Finnish extreme metallers PROGENY OF SUN have released their new EP Dark Wanderer via Inverse Records. To celebrate the release the band also released a music video for Eclipse track.

The band comments:
“We think this is a huge improvement from the first EP. The sounds and texts have gotten increasingly dark and gained a pressuring twist. All in all, the material feels more unified this time around even though we have more people behind it. Vocals are bit more straightforward compared to the first EP, still with a lot of variance, but with more taste.

This EP summarizes well the direction we want to take our music, and the next album will be killer.

The video is also an absolute cracker especially considering it’s fully our own making. Joni did absolutely amazing job getting it done. We think the video also summarizes our energy and enthusiasm precisely. The video shoot was easy, we just played the song as we would with an audience. We had only one small setback when the person who was supposed to shoot the video got quarantined because of coronavirus. Fortunately, Joni was able to step up and with little additional help from our “manager” we handled the situation well.”

Polish Grindcore Veterans SCHISMOPATHIC Release First Full-Length Album In 33 Years’ History ‘The Human Legacy’

Polish grindcore act SCHISMOPATHIC have released The Human Legacy – the band’s first full-length album since its inception in 1988 – through Selfmadegod Records.

Founded in 1987 under the name Schismopathic Torment, in 1988 the band changed its name to SCHISMOPATHIC  under the lineup of bassist Jacek B., guitarist Robert F., and vocalist/drummer Robert G. A year later, they released their debut demo, Kharkharamapathic Regurgitator, resulting in a plethora of shows throughout Poland with bands from the top tier of their country’s underground. In 1991, SCHISMOPATHIC recorded their debut album, D.E.M.O.C.R.A.C.Y., which, due to the band’s inactivity, was released with the first demo and live recordings in 2013 on CD, and then a few years later on LP via Selfmadegod Records.

The band’s reactivation in 2020 was preceded by a split 7” EP with Antigama, also released through Selfmadegod. The band rebooted the original lineup but without Robert G., who was replaced on drums by Janek (ex-Psychoneurosis, ex-Bottom) and new vocalist Adrian. With this lineup, SCHISMOPATHIC composed and recorded material for the full album, The Human Legacy, which will now see release through Selfmadegod Records.

SCHISMOPATHIC’s The Human Legacy was recorded and mixed at 125 Studio between May 2020 and March 2021 and produced by Michal “Maly” Kwiecień. The record’s intro features Kwiecień and Artur “Janek” Jasiński, and the outro features Sebastian “Stecyk” Steć. The cover art and layout were handled by Jasiński and DIY Zrup Leprzy Prod. The track “Proof Of Ignorance” is a new version of the 1989 track “Construction Of Ignorance,” here re-recorded in a new arrangement with new lyrics. With twelve new songs recorded with two original members, The Human Legacy is old-school grindcore frenzy at its best!

Stream SCHISMOPATHIC’s entire crushing The Human Legacy now at THIS LOCATION and see the band’s video for “Time Of History” HERE and the “Vote For Me” animated lyric video HERE.

Canadian JADED TRUTH Release Brand New Video ‘Spirit’

Canadian rockers JADED TRUTH have premiered their explosive new video ‘Spirit’ via The Ripple Effect. The video can be seen at this location.

Jaded Truth is a Hard Rock Alternative band from St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada.

It all started it in 2019 when vocalist & guitarist Kyle Woodland and Bassist Aaron Jones were looking for a drummer after the demise of their previous band.

They soon got in touch with Michael Small who was a known drummer in the local metal scene. Bonding over there shared love of 90’s rock, metal & punk and having a similar mindset… the band soon began learning cover songs and crafting original material. What followed was a plethora of shows locally throughout St John’s. Taking their dirty rock n roll sounds to the people. In 2020 the band released their full length album titled Rx which is a physiological triller packed among brooding guitars, manic bass and pounding drums.

The rise of covid19 saw the end of jaded truth’s live shows for the promotion of “Rx”

So the band returned to the studio to record their newest opus.

Released March 27 2021 independently via Bandcamp.

KING SATAN Release New Single + Music Video ‘This Is Where The Magick Happens’

Finnish occult industrial metal band KING SATAN released a new single and music video This Is Where The Magick Happens. The kings of blasphemy and exploitation entered studio to work with new material recently and is now ready to share first results of the sessions, presenting more metalized side of the band’s musical output.

Watch music video This Is Where The Magick Happens:

Vocalist/director of the music video King Aleister Satan comments:”The world peaked in the year 1999 and it has been downfall ever since, so I wanted to take this 90’s exploitation much further than before in order to relive those summer hits! And of course, all filtered through our own style and the message of anticonformity, spiritual anarchy and hunger for enlightenment. There might be or might not be a story of symbolic allegory in the video, making references to various influential thinkers from Socrates to Aleister Crowley and everything between, adjusted into modern times. But most likely I want to say these things only for the keywords for search engines cos people don’t read these statements anyway to the end. PS. Nietzsche”

KILL RITUAL Release New Single ‘Light The Fire (Tonight We Fly)’

Friday, May 28th, SF Bay Area based metallers KILL RITUAL unleashed their new single “Light The Fire (Tonight We Fly)” off their upcoming EP “Thy Will Be Done”, coming out late Summer ’21. This track sees the band covering a classic metal vibe with groove and punch while showing another face of what the band is capable of melodically.

Guitarist Steven Rice comments, “Of course we as a band like to vary the material we present because it’s one dimensional to constantly thrash or play everything one style with no imagination. So this tune is pretty different from the title track of the EP and has a little darker sound and feel with almost a 70’s-80’s metal style. If you dig songs about witches, flying and fire we got you covered on this one. Typical metal BS of course but fun nonetheless. Beware Diana!”
