LOCH VOSTOK Release New Video “Enter the Resistance”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 30, 2021

New video “Enter the Resistance” from Sweden’s progressive metal veterans LOCH VOSTOK. The son is taken from the new album “Opus Ferox – The Great Escape” that is released today.

“Enter the Resistance” is telling the story of the revolution against the Papacy, the new world order that has risen after the catastrophe that has plagued the earth in the Opus Ferox storyline. Featuring Swedish author Jan Guillou in a small role.

Loch Vostok was born out of the ashes of Mayadome in the year 2000, from the fractured mind of Teddy Möller. Loch Vostok is where anything goes. Where cheese meets grind. Where speed meets groove. This year marks the 20th year anniversary for the band, and with that some changes are introduced. Leaving the lead vocal duties, to focus on guitars and growl, Teddy passes the baton over to Jonas Radehorn.

Jonas Radehorn has been the singer of various genres in ands since age 15. The Citadel, Falling Down and as a Rob Halford soundalike in the fantastic Judas Priest tribute band ”Metal Gods – Delivering the goods” (featuring ex Dark Funeral drummer Nils Dominator Fjellström). Professional studio and show singer since 2000.

With this new solid lineup, Jonas as the lead singer and new bass player Patrik Janson, Loch Vostok is entering a new era, with new energy. An era with new songs and possibilities. An era with epic three part harmonies between Jonas, Teddy and Niklas. The same kind of heavy songs, mixed with strong melodic parts as before. But with a stronger focus. More determination. And a live show to count on.

Among the members of Loch Vostok you will find musicians from a great number of active (and countless inactive) bands. Ranging from Carnal Forge, One Hour Hell and F.K.Ü, to The Murder of My Sweet, Manticora and Anima Morte (and many more).

Lineup
Jonas Radehorn – Lead Vocals
Teddy Möller – Guitars and Vocals
Niklas Kupper – Guitars
Patrik Janson – Bass
Lawrence Dinamarca – Drums
Fredrik Klingwall – Keyboards

AETHER REALM Reveal Gripping New “Cycle” Music Video

North Carolina’s AETHER REALM reached new levels of melodic death metal mastery with the release of their latest full-length album, Redneck Vikings From Hell, in 2020. Today, in anticipation of their upcoming U.S. tour with Unleash The Archers and Seven Kingdoms, the band has unveiled a gripping, emotive new video for their triumphant track “Cycle”, featuring Michael Rumple (Flood District, Lorelei), off of Redneck Vikings From Hell.

Frontman/bassist Vincent “Jake” Jones says:
“The lyrics for ‘Cycle’ came to me in a desperate place. I was trying to make sense of why I still experienced these long episodes of depression, even when there didn’t seem to be an obvious reason for it to come on. It’s like it was always waiting to sneak up and snatch me out of the moment, and no amount of personal growth or skill mastery or artistic recognition could prevent it from taking me in it’s grip.

So I thought – if I can’t prevent the feeling from coming on, I can at least give myself a tangible reminder that this is normal for me. That I’ve made it out of low places before, and I will again. This song helps keep my feet on the ground when I’m feeling cocky highs, and it gives me some hope when I’m running low. It was a pleasure to turn that emotional blooming and wilting that we all experience from time to time into a visual aesthetic with Jaraad Nageer and Ana Manso.”

To celebrate the 35th discographic anniversary of the Band and the forthcoming 40th since its formation, Music for the Masses has the honour to announce the agreement with legendary Italian metallers SKANNERS for the release of their first Greatest Hits which goes through the Band’s whole career.

Skanners are with no doubt one of the most important and representative bands of Italian Heavy Metal, one of the few deserving the definition of “Legendary”. Kicking off back in 1982 and debuting in 1986 with “Dirty Armada”, released for a Major Label, the then very active CGD, which also released the following “Pictures of War” in 1988, the Band has ever since kept up its identity and dignity, always far from trend-following and staying true to its Metal Belief, supported by great composition and talent, together with Claudio Pisoni’s voice. These have always been the trademarks of the Band.

