ACCEPT Postpone European Tour + Announce New Digital Single ‘The Undertaker – Live’

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: accept. Leave a comment

ACCEPT were getting ready to rock Europe together with their many loyal fans from 15 January 2022 on. But now the virus-related circumstances still do not allow it. Against all expectations and hopes the Metal Teutons have to postpone their planned “Too Mean To Die” Tour to January/February 2023.

“As much as we want to, the current Covid situation just doesn’t allow us to go forward with this 2022 tour“, explained ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. “It’s a super tough call, but we have no choice but to postpone once again. We wanted to play this tour badly. We had a killer setlist prepared with lots of new songs from the “Too Mean to Die” album. I’m very sorry for the fans and of course everybody in the band is very disappointed. But hey, life goes on… Please stay safe, stay Metal and stay “too mean to die“! We’ll see you soonest!“

Promoter Gerald Wilkes of Continental Concerts added: “The ACCEPT tour was planned through a total of 16 countries with very different regional infection situations, which are currently changing very quickly and therefore are incalculable for all involved. The legal requirements vary from country to country – even often from city to city. It all looked so promising a few months ago, but the situation right now simply doesn’t allow it!”

As a (small) consolation, ACCEPT are serving their fans the digital live single ‘The Undertaker’ today, November 5th via Nuclear Blast! Get the single digitally, here: https://accept.bfan.link/the-undertaker-live

In addition, ACCEPT and Nuclear Blast announce that another limited version (750 copies worldwide) of the hit album “Too Mean To Die” will be released on silver vinyl (2 LP) on 18 February 2022, which can also be pre-ordered now, HERE.

The good news at the end: ACCEPT have secured the venues for 2023. And can therefore announce the new dates right here and right now! Gerald Wilkes adds: “The tour is confirmed for 2023 and tickets remain valid.”

New 2023 ACCEPT tour dates will be released very soon!

WOLFTOOTH Reveal Adventurous Second Single + Music Video ‘Broken Sword’

Richmond, Indiana’s WOLFTOOTH recently announced the upcoming release of their colossal new Napalm Records debut, Blood & Iron, dropping December 3, 2021. Offering an immense slab of proto-metal influenced heaviness with a deep dose of doom essence and addictive stoner riffage, the album travels through a treasure trove of fantasy-themed lyrical influences – exploring mystical and often treacherous themes of mythology, lore and legend with a focus on sorcery, battle and non-stop adventure!

Following up on the release of victorious first single “The Voyage”, the band has revealed a  second single, entitled “Broken Sword”, alongside another new music video. The thrash-injected track gallops towards soaring guitar melodies and an addictive chorus as the story’s hero lays waste to all in his path.

WOLFTOOTH says about “Broken Sword”:
“The song “Broken Sword” is about a young boy that escapes his village being ransacked and burnt to the ground, with most of the villagers being killed or taken into slavery. The boy journeys on a vision quest to heal his broken spirit. 20 years later, after much training both physically and mentally, he returns to take revenge for his ancestors. The broken sword symbolizes his broken spirit, and the blood on the sword symbolizes the freedom of his people.”

Watch the official music video for “Broken Sword” HERE

WOLFTOOTH launched onto the scene in 2017, swiftly grabbing the attention of fans, tastemakers and industry alike. Now, building upon the subterranean success of their lauded previous albums (2018’s Wolftooth and 2020’s Valhalla), the band unveils Blood & Iron – a true nod to classic, feel-good American heavy metal with modernized flair. If you enjoy your metal homegrown, larger-than-life and with a weighty dose of mystical storytelling, WOLFTOOTH’s Blood & Iron is your next favorite!

Recorded, mixed and mastered by producer Jeremy Lovins, Blood & Iron begins ominously with “Ahab” – beckoning the listener to join WOLFTOOTH’s fabled trek with an isolated guitar introduction before bursting into a sticky, metallic blues jam, instantly echoing the likes of Black Sabbath to Pallbearer while maintaining fresh delivery. The track effectively poises the album for greatness before leading into two tales of historic prevalence backed by trudging riffage – Xerces epic “Hellespont”, and mythical ode to triumphant Irish warrior Cú Chulainn, “Blood & Iron”. The tracks ebb and flow amid melodic solos, sludgy rhythms and charging drums, evident on songs like galloping, thrash-injected assault “Broken Sword” and headbang-inducing, lead-laden “A King’s Land”. WOLFTOOTH continue their immense sonic storytelling with soaring saga “The Voyage” and frigid ballad “Winter White” before closing out the nine enormous tunes on Blood & Iron with two of its most standout offerings – cohesive and rhythmically-enticing “Garden Of Hesperides” and driving final epic “The Mare” – depicting stories of 100-headed dragons, witches, dark horses and mind control. What more could a true metalhead ask for?

WOLFTOOTH adds about the album:
“Blood & Iron is the culmination of all the work that we as a band have put into forging our sound over the last four years. Musically, we feel that we’ve honed what works well for us while expanding on what was already there. This album represents a more mature direction, relying on classic heavy metal influence with a strong nod to our proto-metal roots. Lyrically, the album focuses on kings, battle, conquest and myth. These elements together coalesce into a riff-laden slab of heavy metal that we are all proud of.”

