Behemoth mastermind Adam “Nergal” Darski has signed a menacing pact with the devil once again, returning with dark folk/blues/Americana influenced solo project ME AND THAT MAN’s third full-length studio album, New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol.2, on November 19, 2021 via Napalm Records.
Following the chart-breaking and critically acclaimed antecedent, New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol.1 (2020), the enthralling new offering follows the exciting path Nergal then set ablaze, once again featuring an abundance of heavy music icons – but this time, he takes it to a whole new level. Experience greats such as Gary Holt (Slayer, Exodus), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Mary Goore, Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God), Myrkur, Devin Townsend, David Vincent, Doug Blair (W.A.S.P), Hank von Hell (Turbonegro) and Olve “Abbath” Eikemo (Immortal, Abbath) intertwining with the album’s bewitching collection of occult anthems, marking another breathtaking symbiosis of unfiltered blues, gothic-laced folk, country essence and touch of evil you’ll swear was either beamed straight out of hell or the most blackened of churches.
To mark the album announcement, the devil himself opens a gloomy rift to the most sinister mass and unveils its first track and the official music video. “Got Your Tongue” feat. Chris Georgiadis (Turbowolf) showcases another facet of his juxtaposed project and fuels the fire for more!
Adam “Nergal” Darski on the new album: “Here we go again, mother lovers! New Man, New Songs, Same Shit VOLUME 2. You guys know the drill, I recruited the best of the best in heavy music to collaborate on some unique tracks me and the Polish, Italian and Ukrainian crew have been working on over the last 18 months. Once again, the result, amazing and the performances, inspired! Thank you, Comrades – Abbath, Alissa, Amalie, Anders, Blaze, Chris G, Chris H, David, Devin, Douglas, Frank, Gary, Hank, Jeff, Kris, M.Goore, Michale, Ralf and Randy. Who knows when we’ll get together to play these songs but I will try my best to make it happen! Enjoy it everyone!”

Following the chart-breaking part one of the album, ME AND THAT MAN are now presenting whole new facets: Opening track “Black Hearse Cadillac”, featuring the vocals of Hank von Hell and guitar sorcery by Anders Odden, marks a sinister beginning to this infernal journey through dark desert soundscapes and evil lyricism. Driving “Under The Spell” (feat. Mary Goore) lives up to its title, at times evoking a spaghetti western-esque ambience. Songs like wicked “Witches Don’t Fall in Love” (feat. Kristoffer Rygg/Ulver), straight-to-the-head rocking “Blues & Cocaine” (feat. Michale Graves) and mysterious “Goodbye” – with a haunting yet powerful vocal attack by Alissa White-Gluz – showcase the record’s extensive variety and that there’s something unexpected lurking all throughout. This is further evident on songs like the soulful blues-rock ballad “Angel of Light” featuring the compelling voice of Myrkur, or insanely dynamic, uptempo outburst of “Got Your Tongue” feat. Chris Georgiadis (Turbowolf). After the enticing debut Songs of Love And Death (2017), followed by sophomore release New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol.1, its sequel once again mirrors Nergal in a completely different light and provides a tremendous contrast to the extreme metal sounds of Behemoth.

Finnish metal band DELTREM has released new single “Carnal Delight” featuring guitar player Mikko Salovaara (Kiuas, Leverage, Metal De Facto) and singer Nea Pitkänen.
The band backgrounds the release: “With the first glance of Carnal Delight is about a fucked up diet. Everyone can interpret symbolic meaning themselves but personally for me its about the death of love in this world filled with vanity and tempations”
Hard rock band ARTIFAS released the official music video for their new single “CUT ME OUT”! The single is from their forthcoming album titled Reflections due out November 19, 2021.
“Cut Me Out is about cutting toxic people out of your life. Sometimes the most toxic people around you are the ones that are not so easily removed. At some point you have to stand up and say enough is enough, cut me out. The artwork for this record is all about reflection. Whether it’s someone in a dark place reflecting the poor decisions made, or whether someone is reflecting the beauty of the world on front of them” says the band.
American Hard Rock band Artifas was formed in 2011 in Jackson, TN by lead guitarist Cody Criswell and lead vocalist Scottie Somerville. In the months following, the two founders of the group would immediately recruit an assortment of hometown musicians and begin looking to record their debut EP. After having a long and ugly encounter that resulted in the theft of all the bands funds and receiving no album in return, the original incarnation of the group would spend 2012-2013 doing several independent tours and writing music. After debuting with their EP Enemy Inside in 2013 and doing numerous regional/national tours in support of it, the band replaced former members with guitarist Mikey Miller, bassist Anthony Mattox, and drummer Jared Wainscott.
