The lyrics “[…] Say it’s over now […]” really capture the that desperate desire in a captivating way. “It’s emphasizing the wish for someone to take control and pull you out of your own head. More and more you’re realizing though, that the only person capable of changing things is yourself, so you decide to not go down without a fight.” – Christopher Danner (Frontmann)
In the video the band is shown talking through all the different business aspects of the music industry like maximizing profits, marketing finances or finding the right image. Further down the line the band tries to fit into different sub-genres of metal just to make Torrential Rain stand out. Only to lose what made them special in the first place along the way.

YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and Music Theories Recordings / Mascot Label Group will release the new studio album titled PARABELLUM on July 23. The album will be available on CD, Red Tranparent LP and digital.
Watch the video for ‘(Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum’ here:
Yngwie Malmsteen: “(Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum is a piece of great difficulty. Drawing inspiration from Paganini’s 4 octave arpeggios it is very satisfying to apply this extremely challenging violin technique to my own composition. Starting in B harmonic minor, it transposes to D natural major and then into F# Phrygian. It is a natural flow within the chord progression of relative keys and modes. It was very challenging and exciting to perform this piece and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”
The album title ‘Parabellum’ is Latin, translating as ‘Prepare For War’. “There’s a track on the album called ‘(Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum’. This translates as ‘If you want peace, then prepare for war’. He offers, “It was a last minute decision to make this the album title. But I think it fits very well.”
World-renowned guitarist/songwriter Mark Tremonti is back with his fifth album from his solo band, TREMONTI. The new album, entitled Marching In Time, is scheduled for global release on September 24, 2021 via Napalm Records and is available for pre-order beginning today.
Mark Tremonti is no stranger to storytelling. Throughout his years with top-charting bands Alter Bridge and Creed, and most recently his solo band, Mark has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs. With the upcoming fifth album, Marching In Time, the band looks to continue this trend while exploring their love for heavy music, drawing from current events from the last year to form the basis of each song. While its predecessor, A Dying Machine, was an overall concept album seeped in darker sentiments and story, the vibe of Marching In Timeis different – emerging as a charging rock/metal offering that takes the listener on 12 individual journeys.
From the driving drum beat of opener “A World Away” to the epic closer “Marching In Time,” the new album is a reflective look at the world around us today. TREMONTI’s unmatched musicianship bleeds through the album, showcased on tracks like “Thrown Further,” “In One Piece” and the thought provoking “Would You Kill.” Alternatively, the band displays their softer side on pensive tracks “The Last One Of Us” and “Not Afraid to Lose.” Epic title track “Marching In Time” tells the story of a father having a child during a global pandemic and how he prepares for life during that time – something Mark Tremonti recently experienced in his own life – while upcoming single “If Not For You” shows the evolution of the TREMONTI sound in 2021.
Marching In Timewas produced by longtime friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette – the producer Mark has worked with exclusively since 2007.
Marching In Time track listing: 1. A World Away 2. Now And Forever 3. If Not For You 4. Thrown Further 5. Let That Be Us 6. The Last One Of Us 7. In One Piece 8. Under The Sun 9. Not Afraid To Lose 10. Bleak 11. Would You Kill 12. Marching In Time
TREMONTI will hit the road in advance of the release of Marching In Time, starting on September 3rd in the US with longtime friends Sevendust.
For as explosive as Mark Tremonti’s playing may be at times, he has quietly and rather unassumingly asserted himself as one of the most pure, precise and prolific guitarists, songwriters and frontmen of the modern era. With a GRAMMY® Award, recognition at #1 on Guitar World‘s “Top 20 Best Guitarists of the Decade,“ and 40 million units sold between Creed, Alter Bridge and his namesake solo band TREMONTI, he maintains a breakneck pace in terms of both studio output and live shows. Once again, he directly channels this workmanlike focus, rigid discipline, and relentless drive into TREMONTI’s fifth full-length offering, Marching In Time [Napalm Records], fusing uncompromising thrash-induced fret fireworks, wrecking ball grooves, and searing melodies all at once to present a definitive sonic statement.
Los Angeles based metalcore rockers STEREO TRAGEDY have unleashed their first single ‘A Bridge Too Far‘ taken from the upcoming self-titled debut album, coming out end of summer/early fall 2021, feat. Bjorn “Speed” Strid on all vocals.
Watch and stream ‘A Bridge Too Far’ here:
Stereo Tragedy on ‘A Bridge Too Far’: “When we wrote this song, we really wanted to bring something that was consistent with high energy that carries the listener effortlessly from beginning to end, a catchy melody that would be easy for people to sing a long to answer enjoy, and a song that the listener would want to hear “one more time” immediately after the song ended. We hope to have achieved that with this song.” Says guitarist Jacob Bibee.
When listening back to the track, roughly recorded, the idea of vocals came up, Jacob recounts. “Obviously I wasn’t going to get in the way of anything Bjorn “Speed” Strid was going to write, being that he’s the expert, so the entire album vocally is what Bjorn was hearing and made sense to him. In this first single, he brings everything from the lowest of low growls to the highest screams and awesome chorus melodies! Something else I would add is that, anyone that has been through rough times in life is going to relate to this song. Bjorns lyrics are transparent and on point.”
Thomas “Plec” Johansson, owner and producer at The Panic Room Studios, did an outstanding job mixing and mastering the entire record and you’ll feel his expertise when listening to the track.
Stereo Tragedy was birthed 4 July 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after Jacob Bibee (guitarist, former Sever Your Ties) had a conversation reminiscing of the olden days in the metal scene with James “jimbo” Thomas. Following that conversation, another conversation was had with Amanda, Jacob’s wife, and it was evident that it was time for Jacob to make his reemergence into the music world after a 15 year hiatus.
After 6 months later, after many sleepless nights in the studio and intense composition trying to hone the correct sound for the band, the pandemic hit and the music industry essentially shut down. Jacob being solution oriented, decided to find a way that this whole world meltdown could be beneficial, and that’s when it happened.
Jacob noticed the infamous Bjorn “Speed” Strid post on social media that his bands (Soilwork, Donna Cannone, The Night Flight Orchestra) would no longer be touring for the foreseeable future. Jacob knew that Bjorn had often done guest appearances for bands, but Jacob decided to push the idea of Bjorn actually doing the entire album. After hearing a few songs, Bjorn agreed to do the album as a guest appearance, not as a permanent member, as he is completely busy and in step with his many great projects.
As the project began to unfold, it was time to bring in trusted and respected members into the fold. Jacob then contacted none other than Matt Cohen (bassist, NEW LANGUAGE) and Ryan Severino (drummer, former Scars Of Tomorrow). This was a very easy decision to contact these two as Jacob and Ryan played in a band in South Orange County, CA in the early 2000s, and Matt Cohen’s old bands used to share the stage with Jacob and Ryans bands back then as well.
With the agreement of Matt and Ryan to come on board, and a complete shutdown in Jacobs business ventures due in part to Covid-19, Jacob packed his bags and headed back to his great state of California to be closer to Matt and Ryan in Southern California.
The self-titled debut album was completed in Spring of 2021 and was mixed and mastered by none other than Thomas “Plec” Johansson of The Panic Room in Sweden. The album is set to release late summer 2021.
Once the album has been released, the band will then fill and announce the members of the two remaining roles: vocalist and guitarist.
