ASKING ALEXANDRIA Sign With Better Noise Music

Today, leading independent label and artist development company Better Noise Music signs globally acclaimed rock band ASKING ALEXANDRIA to its all-star roster. The new UK deal, announced by Better Noise President Dan Waite from the label’s U.K. office, starts this month with the band already in the studio working on new music, which is expected to be released later this year.

“Today we welcome Asking Alexandria into the Better Noise Music label, and we are thrilled to join them on the next chapter of their musical journey,” Waite said. “The fact that Asking Alexandria are from the U.K. with a worldwide audience, gives us the opportunity to deepen their strong connections with fans on both a local and international level across Better Noise Music’s global offices. As a global touring act they have over one billion cumulative streams and views, and we look forward to building on that success.”

Ben Bruce, founding member of Asking Alexandria and lead guitarist, spoke on behalf of the band in a statement, saying, “We are all extremely excited to be part of the passionate team at Better Noise Music. Over the past ten years, we’ve been so grateful to connect with fans all over the world. While we’ve concentrated particularly on our North American fanbase in the past, our goal for the future is that our music and live shows become more accessible to audiences on a global scale. That is why we jumped at the chance to sign to Better Noise. Working with the team out of the label’s UK branch gives us the opportunity to be more connected as a band to our home country, while simultaneously working with all of their international offices to reach our goals. We are all extremely proud to hail from England and getting back in touch with our roots is something that is beyond exciting to us. We are more focused, more driven and more determined than ever before. Thank you to everyone who has helped us and supported us over the years. It truly means the world to us. Here’s to the future.”

Since 2008, Asking Alexandria, formed and based in the U.K., have paved a path of their own, distilling danger and excess into an equally dangerous hybrid of stadium rock ambition, metallic energy, and electronic ecstasy. Against all odds, they achieved unprecedented success earmarked by two gold-certified singles (namely, “Final Episode (Let’s Change The Channel)” and “Not The American Average”), over a billion cumulative streams and views, and three consecutive top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200—Reckless & Relentless [2011], From Death to Destiny [2013],and The Black [2016]. In addition to headlining packed gigs on five continents, they destroyed stages alongside Guns N’ Roses, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains, and Slipknot, to name a few. Meanwhile, 2017’s self-titled Asking Alexandria spawned two of the group’s biggest singles to date: “Alone In A Room” (40 million Spotify streams) and “Into the Fire” (30 million Spotify streams).  The quintet—Ben Bruce [guitar, backing vocals], Danny Worsnop [lead vocals], James Cassells [drums], Cameron Liddell [guitar], and Sam Bettley [bass]—recently saw critical acclaim with their 2020 sixth full-length LP,Like A House On Fire. Worsnoprecently collaborated with Better Noise artist Papa Roach for their track “Broken As Me,” which appeared on the band’s Greatest Hits, Vol. 2: The Better Noise Years, released in March.

Diony Sepulveda, veteran talent executive and the band’s manager added, “Asking Alexandria accomplished a lot in their first decade, and most of it was done on instinct, guts, heart and pure drive.  But while the band is already part of the hard rock culture in America, they wanted more, especially internationally.  At a time where information and analytics play an ever-increasingly crucial role in the record business, the Better Noise team has cracked the code on obtaining key data from their digital partners, analyzing it efficiently, translating it to the artist, and utilizing it to help maximize and grow the band’s digital footprint.  So we jumped at the chance to see what their team could do to help elevate the band on a global level.  I truly cannot wait for the world to experience the results of this exciting new partnership.”

Better Noise reached a historic radio victory in 2020, when Mediabase named it the number one rock label for the third consecutive year in the U.S., and Billboardcrowned it the top mainstream rock label of the year.

Germany’s hottest and most entertaining medieval folk rockers, FEUERSCHWANZ, have prevailed against pandemic paralysis and are set to release two recent virtual live highlights under the banner Die letzte Schlacht (engl. The Final Battle), via BluRay/DVD/CD on August 6 via Napalm Records.

