Gold selling rock band SONIC SYNDICATE recently released their most daring album yet. The new album “Confessions” has turned out to be a success, but it has also brought light upon the discussion about artistic freedom since the band has chosen to leave the hardest of their old metal sound behind. When creating the new album the members of the band took a deeper look into themselves and SONIC SYNDICATE lets the listener take part of their vulnerability through total uncompromising honesty in their songwriting and new rock sound.
“We’re dropping any pretension, stereotypes and expectations and we’re left with honesty, creativity and love for music by a band that is not afraid of anything. Finally we can stand up and say we have our own sound. I think this album is going to open some doors and slam others, make waves and make noise. “//Sonic Syndicate
Now SONIC SYNDICATE has a new single coming where the Venezuelan keyboardist, DJ, composer, producer and remixer Zardonic has made a remix of the song “Start A War”. Zardonic is primarily known for his heavy electronic dance music. He is dubbed as Venezuela’s top DJ act with releases peaking at #1 in Beatport’s Drum & Bass releases of the week and Amazon’s Hard Rock & Metal Bestsellers. He also has one of the Top 10 best DJ masks in the world and is featured in the game “Warlocks Vs Shadows”, making him the first Latin American musician to be ever featured as a playable character in a video game.
Zardonic has previously been working with Despotz Records and has made sucessfull remixes of songs from Unguided and Nightrage.
With the remix of “Start A War” Zardonic has brought the song to a whole different level and genre. The original song has turned out to be the most played single from the new album.
“The meaning behind “Start A War” is that we’re not going anywhere, we’re breaking out now. But it’s more than that. This is a personal message to anyone who has dared to dream and just needs that extra push which could inspire them to change their lives. It’s time to start a war!” // Sonic Syndicate
Since 2005, SONIC SYNDICATE has been pounding away at the international music scene touring Europe, North America and Asia. The new album is to be released October 14th 2016 on Despotz Records, followed by the Maximalism European tour with Amaranthe and Smash Into Pieces. The band describes their new coming album “Confessions” as a new start for SONIC SYNDICATE.
“We have CONFESSIONS to get out to the world: On October 14th we will release our brand new album CONFESSIONS and we can not think of a better way of doing it than to celebrate with our fans.
With that said, we’re excited to officially reveal that we’ll be hitting the road with Amaranthe across Europe in October / November. Amaranthe has a similar relationship to their fans, and we know that this is going to be one of the most heartfelt and intimate tours ever. Opening band, Smash Into Pieces also brings their own style. Musically we complement each other to the point that the whole evening with all shows will be an adventure for the crowd. This isn’t only going to be memorable, people will say this is how all tours should be.” /Sonic Syndicate
Vocalist Nathan J Biggs comments: “As you could imagine we are super excited to be signing to Despotz Records based here in Stockholm, Sweden, we couldn’t imagine a better place to call home. When the possibility of us working together first came up with this modern, creative & forward thinking team we pretty much had our mind set that this was where we belong. This is an exciting new chapter for both Sonic Syndicate and Despotz.”
In late June, 2016 the band entered Purple Skull Music to record their new album “CONFESSIONS” with producer Kritoffer Folin, the new album is set to be the bands most diverse and unique work to date.
Trendsetter has issued that last Wednesday (January 16) BUCKCHERRY premiered the provocative video for “Gluttony”–the first single from their new Confessions album exclusively at AOL Music and AOL’s Noisecreep.com. The daring clip was directed by Billy Jayne and features the band performing the song in a church filled with people indulging in all types of vices, while the video’s protagonist struggles to overcome his own gluttony. Video is now up on YouTube, Check out below.
The multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band will release Confessions February 19, 2013 via Century Media Records and the “Gluttony” single is available for purchase through iTunes now.
Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd explains the inspiration for the “Gluttony” video: “The concept of the video is excess, consuming everything excessively, and moderation is not even in the equation. I’m very familiar with that, and a lot of guys in the band are familiar with that.”
He continues: “Because the record is called Confessions, we filmed the video in a church, we got Jesus down there–which is killer–and we got a lot of our fans in it, which is amazing. They came out on their own time and really put in a lot of sweat equity, so thank you to them.”
Guitarist Keith Nelson elaborates, “We worked with Billy Jayne, who hasn’t done a lot of music videos. It was really refreshing to see his take on what we’re doing because he totally gets the music, he’s connecting with it, and he’s taking it to a different place than a guy who does videos for a living. We got a guy who actually makes movies and TV shows to put his spin on it and it’s been really positive.”
“Gluttony” goes for adds at U.S. Rock radio today–with 15 stations already having added it early–and is already Top 20 in Canada, where band is currently touring. “Gluttony” is also receiving early praise from the media. Rick Florino of ArtistDirect.com said the song “shines with the kind of skittering rock decadence the world could use a whole hell of a lot more of” (December 11, 2012).
Buckcherry is currently on the road headlining North American shows and will join Kid Rock as special guests on the upcoming Rebel Soul Tour beginning February 2 in Kansas City, MO. The first leg of the tour runs through March 2 and band has also been added to the second leg of dates for trek which run from March 18 in Sioux Falls, SD through April 6 in Saginaw, MI.
While on tour, Buckcherry is previewing songs from Confessions, the band’s sixth studio album and first U.S. release for Century Media Records. Confessions merges punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks. The lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

(guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), Xavier Muriel (drums)–are one of the premier rock bands of the new millennium, having sold more than three million records in America alone and touring virtually non-stop, playing with everyone from AC/DC to Avenged Sevenfold, touring sold-out arenas alongside Nickelback and KISS, and headlining festivals ranging from the punk rock Ink-N-Iron (also featuring the Misfits and Pennywise) to Sturgis.
