SOULS OF DIOTIMA Unveil Official Video for ‘The Princess of Navarra’

Italian female fronted metal band SOULS OF DIOTIMA unveils the official video for “The Princess of Navarra”. The song is taken from their 4th studio album “Janas”, released early this year via Diotima Records/Rockshots Records.

The video masterfully directed by Daniele Diana was shot on the wonderful coasts of the band’s homeland, Sardinia, right on those slopes, between land and sea, where the legend of which the same song speaks is born. The prefect union between the style of this track, with choral parts and sounds coming directly from their mother earth, and the splendid images, take us back in time in a dreamlike and rarefied atmosphere.

“‘The Princess of Navarra’ is the first ballad of the album. We love this song very much; it transports you, cradles you, encompasses you. Claudia’s singing is almost heartbreaking, moving, and enters straight into your soul. For the first time we hear the choral inserts, but it is not a classical choir, it is a Sardinian singing group called Amici del Canto Sardo. The Sardinian choral group has a very particular, unique sound that can’t be found anywhere else on the planet. In fact, in 2003 it was named by UNESCO as an example of Intangible Cultural Heritage. This song also tells a Sardinian legend, set in a small town called Santa Maria Navarrese. It is the story of the princess of Navarra and her escape to stay with a servant she had fallen in love with, against her father’s will. The princess manages to escape from the tower of the castle where she was locked up by her father, but together with her man she has to face storms at sea to be able to break free and finally live their love story. They manage to save themselves from the stormy seas by landing on a beach, where the town which takes its name from the story is today. Nobody knows whether or not there is any truth is this story”, explains the band.

“Janas” is available now via Diotima Records/Rockshots Records: https://bfan.link/janas. The vinyl version will be released on January 28th 2022. Pre-orders are available now: https://bit.ly/JanasVINYL

“Janas” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Oscar Nilsson at Crehate Studios in Mölndal (Sweden).

The album “Janas” is a concept, the second chapter of a journey that began with the previous album, “The Sorceress Reveals – Atlantis”. “Janas” tells the stories and legends of band’s land, Sardinia. Their island is full of wonderful mythological tales and characters, of esoteric stories that are often macabre, but which portray a truly fascinating historical and cultural journey.

“We have a shared interest in the history and culture of the peoples of the sea, of the Mediterranean, and we are one of them. Much of Western history is rooted in the tales of the peoples of the sea, skilled conquerors who crossed the seas to conquer new lands or to defend their own. But there is more. Within Sardinia there are places that often remain undiscovered. Far from the more accessible touristic locations, these places are steeped in stories both true and fictitious, which we were often told during our childhood, and which probably formed the basis of our personality and the way we see the world. In brief, ‘Janas’ talks about these stories, about us, and about the Earth we have been walking on since we were born”, enthuses the drummer Giorgio Pinna.

“Janas” track list:
1. The Black Mask
2. Sleep Demon
3. The Princess of Navarra
4. Janas
5. The Dark Lady
6. Ichnos Superhero
7. My Roots
8. Maty
9. Mediterranean Lane
10. Sherden

SOULS OF DIOTIMA is a band with a unique style, featuring recognizable elements of traditional, progressive and symphonic metal, as well as unconventional elements, woven together musically in a powerfully expressive new way. Their style recalls Mediterranean atmospheres and traditions, and you can call it “Mediterranean Metal”.

Napalm Records Releases NFT Collection in Cooperation with NIFTEE

Napalm Records breaks new ground with the release of a very special NFT collection in collaboration with NIFTEE. These are non-reproducible, unique digital artworks will be up for auction on niftee.eu in the coming days. Only ONE of each individual band NFT will be available!

NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token, and is a protected digital object mostly built on a blockchain. NFT’s are thus unique and irreplaceable digital objects, comparable to an original physical painting. It’s their exclusivity that gives them special value. They can stand alone or be offered together with another item.

The first collection will be up for auction beginning November 4, 2021. KISSIN’ DYNAMITE marks the beginning of the Napalm Records collection and auction an NFT in the form of an exploding dynamite stick featuring their official band logo. As an exclusive bonus, there will be a golden ticket that serves as a free ticket with an accompanying person for all headline shows of KISSIN’ DYNAMITE.

Get your KISSIN’ DYNAMITE NFT HERE

The second NFT will come from German folk rockers FEUERSCHWANZ. One of the most important German folk rock bands out there presents an NFT in the shape of a drinking horn in a treasure chest, accompanied by the hit song “Das Elfte Gebot”.

Get your FEUERSCHWANZ NFT HERE

LORD OF THE LOST have established new symbolism since their last and so far most successful album, JUDAS, and so, offer an NFT in pure JUDAS style. The sign, which at first glance appears to be an upside-down cross and at second glance, a J, has become unmistakably linked with the band. The NFT is accompanied by a short sequence of the song “For They Know Not What They Do”.

HERE you can bid for the LORD OF THE LOST NFT

A very special NFT closes the collection – VISIONS OF ATLANTIS are staging their gold record for the hit single “A Life Of Our Own” as an NFT. Together with the NFT, the original physical golden award from 2021 will be auctioned exclusively!