Violinist, composer, ethnomusicologist TUOMAS ROUNAKARI‘s the “Bear Awakener” crowdfunding campaign, active since yesterday, has reached its goal in less than 12 hours! Album pre-orders are now available at Indiegogo. Furthermore, Tuomas has release a new crowdfunding video, telling more details about “Bear Awakener” and its meaning, the video can be seen at https://igg.me/at/bearawakener.

Planned release date of “Bear Awakener” is on March 13th 2022! The crowdfunding runs until January 2th, 2022, here: https://igg.me/at/bearawakener

Just recently he unveiled the video where he unboxes the unique Bear Amulets, created by a shamanic artist Angela Bazaron, straight from Siberia, in case you missed it, watch it here: https://www.facebook.com/shamanviolin/videos/278449967500776

Also watch the first teaser for “Bear Awakener”: https://www.facebook.com/shamanviolin/videos/285653149947539

What is “Bear Awakener”?
The name Bear Awakener comes from specific songs sung in order to awaken the bear. This album dives deep into the bear myths and is designed to re-awaken or cherish anyones connection with this mythical entity.

The myth of a bear’s origin is identical among the Finns and the indigenous Khanty and Mansi people. Both cultures run ceremonial Bear feasts that last several days. Many songs, dances and plays are performed in honor of the bear. Tuomas Rounakari has studied the bear feast songs of all of these cultures. There are thousands of verses containing bear related myths in the vast archives of Finland and the tradition is now returning among the Khanty and Mansi.

Planned release date is March 13th 2022. According to an ancient Finnish bear calendar this date marked the end of winter hibernation and awakening of the bears.

TUOMAS ROUNAKARI is an internationally acclaimed violinist, composer and ethnomusicologist from Finland. He is a one-man-band blending violin, vocals and stomping with ankle-bells. In his performance he enters various trance-states. In this album he will also be playing a traditional Khanty instrument called Ning-juh.

Tuomas is inspired by different forms of dialogue; man and nature, the seen and the unseen world, ancient and future. His first solo album Shamanviolin was a result of ethnomusicological studies of the earliest 20th century wax-cylinder recordings from Siberia. These studies have also led to many collaborations with indigenous artists. He is one of the few artists who have actually returned their art to native communities for evaluation and development.

Have a look at the Online concert from Kaustinen Folk Music Festival 2020. Shamanviolin at Pauanne is a full-length online concert produced by the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival 2020. The concert was filmed at the magical Pauanne where a community of folk musicians and folk healers used to live in the 1980’s. All buildings are fully hand made with many mythological decorations. The place has unfortunately decayed without much needed preservation. This Shamanviolin concert ends with lament melodies in a burnt down sauna. The magic and unique beauty of this place is still strong. A perfect environment for my music.

Yo ho ho… ho! Notorious fabled folk rockers YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS have gathered under the Christmas tree to gift their devoted crew something swashbucklingly special this holiday season! The band is thrilled to reveal a brand new full-length album of pirate-packed Christmas favorites – A Pirate Stole My Christmas, out December 3, 2021 – interpreted in a way only your favorite Swedish scallywags could!

Get a hearty first heaping of A Pirate Stole My Christmas with first shanty “Sulphur Ahoy” – setting a cozy yet spooky mood for the yuletide season. You landlubbers better not miss this one – yarrrrr!

YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS on “Sulphur Ahoy”:
“In our song “Sulphur Ahoy“, we were running out of space on the album, and managed to slay two traditional carols with one stone. By stealing from the original works of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and “Pat-a-pan” we tell the story of a fatigued group of freedom fighters trying to get a good night’s rest before a deadly battle. The only problem is that, armed with drums and bagpipes, two assholes of the army musicians try to wake everyone up to have the whole crew join them in a last night of drunken debauchery.“

Watch the new music video for “Sulphur Ahoy“ HERE:

´Tis the jolliest of seasons! Swedish sea dogs YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS have come a’rowing through rough seas and salty winds to steal Christmas in the most swashbuckling of ways. Wrapped in the swag of pirate folk rock, the newly interpreted, grim covers of beloved Christmas classics on A Pirate Stole My Christmas draw the listener into a dark underworld of blood and bones! YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS put their shanty and pirate folk-infused spin on Christmas tunes like “Twelve Days Of Christmas” and the captivating album opener “Ring The Bells”. The well-known classic “Oh Christmas Tree” gets a new coat of paint when YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS re-word it to “O Cannonball” – most definitely making Christmas Eve a special occasion for the most beautiful time of the year.

YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS add:
“If given enough time, every artist will eventually lose their last ounce of self-respect, and release a Christmas album. YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS are no strangers to self-loathing commercial stunts, and with our new album – A Pirate Stole my Christmas, we aim to officially join the ranks of Christmas legends such as Maria Carey and Bing Crosby. Our album is compiled of 11 classic carols defiled into an unrecognizable pulp of rum-drenched atonal pirate madness. If you didn’t hate Christmas before, this is certain to change your mind!”
