NMB – The Neal Morse Band – are set to release their much-anticipated fourth studio album ‘Innocence & Danger’, this Friday, August 27th, 2021. Today, the band are pleased to share the video for “Your Place in the Sun”, the third single taken from the upcoming album.
Mike Portnoy says this about the track, ‘This was another seed that Randy brought in…it originally had a bit of a Steely Dan/Joe Cocker shuffle to it and we then gave it the NMB touch. The end of each chorus has a cool Beatle-esque tag that Bill brought in. Like all my favorite NMB songs, it features 4 of us sharing the lead vocals.”
Following the recent announcement of their 15th studio album A View From The Top Of The World, two-time GRAMMY-nominated and millions-selling progressive music titans DREAM THEATER have released the first piece of music from the album slated for release on October 22nd via InsideOutMusic / Sony Music. “The Alien” is the opener of the band’s upcoming album and showcases the energy the band had after reuniting to begin work on the new record. The song is now available via all streaming partners. An animated video for the track that clocks in at 9:32 is also available and can be seen HERE!
“It’s the first one we wrote together. It gives people a window into what it was like when we initially met up after all of those months off. It has the adventure, the untraditional structure, the heaviness, and the hooks. It really set the tone for the album,” explains John Petrucci. “ James wrote the lyrics about the idea of terraforming and looking beyond our Earth for alternative settlements. Since we’re going beyond our planet, ‘The Alien’ turns out to be us. I thought it was a cool and creative lyric by James.”
A View From The Top Of The World was produced by John Petrucci, engineered and additional production by James “Jimmy T” Meslin and mixed/mastered by Andy Sneap and available for pre-order HERE!
Rising metal stars TETRARCH recently released their trailblazing sophomore full-length album, Unstable, to rave reviews and worldwide acclaim, and also announced a slew of fall tour dates with bands such as Atreyu, Nonpoint and more (see below for a full listing). In anticipation of the return of touring season, the band is thrilled to unleash a blistering new music video for the hard-charging album anthem “Stitch Me Up”.
Lead guitarist Diamond Rowe says: “Shooting the video for ‘Stitch Me Up’ was super fun and we are honestly thrilled with how it came out. The way the storyline was shot has such a cinematic feel to it and the finished product just looks awesome.
The theme of this video is kind of about being an outcast in your everyday life. You can sometimes feel like a complete freak when it seems like no one else sees things the same way that you do or has common interests, but finally meeting up with people that are like you can make you feel safe and whole. It reminds me a lot of all of us in the heavy music community and how we may be looked at in strange ways, but when we’re all together we are just one big happy family sharing our love of music.”
Watch the hard-hitting new music video for “Stitch Me Up” HERE:
Produced by the band and Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegaeon, Khemmis), TETRARCH’s new album, Unstable, dropped on April 30 via Napalm Records to major critical acclaim! Loudwire stated, “TETRARCH are not messing around, bringing the heavy with full force…”, while Alternative Presssaid, “The meteoric rise of nu metal’s brightest new stars TETRARCH has been a compelling show for the scene around them”. Upon release, TETRARCH’s debut single, “I’m Not Right” cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over six million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single “You Never Listen” received support from SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country’s leading active rock outlets, while one of their most recent singles, “Negative Noise”, has reached nearly one million views on YouTube and counting.
Fierce individuality and a fearless embrace of the outsider are at the heart of TETRARCH. The band’s tireless hard work and relentless determination has established them as one of the top up-and-coming bands in heavy music, catching the attention of major media including Pollstar (cover mention), Billboard, Revolver, Alternative Press, Guitar World, Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, many in which lead guitarist Diamond Rowe was the first African American female lead guitarist from the heavy metal genre to be featured. TETRARCH has been featured on Spotify playlists such as Kickass Metal, Rock Hard, New Blood (cover featured) and Metal Tracks and has also seen stellar support from Apple Music and their users, appearing on several additional playlists. Having appeared on major festivals such as Epicenter and Exit 111, TETRARCH is charging back into the major touring scene with renewed persistence and the mighty nonconformist’s spirit that has driven them since day one.
The title of the new studio album by the band around rock icon Udo Dirkschneider (original voice of the cult band Accept) has become a statement that has a lot to talk about.