The bundled live offering, including extras like a special FEUERSCHWANZ-branded game of “Bingo” and a tour diary, will be available in limited Wooden Box, Mediabook, LP Gatefold and digital formats.

FEUERSCHWANZ on Die letzte Schlacht:
“We are very happy and proud to see all the live power of FEUERSCHWANZ, as well as our creative work of the pandemic period, collected as this piece of art for eternity.”

Despite the yawn-worthy barrenness of festival fields and stages, the Franconian formation has inimitably managed to capture the magic of a live concert, twice – gifting fans an entertaining adventure full of hits and a huge dose of humor.

The virtual concert, Die letzte Schlacht, was originally released in January this year, and presents an adventurous ride through the discography of FEUERSCHWANZ as well as a lovingly prepared visual framework story with the band itself as grandiose protagonists and storytellers. Topped by some great guest appearances, including Angus McFife (Gloryhammer), members of Saltatio Mortis and Patty Gurdy, this night to remember can now be experienced over and over again from the comfort of your own home. Secondly, Hauptmann Feuerschwanz and his entourage revisit their virtually released open air (11:O:A) from their last album, the chartbreaking Das Elfte Gebot (The eleventh commandment, 2020, GER #3), and deliver more than two hours of hits.

Watch the trailer below.

Featuring high quality footage, electrifying pyro, lighting effects, and above all, the unique, charismatic, tongue-in-cheek talents of the band, Die letzte Schlacht is an absolute must-have. May your drinking horns never be empty and the mead flow forever!

Canadian tech death titans BEYOND CREATION are pleased to announce a brand new signature beer in collaboration with Vox&Hops’ Brewtal North America! BEYOND CREATION‘s “ENTRE STOUT ET MIRAGE” brew will be released this summer. It is a stout with brazilian coffee and amburana with a 6% ABV and it will be crafted by the Quebec-based microbrewery Overhop Canada.

Brewtal North America is presented by IndieMerchstore, fueled by Heartbeat Hot Sauce Co. & supported by Yakima Chief Hops! Vox & Hops host Matt McGachy have paired 22 Vox&Hops Alumni with metal breweries to create unique collaborative craft beers for their bands. More information can be found HERE.

BEYOND CREATION’s ‘Algorythm’ can be streamed, downloaded, and bought HERE.

Feel the onrush of sweeping arpeggios, crushing waves of fretless bass, complex rhythmical patterns and erupting scales peppered with jazzy feeling and masterful execution under the mark of ‘Algorythm’, which names the third full-length of BEYOND CREATION.

The French part of Canada is home to a vibrant culture of technical Death Metal fostered by outstanding acts such as GORGUTS, CRYPTOPSY, MARTYR, and NEURAXIS. This illustrious family tree has produced many sprouts in the past, yet none of them are as brilliant as Quebec’s amazing scion: BEYOND CREATION!

BEYOND CREATION saw the light of day in 2005 in Montreal, Canada but it wasn’t until 2010 that the band was ready to hit the stage with their original line-up consisting of Simon Girard, Kevin Chatré, Guyot Bégin-Benoît and Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe. A year later, the band self-released their debut full-length album ‘The Aura’ (2011), which quickly became a highlight in the genre. Since then, BEYOND CREATION has been known as the progressive, innovative and exciting new metal sound of their homeland, Quebec.

In late 2012, the band had Philippe Boucher (Ex-FIRST FRAGMENT, INCADESCENSE, CHTHE’ILIST, DÉCOMBRES) take Guyot’s place on drums and things started moving at a faster pace in 2013, when they joined Season of Mist, re-releasing ‘The Aura’ and touring North America and Japan. In 2014, BEYOND CREATION released their second masterpiece ‘Earthborn Evolution‘.