With almost two years of touring with the new lineup under their belts, Artifas inked themselves a record deal and hit the studio to make their first full length album. The 2015 release of the title track, “Inhuman,” would bring the band some commercial success, reaching # 32 on Billboard’s Active Rock chart and sending the band on the road in support of their new album. The band landed tours with established artists like Theory of a Deadman, Shamans Harvest, Pop Evil, Saint Asonia, Aranda, and others. The follow up single from that record, “Blood 4 Blood”, would later get picked up by the World Series of Fighting and subsequently land a feature in the UFC movie “Fight Valley”. The band parted ways with their record label in 2016, and remained on tour throughout the US for most of the following year, also traveling internationally for the first time with the likes of Papa Roach, Hoobastank, P.O.D., Trapt, and Sick Puppies to play for our American Troops.
Multiple tour cycles later, Artifas found themselves back in the studio making new music. The band worked with multiple writers and producers throughout the entirety of 2018, but would ultimately only find themselves frustrated with the recordings that resulted. After a soul search within the group, Artifas elected to embrace their own vision and write/produce their next album independently, free from the creative overreach of outside influence.
After two years of writing, recording, and mixing, Artifas has completed the new album, and plans to unleash it upon the world. With catchy guitar riffs, dizzying drums, and soaring melodies, Reflections will send you on an emotional journey, exploring the band’s semi-prog, radio rock sound while diving deeper into the human complex with lyrics centered around self awareness and the bands own struggles with mental health. The goal for the creation of this album was to make a record that met the band’s expectations and you can rest assured they held nothing back. Mixed and Mastered by Forrester Savell (Twelve Foot Ninja, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus), Reflections promises to wow you with musical prowess, all the while delivering Artifas’ important message on unity, inspiration, and the sempiternal battle between dark and light.
Staying true to the promise they made their fans, Artifas has been on hiatus since their last show in October 2019, working, learning, and preparing for the release of their new album and the beginning of a new chapter in the ArtiStory.
Austrian hardcore/groove metallers CROWDOWN have signed a deal with Sliptrick Records.
CROWDOWN are the latest hardcore/groovemetal export from Austria. Founded in 2020, they aim to create a depth of sound that will reduce any mosh pit to dust. The music that Crowdown present is raw and unflinchingly brutal with every shout and thrash of guitar encapsulating the dark side of human emotions that weave together a story of rage, loss and despair.
The band started writing their first demo, This Is Fucking Crow’s Land, which immediately landed them a deal with Sliptrick Records. Following the signing, Crowdown began their first 7 track Maxi-EP Horizon. Crowdown’s blend of hardcore and metal has created an EP with unrelenting energy characterised by destructive breakdowns and aggressive vocals. But, despite the undercurrent of rage that simmers to a boil in each song, Horizon is still heavily rooted within the hardcore genre.
Watch out for more news on the worldwide release of Horizon on CD and Digital soon!
Harrisburg, PA based Heavy Rockers ETERNAL FREQUENCY have released the official music video for their cover of the 1990 NINE INCH NAILS critical and fan favorite Industrial Rock classic, “Head Like a Hole.” A faithful rendition of the 1990 hit single, the band balances the inherent rage of the original with front-woman Emelle Elizabeth’s soaring vocals, resulting in a refreshed anti-anthem that continues to ring relevant in today’s society.
“We’ve always known we had a pretty singer, now our singer has become the Pretty Hate Machine (haha). In all seriousness, it definitely takes some balls to cover a Nine Inch Nails song, but we think that we did it justice and we hope our fans agree. We try to pride ourselves on creating sonically stimulating material with layers and depth. That is exactly why it felt necessary to showcase our interpretation of some of Trent Reznor’s finest work to date.”” – ETERNAL FREQUENCY
Eternal Frequency is a five piece, female fronted hard rock band based out of Central Pennsylvania. Blending influences of Metalcore, Hard rock, and Active Rock, Eternal Frequency brings a new energy that is also dominated by vocalist, songwriter, and frontwoman Emelle. In just under three years as a band they have released several studio singles as well as music videos including “Temptations”, “Parasite”, “What Are We Waiting For”, and their version of Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” (all proceeds going to NIVA – National Independent Venue Association) to the masses and have been reaping nothing but positive energy and reviews from their supporters. They have accrued a massively strong following in the Pennsylvania area and have garnered attention in multiple regional markets.
They are currently managed by John Phillips of 900 Management (Body Count, Another Day Dawns, and TM for Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy, and formerly Breaking Benjamin) and record with multi Grammy nominated producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak of Atrium Audio (From Ashes to New, August Burns Red).
The band has shared the stage with established artists such as Of Mice & Men, Adelitas Way, Smile Empty Soul, Vixen, and Sponge. They also took home the award for Best New Artist at the 2019 Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame Awards and had the pleasure to honor Halestorm (Inductees) with their rendition of “Familiar Taste of Poison” at the 2020 CPMA’s. In addition EF was nominated for Best Hard Rock Band and Song of the Year.
