OTHERWISE and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group present the first track ‘Halo’ from the upcoming EP ‘Defiance, featuring B-sides and live recordings.

OTHERWISE’s Adrian Patrick offers, “The first single, ‘Halo,’ we’ve had hidden in our six-demon bag for quite some time. Written in Los Angeles and recorded in Las Vegas, it personally functions as a celestial middle finger to every hypocrite out there… including the ones in the mirror.”

Stream here

The collected body of work will feature B-sides, live recordings, and special guests. Further detail will be shared in the coming months.  Patrick reflects, “The pandemic basically brought a screeching halt to the album cycle for DEFY, and it was honestly heartbreaking. But we took the huge, perpetual chip on our shoulder and made an opportunity from it, one in which we could breathe new life into our art by revisiting the music in a live acoustic setting, as well as fully producing some of our favorite songs from the DEFY sessions that may not have been given due diligence. Thus, in the spirit of being rock n roll soul-rebels, we’ve named this upcoming release DEFIANCE.” Cumulative streams of repertoire featured on DEFY exceed 11 million plays, while the singles “Lifted” and “Crossfire” charted at Active Rock radio.

On May 22, OTHERWISE will stage “Rock ‘N’ Run” in their hometown of Las Vegas. As the band states on Facebook, “VEGAS!!! Something special is going down on May 22nd!!! We are raising money for High School Music Programs in Las Vegas & supporting the Life By Music mission by participating in their first annual 5k fundraiser!! Saturday May 22nd, please join us in the morning as we run our first 5K! You can run it, walk it or donate to it from anywhere!!  Then that evening we will be getting loud & proud outside on the green while we raise more money, it’s going to be a TIGER BLOOD kind of Celebration!! Any runners out there want to come join us for a good cause?!?!  Also, there are limited tickets available for the evening celebration so go to Life By Music’s website now & buy them before they sell out. Join us!!! #RockNRun2021

Life By Music’s ROCK ‘N’ RUN 2021!”  Twitch will stage a virtual single release party on May 20 to support the release of “Halo” and planned Rock ‘N’ Run events.

Dublin’s genre-bending GREYFACE release their bristling new single ‘Underground Star‘ on 4th June.

As intriguing sounding as they are looking, Dublin’s GREYFACE hit the scene at full speed with first single ‘Yin’, and they continue apace with the release of their angst riddled, raging new single ‘Underground Star’. As insanely talented as they are youthful, this unique band should be on everyone’s radar as the ones to watch.

Presave/Preorder ‘Underground Star’ here: https://smarturl.it/2ornf7

GREYFACE are an Alternative group based in Dublin city. The band’s philosophy is loosely based on the universal Freudian/Jungian ideas of the inner shadow. Each member of the group names and paints this inner idea most people choose to ignore, or reject for its undesirability. The group refer to their shadow as their ‘GREYFACE’, taking these ideas to the stage in a theatrical and explosive way.

Through high-energy performance, the band performs a stylized mix of music branching from hip-hop, to rock/metal, to electronica. The group performs regularly with backing from MCD, having opened for ‘As It Is’ in The Academy Dublin and performing at Wacken Open Air in Germany.

The current lineup of GREYFACE consists of the following four members:
Shaye – Vocals
Icarus – Guitar
Evra – Bass
Éalú – Drums

After their debut single ‘Yin’ was played on radio stations nationwide, the group received positive press Irish music and politics magazine, Hot Press, interviewing frontman Shaye in the “Hot For 2020 Issue,” and describing them as “A force to be reckoned with” after attending a live concert.

The group now returns with their second single, ‘Underground Star‘. The four piece along with backing vocalists present a hooky anthem with industrial inspired riffs, boasting lyrics layered in irony and self-deprecation. The fictional character Underground Star personifies the clichéd desires of rockstar celebrity narcissism, critiquing popular culture and humanities’ obsessions with violence, sex and self-destruction.

The voice on one of the most instantly recognizable and celebrated rock anthems of all-time, DAVE BICKLER, recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to reprise his singing role in this iconic song, this time aimed at the recovery of the Tiger recently on the loose in Texas.  Dave was contacted by his label Deko Entertainment early Monday morning after the show had reach out to them to get Dave to participate in the opening of Monday night’s show. Dave had this to say about it, “I had to find new gear to keep up with the late show crew….Super fun!!”

