25 years – highs and lows! The Swiss Hardrock institution SHAKRA celebrate their jubilee with the new album “Mad World”.

After their last release “Mad World”, a year and a half ago, the quintet is back – and presenting their latest single “Break the Ice”.

Singer Mark Fox describes the new masterpiece as a cool mid-tempo stamp including catchy guitar riffs, mythical verses and hymn-like melodious chorus. Mark Fox makes clear: „“Break The Ice “is already a blast that should not be missing at any concert or playlist. Not only a must for every SHAKRA fan but also for every lover of good, down-to-earth hard rock! “

“Catch Me If You Can” picks up the pace and builds on the momentum created by HARDCORE SUPERSTAR‘s highly successful 2018 release “You Can’t Kill My Rock N’ Roll” that saw the band travel across the globe from America to Australia playing to some of the largest audiences of their career and including an unforgettable night where they broke the attendance record for a headline act on the opening night of the world famous Sweden Rock Festival.

Loud, aggressive and totally unrelenting, “Catch Me If You Can” bursts out the speakers with an onslaught of attitude combined with a pounding backbeat and a chorus that hits like a freight train, setting the tone perfectly for the bands upcoming album “Abrakadabra” that is scheduled for release in March 2022.

Recorded at both Österlyckan and Bombastik in Musikens Hus in Gothenburg, the band returned to their roots to work with acclaimed producer Johan Reiven, who they previously collaborated with on their 2005 “Black Album”. The result is an intense and hard-hitting collection of songs that drummer Adde Moon describes as a “natural follow up to the Black album” and definitely “an album for the fans that is best shared with good friends, cold beer and very loud speakers”

FORE Release Video for Punk Version of “Man In The Box”

Formed in 2020, FORE stomped into the seemingly-silent punk scene with their debut album “Hombres”.  Consisting of current and former members of KREATOR, VENOM INC, INHUMAN CONDITION, THE ABSENCE, and OLD JAMES, the quartet proved that punk rock is very much not dead.  In June, we saw the release of the band’s new single, “Repeated Subtraction”, tackling political and social issues with the lyrics and accompanying music video.  Today, we see the band’s lighter side take over with a fun-loving cover of the ALICE IN CHAINS classic, “Man In The Box”, with a video of…well, Men In Boxes!

View “Man in the Box” here.

The video was cut by drummer Jeramie Kling, and features vocalist Brian “The Canadian Glenn Hughes” Stephenson portraying the whole band.  The music production for “Man In The Box” was done at Kling/Nordberg’s own Smoke & Mirrors Production, where it was mixed by Kling and mastered by Nordberg.

RESTIVE NATION Release Video for New Single ‘Revolt/Reanimate’

Ireland’s RESTIVE NATION continues to break their creative mould with the stomping new high-energy single, ‘Revolt/Reanimate’.

Restive Nation continue their exploration into their collective sonic hive with ‘Revolt/Reanimate’, a punk-infused, electro-banger, that draws influence from The Prodigy, Killing Joke & Nine Inch Nails.

Featuring three vocalists, the track encapsulates exactly what Restive Nation are all about. The song resembles the rebirth of the band as a six-piece, and is an embodiment of their electronic roots as a group. Speaking of the track, the band commented:
“The main vocal idea was written by Tony [Carberry, vocals] and is a homage to his love affair with the undead and zombie movies. The Theme is straight to the point; pissed off and frustrated with everyday life.”

‘Revolt/Reanimate’ is the first release from the forthcoming self-titled album from Restive Nation, which is due for release in Spring 2022.
