Check out what band members, Kelly LeMieux, Stevie D. & Billy Rowe have to say about the new partnership:
Buckcherry is an American rock band from Anaheim, California, formed in 1995 who have sold over 4 million records. They unique, complex, simple, passionate, explosive, original and always a good time. From hit songs like, “Crazy Bitch” & “Sorry” to platinum and gold records and millions of fans worldwide, Buckcherry has beat the odds and built a reputation on their powerful live shows. They have toured with bands such as KISS, Guns ‘n Roses, Aerosmith,Motley Crue and more. Their ninth studio record, Hellbound is out NOW!
Graspop Metal Meeting is pleased to confirm another 22 bands for 2014 Line up: Megadeth, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Anthrax, Meshuggah, Satyricon, Gojira, Candlemass, Dark Tranquility, Suicide Silence, The Church Of Pungent Stench, Buckcherry, Thy Art Is Murder, Novembers Doom, Amenra, Of Mice & Men, In Solitude, Glorior Belli, Carach Angren, Letlive.
MEGADETH’s previous GMM show in 2012 blew everyone away. The band of singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine has a proud history and ‘Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying’, ‘Rust in Peace’ and ‘Countdown to Extinction’ are all landmark thrash albums. Mustaine has really come into his own in recent years, a fact illustrated by Megadeth’s 14th studio album ‘Super Collider’. The new kick-ass album is a worthy addition to Megadeth’s impressive catalogue and is one of 14 excellent reasons why the kings of speed metal should close the day’s proceedings on main stage 2 on Sunday 29th June.
This year, the GMM air will once again be rife with cries of SLAYER! The evil of Slayer has no boundaries and they show no mercy! These American thrash legends need no introduction because their perpetual hate offensive has been claiming souls worldwide for over thirty years now. They say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and that also goes for Slayer. The band suffered a crushing blow last year when the angel of death sent riffmeister and founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman south of heaven but in 2014 Slayer are more brutal and merciless than ever. Fuelled by a newfound rage, battering-ram drumming, screaming solos and relentless riffs, the Californian thrash machine will bring an onslaught no one can survive.
Following a number of tumultuous years at the start of the millennium, ANTHRAX rallied with the 2011 release of their best album in years, one with a title that leaves nothing to the imagination: ‘Worship Music’. Live on stage Anthrax is an indestructible force and thanks to the Big 4 shows with their brethren of Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica, Anthrax reclaimed their rightful place at the top of the thrash food chain.
The multi-talented ROB ZOMBIE started out as the frontman for White Zombie. When White Zombie disbanded, he built an impressive solo career and also made a name for himself as the director of several acclaimed horror flicks. White Zombie was mainly successful in the early ‘90s. Records like 1993’s ‘La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1’ and the platinum-certified ‘Astro-Creep: 2000’ are still as exciting today as at the time of their release. Unfortunately, the latter album also heralded the demise of the band. Rob immediately focused on a solo career and in 1998 ‘Hellbilly Deluxe’ became a smash hit. The ferocious-looking frontman continued to put out high-quality, horror-inspired records that carried his unique heavy/groovy signature, with 2013’s ‘Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor’ as the latest highlight.

Welcome To The Machine is a documentary analysis of the functionality in music business. This automatically makes the film a 100% documentary with comedy and drama, as well as 100% semi-investigative. In 12 chapters the filmmakers are trying to answer the question what the everyday work life of a music star looks like.
What do you have to consider when starting a band? What is a manager actually doing? How do music media, band contests and other promotion strategies work? But most of all: Is there a formula for success? The film gives a clear answer to that, although that is to say that there are as many formulas for success as there are artists/bands. This is clearly shown in all the interviews, which have been taken with national and international stars during the production of Welcome To The Machine.
Interviews with artists: AMORPHIS, BUCKCHERRY, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, DANKO JONES, DISTURBED, HALESTORM, HELLOWEEN, LACUNA COIL, LORDI, MEGADETH, NAZARETH, PAPA ROACH, PARADISE LOST, URIAH HEEP.

Trendsetter has issued that last Wednesday (January 16) BUCKCHERRY premiered the provocative video for “Gluttony”–the first single from their new Confessions album exclusively at AOL Music and AOL’s Noisecreep.com. The daring clip was directed by Billy Jayne and features the band performing the song in a church filled with people indulging in all types of vices, while the video’s protagonist struggles to overcome his own gluttony. Video is now up on YouTube, Check out below.
The multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band will release Confessions February 19, 2013 via Century Media Records and the “Gluttony” single is available for purchase through iTunes now.
Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd explains the inspiration for the “Gluttony” video: “The concept of the video is excess, consuming everything excessively, and moderation is not even in the equation. I’m very familiar with that, and a lot of guys in the band are familiar with that.”
He continues: “Because the record is called Confessions, we filmed the video in a church, we got Jesus down there–which is killer–and we got a lot of our fans in it, which is amazing. They came out on their own time and really put in a lot of sweat equity, so thank you to them.”
Guitarist Keith Nelson elaborates, “We worked with Billy Jayne, who hasn’t done a lot of music videos. It was really refreshing to see his take on what we’re doing because he totally gets the music, he’s connecting with it, and he’s taking it to a different place than a guy who does videos for a living. We got a guy who actually makes movies and TV shows to put his spin on it and it’s been really positive.”
“Gluttony” goes for adds at U.S. Rock radio today–with 15 stations already having added it early–and is already Top 20 in Canada, where band is currently touring. “Gluttony” is also receiving early praise from the media. Rick Florino of ArtistDirect.com said the song “shines with the kind of skittering rock decadence the world could use a whole hell of a lot more of” (December 11, 2012).
Buckcherry is currently on the road headlining North American shows and will join Kid Rock as special guests on the upcoming Rebel Soul Tour beginning February 2 in Kansas City, MO. The first leg of the tour runs through March 2 and band has also been added to the second leg of dates for trek which run from March 18 in Sioux Falls, SD through April 6 in Saginaw, MI.
While on tour, Buckcherry is previewing songs from Confessions, the band’s sixth studio album and first U.S. release for Century Media Records. Confessions merges punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks. The lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Buckcherry–Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), Xavier Muriel (drums)–are one of the premier rock bands of the new millennium, having sold more than three million records in America alone and touring virtually non-stop, playing with everyone from AC/DC to Avenged Sevenfold, touring sold-out arenas alongside Nickelback and KISS, and headlining festivals ranging from the punk rock Ink-N-Iron (also featuring the Misfits and Pennywise) to Sturgis. Radio staples “Lit Up,” “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry” have cemented the band as one of the most identifiable and sought-after bands on the radio and the live circuits.