After the addition of Hugo Doyon-Karout (BROUGHT BY PAIN, EQUIPOISE, CONFLUX) on bass, the band focused on touring as much as possible on the ‘Earthborn Evolution’ album cycle compiling 3 North American tours, 3 European tours, countless shows in Canada, appearances in Mexico, Colombia and Dubaï, sharing the stage with heavy weights like ARCH ENEMY, HATE ETERNAL, MISERY INDEX, DYING FETUS, PSYCROPTIC and OBSCURA. They also took part in multiple large-scale music festivals such as Hellfest (FR), 70 000 Tons of Metal (US), UK Tech-Fest, Montebello Rockfest (CA), Heavy MTL (CA) and Damnation Fest (UK).

In 2018, BEYOND CREATION recorded their highly-anticipated third album ‘Algorythm’ at The Grid Studio in home land Canada, which is set for release on October 12th, 2018. With the new album, BEYOND CREATION delivers a ferocious blend of technicality, melody, and brutality aided by fang-filled growls, which is interwoven with beautiful progressive interludes. Prepare for the lightning evolution of the progressive technical death metal revolution!

Argentinian melodic death metal solo artist PLAGUESTORM has unleashed his blistering sophomore full length record via Noble Demon. Founded by Sebastián Pastor in early 2014, on “Purifying Fire” PLAGUESTORM continues to spread his blend of sweeping melodies, heavy, dark and melancholic arrangements, while mixing the old and new Scandinavian sound of Death Metal, as if it were based on a Swedish manufacturing standard.

Following Sebastián Pastor’s critically acclaimed releases “Mother of Plagues” (2019) and “Everything’s Gone Wrong” (2015), PLAGUESTORM‘s brand new album offers “lot’s of fury and anger but also melancholy and sadness”   as Sebastián Pastor states. “The songwriting process started in early 2020. I recorded, mixed and mastered it entirely in my home studio. Regarding the lyrics, I think that this time, I have written some personal things that many people might relate to in these pandemic times.”

Award-winning South African singer-songwriter and guitarist, DAN PATLANSKY, is pleased to announce that he will embark on a 10-date UK tour in March and April 2022 to support the release of his forthcoming 10th studio album. Special guest on all shows (except Manchester) is American singer songwriter and Brian May guitar protege ARIELLE.

Tickets on sale now via www.thegigcartel.com and www.danpatlansky.com/shows

Special guest Arielle is a 21st century classic rock artist, having opened for Joe Bonamassa, Vince Gill, Eric Johnson, and Greg Allman. Arielle released her own signature guitar with Brian May Guitars in March 2021. Her ninth studio album, Analog Girl in a Digital World is out now.

This is the first tour Patlansky will undertake since his Perfection Kills UK tour in March 2018.  Since the release of his Perfection Kills, Patlansky has been constantly writing new songs for his forthcoming album released in early 2022.

“I recorded the new record mid 2019 in my hometown of Pretoria, South Africa,” says Patlansky. “I was unhappy with the result and recorded most of the album end of 2019. Covid 19 put the brakes on any touring and release options for 2020. This gave me the opportunity to really refine the album, with a rewrite of a few songs, and re-record of a few tracks in early 2021.“

Continues Patlansky, “I’ve spent the last year building up a following on my Patreon page, which is a subscription-based platform where I release weekly guitar tuition material and content.”

The massive break from normal touring life gave Patlansky the rare opportunity to work on many aspects of his music and craft, which before lockdown he would normally not have time to look at.

Says Dan, “I feel have really made big strides in my playing and singing style, as well as writing, arranging, and production that will be evident on the release of the new record in early 2022.”

On Patlansky’s forthcoming album, he played only one guitar which was my newest guitar, Masterbuilt Jason Smith Fender Strat.  “It’s a replica of my three Strats I’ve played for years,” says Patlansky. “The neck of the 62, the body of the 64, and the colour of partocaster. It’s the best sounding guitar I’ve ever owned. I’m looking forward to playing it when I tour the UK in April 2022.”

