BLACK LABEL SOCIETY announced their 11th studio album, Doom Crew Inc., out November 26 via Spinefarm.  

The album will be available digitally, on CD and on 2-disc vinyl via three limited colour variants (details below).

The 12-track album is both a tribute to the band’s “first to bleed, last to leave” road crew and a salute to the legion whose support, stretching back to 1998, rivals that of the KISS Army. The stomping, heavy, bluesy, recklessly unhinged hard-rock-metal quartet are part invading horde, and part traveling carnival – summoning caffeine-fuelled cacophony on records and the stage.   

The songs are odes to celebration and mourning, the soundtracks to jubilant evenings and bewildering days recorded in Zakk’s home studio, the Black Vatican. On this album, Zakk trades solos and twin-guitar parts with Dario Lorina, backed by the rumble of long-time bassist John “J.D.” DeServio and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb. “We incorporated Father Dario even more into the solos, doubling with me and being more involved in that regard,” said frontman Zakk Wylde. “It really, truly is a two-guitar album, more so than ever. A twin guitar band, whether it’s the Allman Brothers or Judas Priest, with harmony lines, unison lines, and trading off solos. It stemmed from the live shows, where we’d both go into the crowd and extend songs like ‘Fire It Up.’”

ARMORED SAINT Announce Tour Dates with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, PRONG

Last October, ARMORED SAINT released their eighth full-length, Punching The Sky, via Metal Blade Records. Today, the band has announced their first tour dates in support of this record: a short run of shows with Black Label Society and Prong in December 2021!

Leaders and stalwarts of the American heavy metal scene since the early 80s, Armored Saint‘s latest release, Punching The Sky (2020), sees them returning hard. A diverse, attitude-drenched collection, it’s everything the band’s faithful have come to expect from them while pushing their signature sound forward. With Vera acting as producer, he recruited the same engineering team that worked on Win Hands Down (2015) with drums recorded by Josh Newell at El Dorado Studios in Burbank, CA, guitars tracked by Bill Metoyer at Skullseven studios in North Hollywood, CA, and vocals, bass and additional recordings by the bassist at his studio. Mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Amon Amarth, Stonesour), the record also features a few guest musicians further expanding its sonic palette, the whole thing kicking off with the sound of Uilleann Pipes, Vera finding player Patrick D’Arcy in LA and recruiting him to the cause. Guns ‘N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed also contributes, Vera giving both him and D’Arcy some general directions and letting them loose, both of them delivering strong performances. The band’s own Gonzo Sandoval plays an American Indian flute on “Never You Fret” – a first for Armored Saint and their drummer. Also Jacob Ayala, the son of a childhood friend who is a drum major in high school, added some marching snare on one of the tracks, which really stands out.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY have announced a European tour in support of their new album Grimmest Hits.  Tickets will be on sale Friday, Nov. 3rd.  

A month into their criss-crossing Europe through eleven countries and 24 full-throttle live shows, BLS will play the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London, on April 5th, 2018.

Now ten studio albums deep, the setlist is sure to be career defining and BLS bandleader, Zakk Wylde, can be relied upon to wield his guitar like a Viking weapon, bashing out thick riffage and squeezing out expressive squeals as if the glory of his Berserker brotherhood depends upon every single note, which of course, it does.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will release their tenth full length titled “Grimmest Hits” on January 19, 2018 via Entertainment One (eOne). The new effort will be the highly anticipated follow up to Billboard Top 5 charting titles Catacombs of the Black Vatican (2014) and Order of the Black (2010). In-between then and now, Zakk Wylde released “Book of Shadows II”, the long awaited follow up from his 1996 solo debut of the same name, which debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist Dario Lorina’s second instrumental record “Death Grip Tribulations” is set for physical and digital release February 24th, 2017 on the legendary Shrapnel Records, known for discovering and recording guitarists of extraordinary ability.

Dario’s new record is a powerful show of songwriting infused with shred guitar, vintage modern influence, and a richly musical band consisting of long time musical partner Dan DC Conway (Drums), fellow Black Label Society band mates John JD DeServio (Bass) and Jeff Fabb (Drums), former Lizzy Borden band mate Marten Andersson (Bass), and features a song with guitarist Phil Campbell (Motorhead/Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons).  Engineered and mixed by Fred Archambault, known for his work with Alice Cooper and Avenged Sevenfold, among others.  This record is a sheer embodiment of this high caliber guitarist’s vast skill set.

Metal guitar young blood, Dario Lorina began his professional career in 2006 at age 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-Warrant).  At age 19, he joined veteran metal act Lizzy Borden whom he toured with for 4 years.  Dario released his first instrumental record on Shrapnel Records in September of 2013.  January 1st, 2014 he joined Black Label Society and has since been touring worldwide with BLS and Zakk Wylde, performing on both guitar and keys, most recently on Zakk Wylde‘s latest Book of Shadows II tour.

Following huge fan demand, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will be gracing the HRH stage for a long overdue performance in North Wales this November, alongside other HRH favourites SAXON and UFO.