Global climate change is one of the topics that Dirkschneider brings up on the album. “Floods in Germany or the fires in southern Europe and Turkey have shown how urgent it is to do something,” says the musician. “But not only here. The world is also increasingly having a peace problem. International arms trade and private arms possession are increasing. In many countries, there is an increasing number of shootings among minors, including in schools. In addition, there is an unknown number of child soldiers who are actively involved in the war in many places. “ A theme that the song. “Kids And Guns” treats.
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY announced their 11th studio album, Doom Crew Inc., out November 26 via Spinefarm.

Additionally, Spinefarm have created an extra-special loaded & limited box, including grey/marble vinyl, cassette, CD, t-shirt, pin badge, enamel badge & an official photo card. Limited to 500 worldwide.
Today, the band released their first single, “Set You Free” – check out the absurdly ridiculous video for the first single, here.
The 12-track album is both a tribute to the band’s “first to bleed, last to leave” road crew and a salute to the legion whose support, stretching back to 1998, rivals that of the KISS Army. The stomping, heavy, bluesy, recklessly unhinged hard-rock-metal quartet are part invading horde, and part traveling carnival – summoning caffeine-fuelled cacophony on records and the stage.
The songs are odes to celebration and mourning, the soundtracks to jubilant evenings and bewildering days recorded in Zakk’s home studio, the Black Vatican. On this album, Zakk trades solos and twin-guitar parts with Dario Lorina, backed by the rumble of long-time bassist John “J.D.” DeServio and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb. “We incorporated Father Dario even more into the solos, doubling with me and being more involved in that regard,” said frontman Zakk Wylde. “It really, truly is a two-guitar album, more so than ever. A twin guitar band, whether it’s the Allman Brothers or Judas Priest, with harmony lines, unison lines, and trading off solos. It stemmed from the live shows, where we’d both go into the crowd and extend songs like ‘Fire It Up.’”
Doom Crew Inc., tracklisting Set You Free Destroy & Conquer You Made Me Want to Live Forever and a Day End of Days Ruins Forsaken Love Reign Down Gospel of Lies Shelter Me Gather all my Sins Farewell Ballad

Napalm Records is proud to announce the signing of the outstanding progressive/melodic death metal band PERSEFONE. Hailing out of Andorra, the five-piece outfit is known for the creation of rich soundscapes and technically precise work that sets new standards in modern extreme progressive metal.
Founded in 2001, PERSEFONE has released five studio albums, each one showcasing the band’s myriad of musical principles: high technicality, distinct melodies, plenty of head-turning riffs and musical acrobatics. The band has toured worldwide with notable acts like Obituary and Leprous, and has hit the stages of important festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Metal Days, Brutal Assault, ProgPower and 70,000 Tons of Metal.
For their previous albums, the band collaborated with producers such as Jens Bogren (At The Gates, Haken, The Ocean), Logan Mader (Gojira, Periphery, Once Human) and Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica). Recently, PERSEFONE finished recording their sixth studio album, which will be released in early 2022. The album is mixed by David Castillo, who has worked with genre greats like Leprous, Soen and Opeth, and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Ihsahn, Sepultura).
PERSEFONE comment the signing: “We are excited to announce that we have signed a worldwide deal with the renowned label Napalm Records. Since we started working on the new album, we knew we wanted to bring this whole experience that is PERSEFONE to a new level. Teaming up with Napalm Records will allow us to reach a new stage we couldn’t get to otherwise and we can’t wait to show you all what we’ve been working on these last few years. Stay tuned for more announcements about our new album and tours coming up!
The amount of hours and resources we have put into this release is way beyond any other album we have ever conceived. We have put the question mark on every little detail – from the writing process to the very last production element. Also, the commitment David has shown during this whole process definitely shows in the final sound of the album as it sounds huge, powerful and very organic. For us, every new album means a new challenge to surpass and this particular one has been no exception. For the first time ever we couldn’t be happier with the result. Much love.”
Sebastian Muench, A&R at Napalm Records adds: “PERSEFONEs album ‘Aathma’ is unquestionably one of most creative and inspiring progressive metal albums of the last decade! Having eagerly listened to some of the new songs, fans can expect another masterpiece! I am looking forward to working with PERSEFONE and the Welkin Entertainment Management around Tim and Rahul. Welcome to the Napalm family!”
The album’s release is planned for early 2022. Stay tuned for more news!
