In regards to the new alive album “We played Sweden Rock and it was the first time we performed the Triumph and Agony in it’s entirety and the first time was the most magical one. On the Live Cd it is a also mixture of Sweden and Spain. There is also a Blu Ray that comes with it of our performance at Sweden Rock and also a nice documentary which is about 90 minutes long. I think it’s very cool even especially for die hard fans. I even put some bootlegs in it like some snippets with our tour with Megadeth in 1988 as well as other videos too.”
When asked about the Lemmy ashes she was sent “There was a beautiful letter that was came with this package, I was so blown away. His ashes is in a bullet and it says Lemmy. I loved him so much.”
Touring with Lee Arron and Lita Ford as the Three Metal Queens tour “Yes I am interested in that it would be awesome. I recently did something nice with Lita Ford in the Studio and it will be on her upcoming record eventually
DORO Pesch of Warlock will celebrate the 35th anniversary of her hit album Triumph And Agony with the release of the spectacular live album Triumph And Agony Live.
On October 15th, HATE will release their new album, Rugia, via Metal Blade Records. For a first preview of the record, the title track can now be heard at: metalblade.com/hate – where Rugia can also be pre-ordered in various formats.
No one combines death and black metal quite like Poland’s Hate. With unflinching viciousness and a sense of atmosphere unique to the band, on Rugia, their twelfth full-length, they push the boundaries of their craft even further. “It was clear to me that it should build upon and evolve from our previous record, ‘Auric Gates Of Veles’ (2019), both musically and lyrically. However, every Hate record stands as a separate journey, and never twice to the same place. You never know exactly where it will lead you,” states vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, who has led the band since 1991. Fresh blood in the band’s line-up also helped contribute to Rugia‘s unique sound. Pavulon (drums), who had played with the band since 2014, was forced to step down from the band due to serious health issues. The band tapped Nar-Sil (Neolith, Virgin Snatch, Embrional) to take his place. “Working with a new drummer this time around was a fascinating experience for me. Nar-Sil’s technique and presence are quite different from Pavulon’s, and that definitely comes across. I believe we managed to construct a refreshing new chapter to our discography, composing nine truly sinister onslaughts of pure rage.”
The band elected to once again track the album in the Hertz Recording Studio in Poland, and it was recorded, mixed and mastered by the Wiesłaski Brothers (Behemoth, Decapitated). Everything was laid down over about two to three weeks, with longtime collaborator Michał Staczkun providing the ambient elements of the band’s sound. The only struggle came about at the mixing stage, where the final character of the record emerges. “Here we encountered many problems, contradictory visions too. The producers had their own idea for the overall sound, which differed from what I had in mind, so we were trying to find a good compromise and it took us a few months.” Given how strongly the personality of the record shines through, it is safe to say that the compromise reached was definitely in its best interest, standing as perhaps the best sounding record in the band’s long career. Hate is also celebrating thirty years of activity with Rugia, Sinner affirming he is as driven as ever. “Well, the fire is still burning! I’m proud that I have built a band with such strong energy, that’s lasted for a long time in spite of numerous line-up changes and obstacles in our way. We are still here and we create with ever growing consciousness and dedication. The energy speaks through us. Honestly, I think of the band as something much bigger and more profound than the individual people involved in it over any given period of time. I believe we create a channel for energies that surpass us.”

Metal duo NITROVERTS hit the ground running with their red-hot new single, “Starting Point“. This aptly titled track is the beginning of a series of singles from the band, fusing modern metal and electronics behind a riveting vocal style for one of the most electrifying new projects of 2021. “Starting Point” is part of the all-original FiXT: Radium anthology and is out now on all platforms from independent electronic rock label FiXT.
“As for “Starting point” it’s a great track that represents all bright sides of the project- energy, drive, mixture of different styles, heavy riffs, and a high octane vocal. As for lyrics, the starting point is a philosophical song about searching for yourself and struggle when you need to start again from zero.” – Nitroverts
What do you get when you cross the classic rock/electronic ’80s vibe of Ars Nikonov’s Fury Weekend project with the impassioned, versatile, and high-octane vocals of Yann Zhanchak? You get Nitroverts, a hybrid electronic rock / nu-metal fusion collaboration between two Belarusian artists at the top of their game. Electro-Metal duo Nitroverts make their debut appearance on the FiXT label, hitting the ground running with their brand new single, “Starting Point.” This aptly titled track is the beginning of a series of singles from the band, fusing modern metal and electronics. The group’s riveting vocals are courtesy of Yann Zhanchak, while guitars, electronic programming, mixing, and production are delivered by Ars NIkonov, known for his successful retro synth project Fury Weekend.
Ukrainian WWI experts 1914 continue to reflect the gruesome tales of World War I, its soldiers’ fate, their death, fear and feats to be never forgotten, and unleash their new opus, Where Fear and Weapons Meet, out October 22, 2021 via Napalm Records.
Its eleven tracks of pure historic harshness follow up to the band’s sophomore full-length, The Blind Leading the Blind (2018), and debut, Eschatology of War (2015), both highly acclaimed amongst critics, and create a sophisticated variety of massively brutal blackened death metal accented by dramatic and realistic audio soundscapes and disquieting melodies spiced with the approach of sludge and doom!
Massive first single “…And a Cross Now Marks His Place” already marks an absolute highlight, as this stamping outburst features none other than Paradise Lost icon Nick Holmes, whose pervasive delivery matches with 1914’s mastermind Hptm. Ditmar Kumarberg’s (9. Westpreußisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 176) vocal harshness.
