IMMORTALIS to Re-Issue Classic Album “Indicium De Mortuis” on 20th February

Death metal stalwarts Immortalis have announced the re-issue of their one and only album Indicium De Mortuis via Hammerheart Records. This dark, fluid and malevolent extreme metal masterpiece from 1991 will be released on vinyl and double CD on 20th February, 2026.

Pre-orders are now available here: https://immortalis.lnk.to/indiciumdemortuis

Welcome to the bizarre world of Indicium De Mortuis by Immortalis, a record where nothing is what it seems. This is a death metal album that channels the spirit of Possessed and Slayer. The album is menacing as hell, do not proceed with caution… go in and prepare to be kicked back out. If you want some dark, cryptic death metal with no mercy, then this is the stuff of kings. The production (courtesy of Andy Classen from Holy Moses) sounds like an early Dan Swanö recording and has aged well. The vocalist roars like Barney Greenway of Napalm Death, the riffs reminds one of Florida death metal (Deicide and Massacre especially), the eccentric rawness is not too distant from Austrian bands (e.g., Pungent Stench, Disharmonic Orchestra).

For old school death metal, it’s as special and haunting as they come, but with more doom as the special ingredients. Where Hypocrisy’s Penetralia was bludgeoning with its tone, this one is heavy as shit but laidback at the same time, it kills you with the rhythm rather than the massiveness of the guitar tone. It isn’t the Swedish chainsaw, but deafening and cavernous like bastardized thrash on crack. Most of the riffs are mid-paced crushers while the drumming is ballistic bombs bombarding the earth. You could play this album to five death metal veteran listeners and they would all find new comparison points. The only consistency is the interplay between paranoia-inducing Possessed riffs (i.e., ever-decreasing circles that threaten to reduce the musical space to a singularity) and evil af Slayer riffs.

Indicium De Mortuis is brilliant, but requires concerted effort and attention. The result is some of the most adventurous and fluid death metal of its time. No exaggeration.

Game Over will release “Crimes Against Reality (2026 remaster)” on February 20 through Scarlet Records.

Originally released by Scarlet Records in 2016, “Crimes Against Reality” was the third studio album for Game Over, at that time one of the youngest and most promising up’n’coming bands in the European thrash metal scene.

The record followed the widely successful “Burst Into The Quiet”, which put Game Over on the map and displayed their massive potential. Inspired by the classic Bay Area thrash scene of the Eighties, Game Over mixed those influences with modern sounds and a very distinctive personality.

Carefully remastered by the original top-notch producer Simone Mularoni, “Crimes Against Reality (2026 remaster)” contains ten tracks that mix sharp riffs, anthemic choruses and powerful rhythms, enriched by the use of unusual instruments such as Moogs and Hammonds, plus a wild bonus track recorded live by the present line-up. Lyrics vary from B-movie scenarios to social-political themes, science fiction, mythology and dystopian visions.

A killer work ten years ago, an even more ferocious headbanging rollercoaster right now!

  • third studio album for the Italian manic thrashers, originally released by Scarlet Records in 2016;
  • Game Over’s most commercially successful release ever;
  • originally produced and currently remastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio;
  • cover & artwork by Mario López (Skeletal Remains, Toxik, Vulture);
  • FFO: Exodus, Testament, Metallica, Cro-Mags, Suicidal Tendencies, Excel;
  • “Crimes Against Reality (2026 remaster)” will be released in the following formats: jewel case CD, vinyl LP (100 transparent clear; 200 marbled red), digital

KALANDRA Share Beautiful Lyric Video for ‘Hymna til Blåfjell’ from New EP

The Norwegian collective KALANDRA unveils a captivating lyric video for “Hymna til Blåfjell” (Hymm to Blue Mountain). The song reimagines a deeply cherished hymn from the beloved Norwegian NRK Christmas TV series.

Through Kalandra’s mesmerising Nordic charms, the track becomes both a nostalgic hymn and an atmospheric ode to the timeless spirit of Blåfjell.

Kalandra comments:
This song is our take on one of the most beloved songs from a classic Norwegian Christmas TV series. The original was composed by Geir Bøhren and Bent Åserud, with lyrics by Gudny Hagen.
Blåfjell – or “Blue Mountain” – is the mythical home of the Blånisser (blue elves). Every winter, there’s a moment between sunset and darkness that we in Norway call Blåtimen – the blue hour – when the snowy mountains glow in deep shades of blue.

Bringing this song to life felt like revisiting a piece of our own childhood. We wanted to capture that same sense of wonder and magic we felt watching the series and translate it into the world of Kalandra. We hope our fellow Norwegians will feel the nostalgia – and that listeners everywhere can sense a bit of that northern winter magic, even if they’ve never heard the original.”

video was created by riivata.com

The song is taken from the recently released EP ‘Mørketid’, which features four tracks in total, two of which are carefully reimagined covers, alongside two of their original compositions.

The EP is out digitally via By Norse Music and can be found HERE.