The Greatest hits, produced by Music for the Masses is scheduled for release on October 22nd on cd format and features 16 tracks drawn from the entire rich Band’s repertoire, tracing an actual musical biography which will satisfy die hard fans but will also be able to attract new listeners to their musical craft.

And, for this special release, a new, unreleased song entitled “Under the Grave” will be on the album.

The album will be distributed by Egea Music (Italy), Code 7 (Europe), Sleaszy Rider Records (USA), Wormholedeath Japan and Music for the Masses Distro. In addition, it will be available on all digital platforms.

TRACKLIST:
1   TV SHOCK (Dirty Armada)
2   ROCK ROCK CITY (Dirty Armada)
3   STARLIGHT (Dirty Armada)
4   PICTURES OF WAR (Pictures of War)
5   TURN IT LOUDER NOW (Pictures of War)
6   WILD (Pictures of War)
7   UNDERTAKER (The Magic Square)
8   METAL PARTY (The Magic Square)
9   FLAGELLUM DEI (Flagellum Dei)
10 TIME OF WAR (Flagellum Dei)

12 WELCOME TO HELL (Serial Healer)
13 FACTORY OF STEEL (Factory of Steel)
14 HARD AND PURE (Factory of Steel)

SPACE OF VARIATIONS Release Gut-Punching New Single “Ultrabeat”

Following up to the release of their Napalm Records debut EP XXXXX in 2019, Ukranian metalcore unit SPACE OF VARIATIONS is finally back with a bang, releasing their new single „ULTRABEAT“ today, along with an impressive dystopian music video!

Seamlessly mixing gut-punching riffs and pounding drums with colorful, pulsing synths and elements of hip-hop, the four-piece takes no prisoners from the second the song starts. Dmytro Kozhukhar’s vocals cut through the dense instrumental ever so clear with angry, bold lyrics – reminiscent of legends like BODY COUNT and HATEBREED, as guitarist and singer Olexii Zatserkovnyi then delivers the melodic hook, giving “ULTRABEAT” its unique post-hardcore feel. Finishing off with an insane verse from Ukranian rap sensation alyona alyona, SPACE OF VARIATIONS embodies the spirit of breaking down genres and letting the music speak for itself!

Watch the music video for “ULTRABEAT” (feat. alyona alyona) HERE:

SPACE OF VARIATIONS about the making of “ULTRABEAT”:
“We wanted to do something special, different and unexpected on the new record.  We wanted to expand the limits of our songwriting and creativity and do the same for the listener… That’s when the idea of a collaboration with Ukrainian hip-hop queen alyona alyona was born. She liked the idea of seeing herself in a new, “heavy metal” way, and so alyona alyona became the first artist featured on a track with us. We are so proud with the result!”

„ULTRABEAT“ is an exciting glimpse into what can be expected from the next full-length album from SPACE OF VARIATIONS, which the band is currently working on!

HORISONT Release Cover Version of “Lion and the Lamb”

Sweden’s HORISONT used their downtime to record two new songs. After releasing “Sheldon Churchyard” (originally by Larry Jon Wilson) the band just made a cover of another obscure gem available on all DSPs: “With a genius melody and a voice that cuts through the mix. A song about the cruel, raw nature of a love affair gone wrong. ‘Lion and the Lamb’ is originally by Phil Everly.”

You can listen to the song here: https://horisont.lnk.to/LionAndTheLamb-Single

While you’re online don’t miss your chance to check out “Sheldon Churchyard” and the fantastic video that you find here: https://youtu.be/8R0Ro21ZoeI

The band comments on the idea of the recordings: “As big fans of country music we wanted to do a couple of songs that people might not expect from us. Still, we wanted them to sound like Horisont. So we set up at Let Them Swing Studio and hit the record button just to see where the songs took us. This is the result. Let Them Swing Studio is a recording studio in the countryside outside of Gothenburg, Sweden, owned and run by Kim and Malin. They rebuilt an old barn on their property and set it up for live recording. With no neighbors in sight, it’s an ideal place to make noise 24-7. A weekend mixed of relaxed creativity and fun.”

Both songs are not part of HORISONT’s acclaimed album “Sudden Death” that was released in May of 2020.