Hptm. Ditmar Kumarberg on the first song: “The story behind “…And A Cross Now Marks His Place” totally captured me: This is the real letter, handwritten by the British officer to the mother of a soldier who died in action. This was not a standard form sent in thousands, but more like a personal message. He describes the way her son died, tells words of consolation, and emphasizes how the Crown is proud of him, another victim of the massacre between Empires.“
Watch the bone-shaking lyric video for “…And a Cross Now Marks His Place”HERE:
1914 break into their third offering with the intro “War In”, summed up by final “War Out”, and immediately build a common thread to the previous records. “War In” is the original of the most famous Serbian song of the Great War period, “Tamo Daleko”. Like World War I, the album begins in Serbia and continues on the first track from the prospective of Gavrilo Princip, who assassinated Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife on June 28, 1914 in Sarajevo and caused the outbreak of World War I.
What happens next is an intense, in-depth analysis of historical events, for example – Battle of Vimy Ridge, shameful pages of the British Empire history in the track “Coward” featuring Sasha Boole (Me And That Man), The Battle of Messines on “Pillars of Fire” or the infantry regiment, the Harlem Hellfighters, on “Don’t Tread On Me”. Authentic forces like ambient sonic war samplings transport these stories even further into the present and make Where Fear and Weapons Meet another heavily intense and deep-reaching output that will grant 1914 even higher appreciation than the five-piece is already credited with.
1914 on the album: “Where Fear and Weapons Meet continues the theme we started on The Blind Leading the Blind – with one major difference: these are the stories about hope where most of our characters are staying alive, becoming heroes, and returning back to their homes. Yes, it is still about fear, death, and senselessness of war, but the hope is the only thing the soldier holds on to. And a good portion of luck as well. Even the album cover reflects this – the man lays wounded, bleeding in the trench, reaching his hand to Death begging for relieve, and Death declines to take him. He deserves to live.
The album starts with the assassination in Sarajevo, leads you through the bloodiest moments of the Great War, and ends up with the monologue on a grave of a young man killed in his first battle. This time we did have even more hard digging into the historical background while making the tracks. We are not singing the songs, we are telling the stories!”

With their new CD/Blu-Ray Live Attackout for just under a week, thunderous German thrashers DESTRUCTION prove themselves to still be one of the most relentless groups in metal right now – even after almost 40 years of band history – not planning on stepping off the gas any time soon! Today, DESTRUCTION reveals their new single and video “State Of Apathy”, giving fans a taste of what’s to come from the quartet after recently signing to Napalm Records!
Featuring legendary SCHMIER on vocals/bass, DESTRUCTION releases an absolute thrash banger with “State Of Apathy”! With tight guitar riffs and unmistakable vocals, DESTRUCTION once again showcases how they have earned their spot in the world’s elite of thrash metal, reaching #26 on the German album charts with their latest album, Born To Perish. Bone-crushingly dynamic drums kick off the song – leaving no neck unbroken. DESTRUCTION delivers thrash metal to the fullest!
This is also the first appearance of new guitarist Martin Furia, who joins DESTRUCTION on guitars and is also known for his work as sound engineer and producer for NERVOSA, EVIL INVADERS and many more!
DESTRUCTION’s SCHMIER about the new single “State Of Apathy”: “The last two years have been testing times for all of us. We are all sad to announce that Mike has left DESTRUCTION. It all was a shock and hit us hard but nevertheless there was never any doubt that we will continue as a band. We are a strong unit and are proud to welcome our new guitarist, Martin Furia, to the band! Our chemistry is great since Martin has been a part of the DESTRUCTION family for many years now. He is the perfect new man on the axe – the first shows have been a fucking blast!
‘State Of Apathy’ shows the direction DESTRUCTION will go with the new record: more ‘back-to-the-roots’, more guitars, more in your face! This band is my life and we will always give 100% to keep the spirit alive. I hope you love the new single as much as we do – thanks for all the support! We are wishing Mike the best for his future, for us there is only one way to go THRASH TILL DEATH!”
Ex-Guitarist Mike about parting ways with DESTRUCTION: “It´s hard to leave a band after 39 years. Destruction is my life and something like my baby. But somtimes you have to take desicions that hurt. I´m very sad at the moment, but if something doesn´t feel right anymore, better stop doing it. Thanx to all former bandmates. I´m very proud about the music we have created together. Cheers to all thrashers out there. Without your support and your passion, Destruction would not exist. Peace.”
Martin Furia – Guitars (DESTRUCTION)
DESTRUCTION’s new guitarist, Martin Furia, on joining the band: “The news is finally out and I have mixed emotions. I’m extremely proud to be part of this legendary band since 2016 as sound technician and tour manager, I’ve been all over the world with the DESTRUCTION family and they have always treated me like another member of the band.
I’m sad to see Mike go because I love him and respect him as a person and guitarist, but when I was asked if I would like to be the new guitarist of DESTRUCTION I didn’t hesitate for a second. I feel ready to honor Mike’s legacy, to add my own touch and I will give my best to keep the flame of DESTRUCTION burning strong forever, with deep respect and devotion for the past and with full energy and commitment for the future. THRASH TILL DEATH!“
“State Of Apathy” is available as a digital single, as well as on limited 12” slipcase vinyl together with a live-version of “Sign Of Fear” from Live Attack, with etching in neon green or purple on the B-side.”
