After releasing five singles to enormous critical acclaim resulting in over 1,6 million Spotify streams, numerous sold out shows and in excess of 400 000 views on YouTube, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR have now unleashed their highly anticipated new album Abrakadabra. Already hailed as a contender for album of the year by numerous magazines and reviewers, this is uncomplicated, Rock N’ Roll escapism and entertainment at its best!
Building on the momentum and huge success of their 2018 album “You Can’t Kill My Rock N’ Roll” the band were inspired and enthusiastically started writing songs for Abrakadabra whilst still out on tour. Connecting with so many fans, old and new helped to influence the shape and sound of the new record and the decision was made early on to once again work with Johan Reiven, who was responsible for production duties on the bands ‘Black Album’. Adde states:
“Working with Johan was like stepping back in time, there’s a shared intensity and commitment to excel that collectively drives us and ultimately brings out the best in us all… this feels like the record we should have released after the Black album”
The result is an album containing 10 hard hitting songs exploding with riffs, attitude, intensity and that magical feeling you get when work is over and the weekend is here. This is an album for the fans and best shared with great friends, cold beers and very loud speakers!!

How do you follow up the runaway success of 4 singles that have already exceeded well over 1 million plays on Spotify alone.… Maybe it’s time to release a ballad?
However, if you know HARDCORE SUPERSTAR then you know that they’re not going to conform to any stereotypical expectations of what a ballad or slower song should sound like. In an age ruled by influencers and haters projecting false interpretations of reality, “Fighter” is a song of positivity and self-recognition; encouraging the listener to define their own destiny rather than listening to those who want to hold you back, throwing shade on your dreams.
Starting off with an intricate 12 string introduction before vocalist Jocke Berg weaves a story of initial self-doubt that evolves into an unstoppable drive and commitment to achieving your goals, “Fighter” is in many ways semi-autobiographical for HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, charting the defiance and drive that has seen them evolve and succeed where many of their contemporaries have fallen. This rebellious confidence sets the tone perfectly for the release of their new album “ABRAKADABRA” on March 25th and gives a clear indication of how the band are setting out to make 2022 their biggest and best yet! On top of all this the bands arena rock anthem “You Can’t Kill My Rock n Roll” from 2018 was featured in the season finale of DC’s highly popular series “Peacemaker” and landed a spot on James Gunn’s playlist for the show.
2021 has been a fantastic year for HARDCORE SUPERSTAR with three singles released to critical acclaim, surpassing over 750,000 Spotify plays and 250,000 YouTube plays as well as the band playing sold out shows all across Sweden!
With 2022 now upon us, the band are building on this phenomenal success by kicking off the New Year with the release of their new single “Forever And A Day”, a stomping, attitude laden anthem about standing up for yourself and everything you believe in, that is destined to be both a live classic and an instant fan favourite!
There are many highlights on the horizon for HARDCORE SUPERSTAR in 2022, with a world tour being booked along with numerous festival appearances, including a return to the prestigious SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL… and let’s not forget the release of their highly anticipated new album “ABRAKADABRA” in March.
2022 is destined to be the year of HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, Catch Them If You Can!!!
The success and acclaim of “You Can’t Kill My Rock N’ Roll” inspired HARDCORE SUPERSTAR significantly and writing for the next record enthusiastically started whilst out on tour. Connecting with so many fans, old and new has helped to influence the shape and sound of the new record, with Adde commenting that the new album:
“Feels like the record we should have released after the Black album”
The new album “Abrakadabra” will be released worldwide March 25th 2022, containing 10 hard hitting songs exploding with riffs, attitude, intensity and that magical feeling you get when work is over and the weekend is here. This is an album for the fans and best shared with great friends, cold beers and very loud speakers!!
Recorded in 2020 and early 2021 at both Österlyckan and Bombastik in Musikens Hus – Gothenburg, the decision was made early on to once again work with Johan Reiven, who was responsible for production duties on the bands “Black Album”. Adde states:
“Working with Johan was like stepping back in time, there’s a shared intensity and commitment to excel that collectively drives us and ultimately brings out the best in us all… I am 100% happy with the result”.
This shared intensity can be heard on every one of the tracks from the defiantly rebellious “Dreams In Red” through to the bar soaked philosophy of “One For All” and the thundering powerhouse that is “Catch Me If You Can”.
Abrakadabra is uncomplicated, Rock N’ Roll escapism and entertainment at its best… sprinkled with a little bit of magic for good measure.

“Weep When You Die” is the alcohol soaked, anthemic new single from Gothenburg’s leading exponents of Street Metal; HARDCORE SUPERSTAR!
Rejoicing in the enormous success and critical acclaim of their first two singles “Catch Me if You Can” and “Dreams in Red”, “Weep When You Die” is a booze soaked anthem described by the bands drummer ‘Adde’ as:
“Just another night at your local watering hole”
Evoking images of a smoke filled saloon, populated by rogues, outcasts and undesirables on the edge of society, “Weep When You Die” shrouds the listener with a hymn like opening before crashing into a pounding rhythm driven by Adde in harmony with bassist Martin Sandvik. Elevating the mood and creating the perfect platform for singer Jocke Berg to deliver his sermon urging people to “live for today” as guitarist Vic Zino conjures up the perfect balance of melody, riffs and scything lead work.
“Weep When You Die” is the third single from the bands highly anticipated new album “ABRAKADABRA” that is scheduled for release in March 2022.