Dave started his musical career as lead singer of the 1970s rock group Jamestown Massacre (best known for the Billboard Top 100 Song, “Summer Sun”) and doing commercial jingle work in Chicago, Dave was the lead singer of Survivor from 1978-1984 and 1993-1999, and co-lead singer 2013-2014. “Eye of the Tiger” – the theme song for the hit film ‘Rocky III,’ topped the Billboard charts for six weeks and won a Grammy Award for ‘Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.’

Dave released his first ever solo album ‘Darklight’ in 2019, the ten-track album recalls the singer’s classic rock roots with a modern sound – and features contributions by the likes of Ryan Hoyle (Collective Soul) on drums, Brad Smith (Blind Melon) on bass, Grammy nominated producer Steve DeAcutis (Vanilla Fudge, Corey Glover, Vinnie Moore, Overkill, etc.), and Grammy Award winning mastering engineer Alan Douches (Fleetwood Mac, Yes, Mastodon, Monster Magnet, etc.).

Work has commenced on his follow up to ‘Darklight’ which he hopes to complete later this year. ‘Darklight’ is available on both CD and Vinyl from Deko Entertainment and there is a small quantity of autographed items available while supplies last.

Finnish rockers KILLER ASPECT break the silence and releases new single “Troubles”!

Killer Aspect was founded a bit over 15 years ago in Helsinki, Finland. Teijo Jämsä from a band called Killer (Familiar from songs like All I Want, Naughty Boy etc.) and Samuli Relander from active live bands Personal Aspect and The Winyls decided to combine forces. Killer Aspect’s first single “TV” (2007) reached number 1 chart position on national radio station YleX. It was followed by single ”Bloodshot”, that was also a radio favourite and reached number 5 on radio hit charts. Debut album ”How Does it Work” (Bonnier Music) was released in April 2008. At the same time the band played lots of gigs, some of which were quite high profile (they were the opening act for 30 Seconds to Mars in 2008).

However, the band members had lots of other projects going on and Killer Aspect was put on hiatus after their second album ”Brand new start” (2013). They prepared some new really hard rocking material of which “Troubles” is the first single.

Vocalist Max Paananen backgrounds the new single:“After all difficulties, challenges and even bad times the troubles might still find you. The character of the story isn’t able to avoid troubles because they aren’t actually a cause and a result. Situations might escalate and because of that troubles might still catch us all.
Personally I see the lyrics like as an theatrical trailer of a good old B-movie that reveals the whole storyline in minutes. Verse is punchlines and chorus is the whole script of the movie.”

QUINN SULLIVAN Releases New Video ‘In A World Without You’

QUINN SULLIVAN is revealing a new side of his musical identity on “In A World Without You,” premiered this week via Flaunt Magazine. Now 22-years-old, the singer, songwriter, and guitarist has already toured the world, collaborated with rock’s biggest legends, and developed genuinely jaw-dropping skills as a guitar player. But now, Sullivan’s more recent work has been with pen and paper, as he lets the abundant skills of his youth blossom and steer him into new directions of artistry and creativity. “In A World Without You” will be featured on Sullivan’s upcoming full-length album, ‘Wide Awake,’ out June 4th via Mascot Label Group.

“’In a World without You’ is one of my favorite songs off of the new album,” Sullivan told Flaunt. “We shot it at Building Records, a recording studio in Marlboro, New York. I had an absolute blast making it. I had the opportunity to bring in some friends of mine to do this with me, which I think really added to the concept. Playing drums is Lee Falco, playing keyboards is Will Bryant, and playing bass is Brandon Morrison.”

Recorded in Los Angeles with producer/collaborator Oliver Leiber, ‘Wide Awake’ adds potent new arrows to a quiver already brimming with sure-shots, and it showcases the kind of forward motion that separates the artists from the mere players. “I want people to understand who I am as an artist,” explains Quinn. “I think my audience will appreciate the fact that the guitar is still a huge part of who I am, and I can truthfully say all the songs are coming from a very honest place.”

A rare artist who’s always sounded older than his years, Sullivan has been touring the world since he was 11-years-old, playing storied venues such as Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl and RFK Stadium in Washington D.C., as well as India’s Mahindra Blues Festival, Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival, and three Montreux Jazz Festivals. Quinn has shared the stage with his hero and mentor Buddy Guy, as well as Carlos Santana on several occasions. Quinn’s performance experience includes appearances on leading national television programs Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and CBS This Morning, to name a few.

As he moves into this new chapter, Sullivan’s constant credo has been growth and learning. “I want to stay true to where I come from, and go from there,” says Sullivan. “The artists that inspire me to do that are always hungry for the new. They never repeat themselves. They just grow and become more unique — and that’s what I aim to do as an artist.”