Dan’s 2018 album Perfection Kills was the follow up to 2016’s critically acclaimed Introvertigo album which was voted #1 Blues Rock Album 2016 by Blues Rock Review.

In 2015, Patlansky was nominated as one of Classic Rock Magazine’s hotly tipped new artists. His album Dear Silence Thieves received accolades and praise from the British press. He’s been voted Most Promising Male Blues Artist by Blues & Soul Magazine and was also nominated as Best International Solo Artist at the Planet Rock Radio ‘Rocks’ Awards.

JUDAS PRIEST Announce Rescheduled 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour

One of heavy metal’s all-time greats, JUDAS PRIEST, will finally get the opportunity to celebrate their 50th anniversary this year with the launch of a North American tour this fall. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature Sabaton as openers and is being fueled by the highest charting album of Priest’s career, ‘Firepower,’ which peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.

Produced by Live Nation, the North American tour – which will run throughout September (kicking off on September 8th in Reading, PA) and November (concluding on November 5th in Hamilton, Ontario), will feature a variety of special effects, which will undoubtedly enhance the might of Priest’s metal.

Tickets for the newly announced dates will go on sale beginning this Friday, June 11th at 10am local time at http://Ticketmaster.com

Tickets for the previously announced tour dates are available now.

“Defending the heavy metal faith for fifty years, the Priest is back!” – Rob Halford

“Time to don the leather and studs and roll out the Priest Machine – celebrating our 50 Heavy Metal Years!!” – Glenn Tipton

“After the horrific year of restrictions we’ve all had to endure, what better place to break free, than the land of the free – the USA!” – Ian Hill

Judas Priest originally formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England (an area that many feel birthed heavy metal). The original nucleus of musicians would go on to change the face of heavy metal. Throughout the 70’s Priest were responsible for helping trail blaze metal with such classic offerings as ‘Sad Wings of Destiny’ (1976) ‘Sin After Sin’ (1977) and ‘Hell Bent for Leather’ (1978) as well as one of the genre’s top live recordings ‘Unleashed in the East’ (1979) among others.

It was during the 80’s that Priest conquered the world, becoming a global arena headliner on the strength of such all-time classics as ‘British Steel’ (1980) and ‘Screaming for Vengeance’ (1982), as well as being one of the first metal bands to be embraced by the then-burgeoning MTV, plus performing at some of the decades biggest concerts (1980’s Monsters of Rock, 1983’s US Festival, and 1985’s Live Aid) and being the first to exclusively wear leather and studs – a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. Priest’s success continued throughout the 90’s and beyond with the addition of drummer Scott Travis, as evidenced by such additional stellar offerings as ‘Painkiller’ (1990) ‘Angel of Retribution’ (2005) and ‘A Touch of Evil: Live’ (2009) the latter of which saw Priest win a Grammy Award for a killer rendition of the classic ‘Dissident Aggressor’.

In 2011 new guitarist Richie Faulkner came in to replace the previous guitarist who had left in 2010 – the move seemed to have reinvigorated the band, as evidenced by a show-stealing performance on the ‘American Idol’ TV program that also served as Faulkner’s debut performance with the band (also in 2011 was the release of a new compilation ‘The Chosen Few’ which included Priest classics selected by some of metal’s biggest names) and the ‘Epitaph’ concert DVD in 2013.

Priest’s next studio effort would arrive in 2014 ‘Redeemer of Souls’ which was supported by another strong tour. In 2017 (and again in 2019) Judas Priest received a nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and got ready to unleash their latest studio album ‘Firepower’ (produced by Andy Sneap and Tom Allom) which received global success and critical acclaim. In 2020, a fully official and authorized photographic book, ‘Judas Priest: 50 Heavy Metal Years,’ was issued.

Few rock or metal acts remain as much of a must-see live attraction as Judas Priest. Having been forced off the road for over a year, Priest will soon make a most-welcomed return to metalheads coast to coast, with the 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour.