Kalandra is a Norwegian/Swedish quartet that blends melancholic Nordic influences with gritty guitars and ethereal melodies, crafting haunting musical landscapes rooted in raw emotion and cinematic depth. Formed in 2011, the band has spent over a decade shaping a sound that is uniquely their own—building a dedicated studio space, refining their musical identity, and supporting acts such as Leprous, Gåte, Wardruna, Heilung and Eivør.

Following the success of their 2020 debut album The Line and their atmospheric soundtrack for the video game Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands, Kalandra returned in 2024 with their second album A Frame of Mind. Drawing from their years of growth and collaboration, the new record is their most expansive to date—showcasing versatility while staying true to the immersive soundscape that defines them.

A Frame of Mind invites listeners on an introspective journey, reflecting on how life’s experiences shape our perception of the world. The album explores what we choose to include—and exclude—within the frame of our everyday lives, revisiting memories of hardship, childhood, and the growing uncertainty of the future.

With performances at major festivals like Hellfest, touring Australia and Europe, Kalandra continues to expand their audience across the world.

Old-school thrash metal veterans Bloodride return with their new video for the song, “Kill Without Hate,” a relentless attack on the cold, emotionless face of modern warfare. The track portrays the grim reality of violence removed from human consequence, where killing becomes as impersonal and routine as a video game.

Fast, brutal, and unflinching, “Kill Without Hate” is classic Bloodride: old-school thrash intensity fused with sharp, thought-provoking commentary.

“Kill without Hate” is a track taken from the band’s album Deafening, out via Wormholedeath Worldwide. The album is a thrash metal assault that pushes boundaries and leaves no neck unthrashed.

French philosophically-themed black metallers DECLINE OF THE I share pro-shot live video for the song “Diev Vide”, lifted from the band’s fourth studio album “Johannes” from 2021. Watch the video below.

The video was filmed and edited in France in fall 2025 by Laura-Lee Soleman and engineered by Simon Assathiany.

DECLINE OF THE I is a combination of multifaceted, post-black metal and exploratory lyrics, that dwell on topics of existential philosophy. Originating from France (Paris, Île-de-France), the band was created by AK, who descends from a rich portfolio of past and on-going acts (including Vorkreist, Merrimack, The Order Of Apollyon, Neo Inferno 262, Malhkebre and Diapsiquir). DECLINE OF THE I is his most personal endeavor yet. The band’s first three albums were inspired by the works of French surgeon and neurologist, Henri Laborit. The latest album – “Wilhelm” from 2025 – pursues a different approach, based on the output of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, and marks the second installment of a new trilogy, started with “Johannes” in 2021.

Line-up:
AK – guitars, keyboards, vocals
SI – vocals
AD – bass
SK – drums

SEMPER ACERBUS Battle Addiction in New ‘One Day at A Time’ Lyric Video & Single

American Melodic Metalcore band Semper Acerbus is back and they bring us to the brink of poison and pain like exotic plague doctors bursting from the shadows and forging a path for us into the light! The band just dropped a heartfelt new single and lyric video entitled “One Day at A Time” which talks about addiction and recovery. The lyric video was directed by Marc Coronado and it is the second single & music video taken from their upcoming full-length album Following Omens which will be released on January 9, 2026 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced by Chris Mora (Upon a Burning Body, Kingdom Collapse, Chimaira) at Warhorse Recordings (San Antonio, TX).

“We had plans to do a very intricate concept video because of the great lyrical content and message but we had to change those plans” says lead vocalist Nelson Acerbus. “Sometimes things just don’t go as planned and with this video, that was the case. We were able to call in Marc Coronado once again who came to our rescue saving the day with an amazing lyric video which perfectly captures the message and meaning behind the song, and we’re thrilled everything turned out this way!”

Semper Acerbus go straight for the jugular with their blistering third metalcore album titled Following Omens, blasting us across deserts, dunes, mountains, and woodlands deep and dark in the pit of the heart. The vocals are a nuclear fusion of rip-saw growls accented and built on in key moments with layers of traditional lead and harmony lines both modern and medieval, all meant to paint you pictures and sever your soul. The rhythm tracks crash like waves in the wild, and the lyrics are mirrors haunted by the shadows of our deepest and darkest emotional ghosts. Moreover, this album is a guitar-lover’s dream, often schemed with melodic soloing deep in the mix during the verse, and in effect, sounding like orchestral strings in a supernatural soundtrack echoing inside a damp cave, a deep tunnel, or the nave of some sinister, abandoned, desecrated church. The more nostalgic platform solos are intricate and aesthetically gratifying, and the massive rhythm riffs are often so rich and complex that it feels like knights, rooks, and kings have overtaken a checkerboard. The album was produced by produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris Mora (Upon a Burning Body, Kingdom Collapse, Chimaira) at Warhorse Recordings in San Antonio, Texas. Artwork for the album and singles was created by Federico Bossinga at Abstract Chaos Design (Dark Funeral, Dimmu Borgir, Oceano, Old Man’s Child). Following Omens by Semper Acerbus will be released on January 9, 2026 via Eclipse Records.
