self-produced”. For this record, we decided to work without the influence of an external producer during the songwriting process and to team up with Elias Holmlid for the beautiful and epic orchestrations and of course with Jacob Hansen who recorded [vocals], mixed, mastered and participated to the post production. A younger and heavier sound that defines AD INFINITUM like never before.”

Progressive rock legend CYNIC’s long-awaited new album, ‘Ascension Codes,’ is out TODAY! Cynic’s Ascension Codes is a remarkably far-reaching work, and if nothing else, a clear indication that they have landed in a place of mastery. The album, paradoxically, acts as both swan song and rebirth.

‘Ascension Codes’ can be ordered at the Season of Mist E-Shop, the CYNIC Bandcamp, and official CYNIC shop. The album can be streamed/downloaded HERE.

Recording Lineup:
Paul Masvidal – Guitars, Vocals, Lyrics

Masvidal recently shared a touching tribute to late bassist Sean Malone, who died on December 7, 2020. To commemorate Malone’s legacy, CYNIC has released a never-before-heard recorded performance of the song “Integral,” in which Malone performs fretless bass.  “Integral” was originally released as a solo guitar and vocal track on Cynic’s ‘Re-Traced’ EP. The emotional tribute can be found at THIS LOCATION.

As an act of support, CYNIC is inviting fans to donate as you wish for the “Integral” song download, which comes with a guitar/bass transcription of the song and an instrumental (no bass mix) to play along with. 50 percent of proceeds will be shared with suicide prevention organizations: To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) and The Trevor Project. The remaining will go towards funding a documentary about the lives and artistry of Sean Malone and Sean Reinert.

KLUBBER LANG Release New Single ‘This Place’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on November 29, 2021

Dublin noise merchants KLUBBER LANG return with their new single ‘This Place’, sometimes unhinged, this is a track which swells and explodes, a pounding rhythm section provides a sturdy bed for Tallon’s inventive guitar lines which build into a frantic, stabbing riff. Throw Ciaran McGoldrick, a vocalist who could be described as a true wildcard; a unique vocalist who often grunts, snarls and yelps his abstract, yet unnerving lyrics and the combination deliver another compelling strain of noise rock.

This Place’ is available initially as a digital download on bandcamp + a general release on all streaming platforms in Dec.Stream/buy earlier singles here: https://klubberlang.bandcamp.com/

‘This Place’ is the band’s third release since teaming up with Irish independent label ‘Forever in Financial Arrears’ (FIFA Records) and is the perfect follow up to their previous releases on FIFA ‘Sleep Well’ and ‘I Will Not Wait’ .With both singles not only gaining substantial airplay both in Ireland and further afield but which also garnered many admirers for the accompanying visuals and fully justifies why there is a real level of expectation about the Dublin heavy hitters.

As we come out of lockdown, Klubber Lang will also become active as a live entity and are confirmed to support Kerbdog at Dublin’s Whelan’s next May with more dates to be announced.

Klubber Lang formed in 2020 and might be a new name to some, but the band’s pedigree is note-worthy. They were formed by Revelino guitarist Ciaran Tallon, Ciaran McGoldrick on vocals and bass, formerly of (sic), ex-Mexican Pets drummer Fin O’Leary and Ronan McHugh the band’s keyboard player is also the man at the controls for mixing and production.