German chart-toppers KISSIN’ DYNAMITE (#7 on the German Album Charts) are gearing up for the release of their new album, Not The End Of The Road, and today, bring the excitement to the next level with their new charity single “Good Life” alongside a bombastic music video!

For some time now, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have fought against childhood cancer through the power of their music. Today, the band furthers this imperative campaign with the release of the album track and new charity awareness single “Good Life”, featuring high-caliber guests Charlotte Wessels, Alea der Bescheidene (Saltatio Mortis) and Guernica Mancini  (Thundermother). With this meaningful power ballad, the German powerhouse showcases their softer side by delivering a song that could easily be heard on any mainstream rock radio station!

Watch the Official Video for “Good Life” HERE:

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have partnered with the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V., a charity organization that supports children with cancer in their hometown. In conjunction with the release of “Good Life”, the band has created a campaign shirt (see below), which is now available for purchase HERE. 100% of the proceeds from the shirt and a portion of the proceeds received from downloads and streams of “Good Life” itself will be donated to to the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V. in Tübingen.

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE on “Good Life”:
“The message of our song ‘Good Life’ concerns ALL people, regardless of gender, age, size, weight, sexuality, origin or skin color. Therefore, it is important for us to continue the cooperation we started in 2020 with the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V., an organization that supports children with cancer in our hometown. With that, all of the proceeds from the campaign shirt and a portion of the proceeds from the charity awareness song, which features three well-known artists, will go directly to the organization.”

Founded in 2007, German heavy metal formation KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have made more than just a name for themselves in the scene: With six studio albums and various chart entries (#7 on the GER album charts with their full-length Ecstasy in 2018), the band established their trademark style – characterized by modern sound, massive anthems and catchy hooks paired with an 80s stadium rock attitude and eccentric look. Now, the five piece is ready to release their Napalm Records debut, Not The End Of The Road, and usher in heavy metal in 2022!

The new studio album was produced, recorded and mixed by vocalist Hannes Braun (Südland Music) himself, who has also worked with bands like Santiano, The Kelly Family and Beyond The Black. Mastering was completed by Grammy Award winning producer Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, known for his work with bands like Volbeat and many more.

Ande Braun on the new album:
“Not The End Of The Road is an album that accurately describes our experiences as a band since Ecstasy in 2018. First and foremost, we highlight with songs like “Not The End Of The Road”, “What Goes Up”, “Yoko Ono” and “Only The Dead”: We’re up for it, we’re pulling together and we want to reach the rock Olympus! Titles like “Coming Home”, “Gone For Good” and “Scars”, on the other hand, deal with real feelings like loneliness, homesickness and sadness, which are also part of life.”

Hannes Braun adds:
“With Ecstasy, we already didn’t make any compromises and just wanted to compose music that speaks from us. Not The End Of The Road seamlessly picks up exactly here.”

Pre-order your copy of Not The End Of The Road NOW!

With Not The End Of The Road, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE set another milestone in their successful discography: In guitar-driven power metal fashion, the tune of the intro and title track “Not The End Of The Road” prepares the listener for a thrilling road trip and new anthems straight from the heart of the KISSIN’ DYNAMITE universe. Crusher “What Goes Up” takes its listener into the truly spectacular soundscapes that make stadiums shake and convinces with Aerosmith-like guitar attacks and an anthemic hook. But KISSIN’ DYNAMITE are also not afraid to show their mellower side, as heard on delightfully tranquil tracks like “Good Life” and “Gone For Good” – not only showcasing the almost calm touches pervading the melodies, but also presenting the softer side of Braun’s vocal repertoire. While tracks like “No One Dies A Virgin” and “Yoko Ono” symbolize catchy party hymns, standouts “Coming Home” and “Defeat It” underline their origins of stadium rock without being pigeonholed. “Voodoo Spell” manifests the variety of the band and their different influences – starting with strong dark rock elements, the song becomes an opus that easily competes with the biggest stadium giants. The album’s closer, “Scars”, proves once again that KISSIN’ DYNAMITE can reach the depths and showcase lyrical vulnerability – an impressive ending that screams to be played live.

Not The End Of The Road track listing:

  1. Not the End of the Road
  2. What Goes Up
  3. Only the Dead
  4. Good Life
  5. Yoko Ono
  6. Coming Home
  7. All for a Halleluja
  8. No One Dies a Virgin
  9. Gone for Good
  10. Defeat It
  11. Voodoo Spell
  12. Scars

With “Live, New, Borrowed, Blue” (Metalville Records) THE QUILL will release a personal selection of unreleased song treasures from their long career on 28.01.2022. Also in January 2022, the band will go on club tour in Europe.

Digging through old boxes you find stuff you’ve totally forgotten about – and every once in a while you find old nuggets well worth rediscovering again. And when you’ve been active as a band for a long time, you always find songs that didn’t fit into the usual album format. For the reasons we know, THE QUILL had a lot of free time last year to look through the remaining tracks to shorten the waiting time for the next studio album for the fans. “Live, New, Borrowed, Blue” contains tracks from the sessions for the last album “Earthrise” as well as some cover songs that THE QUILL recorded in the late 90s for various tribute albums that are now long out of print. As a kind of icing on the cake, there are also two live tracks from the Sweden Rock Festival 2019, as a reminder of this fantastic performance.
