Today, Canadian rock and roll band THE DAMN TRUTH have officially released their ground-breaking music video for their current single “This Is Who We Are Now“. The song is taken from the band’s critically acclaimed Bob Rock-produced album “Now or Nowhere” which is available from www.thedamntruth.comand now streaming on Spotify.
The gravity-defying video utilises state-of-the-art technology that sees the band performing the single upside down in a 360 degree rotating custom-built room. Watch the video HERE.
“I don’t know remember how the director said it,” says the TDT’s drummer Dave Traina, “but he just basically said, “Guys, how comfortable are you performing upside down?”
“They built an 8 x 10 circus ride just for us,” commented TDT’s bassist PY Letellier. “We call it “The Damn Truth cube.”
The visually compelling video was created by I/O Studio, and you can get an insight into how it was made by accessing the behind-the-scenes footage about the making of the video HERE.
“All members of the band were injured in the making of this video,” says TDT’s lead singer Lee-La Baum… “and they loved every minute of it.”
The band are special guests on King King’s February 2022 UK Tour. Tickets are available from www.kingking.co.uk. The nine-date tour starts at York’s Grand Opera House on February 10, 2022 and ends at London’s The Electric Ballroom on February 24, 2022.
The Damn Truth’s latest single, “This Is Who We Are Now” has taken flight in the UK with nine weeks of airplay on Planet Rock and a spot play on BBC Radio 2’sRock Show with JohnnieWalker. The single also won Tracks of the Week on Classic Rock’sLouder Sound. The band are also featured in Classic Rock Magazine later this month.
The band are also featured in the following UK music magazines – Guitarist, Blues Matters, Guitar Techniques, HRH, MNPR, Powerplay, Blues In Britain and Fireworks.
The Damn Truth are Lee-La Baum (lead vocals, guitar), Tom Shemer (guitar), PY Letellier (bass) and Dave Traina (drums).
Six tracks on the new album “Now or Nowhere” were produced by legendary Grammy Award winning Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Cult, The Offspring) at Bryan Adams’ recording studio “The Warehouse” in Vancouver.
“Now or Nowhere” chronicles the band as they navigate life, love, and everything else in a world gone seemingly upside down and sideways during the past year they were unable to finish the album with Bob because of COVID-19 restrictions, the band recorded the remaining three songs with help from Juno Award-winning producer Jean Massicotte (Patrick Watson, The Damn Truth) who mixed “Everything Fades”; and the rest of the mixing was done by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton), Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine), and Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Cranberries, Three Days Grace).
The Damn Truth have extensively toured Europe and the USA, opened tours for Z.Z. Top (and partied with Billy Gibbons in his pyjamas), the Sheepdogs, Styx, and Rival Sons. They sold out the legendary Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, sold out the Corona Theatre in their hometown of Montreal, and even had one of their videos featured on the official Janis Joplin Facebook page. It’s a culmination of a lot of blood, sweat and tears that’s come fruition with “Now or Nowhere”.
The new album “Now or Nowhere” is now streaming on Spotify. The band also issued an behind-the-scenes EPK about the making of the album HERE.
After the forced stop due to the pandemic, KLOGR are coming back. They are ready to resume the songwriting session for the new album, suspended last September.
The band also announces a new line up, welcoming (back) Filippo De Pietri as the new drummer. He was actually Klogr first drummer, who collaborated with Rusty on the band’s debut album “Till You Decay” back in 2011.
Rusty comments “We have tried to write music in different ways using technology but it is not our universe. I found myself in the studio with Fil and jamming together, that natural musical affinity immediately resurfaced. The next album will certainly be an emotional and instinctive album.“
Klogr are getting ready to be back on the road again both in selected festivals and headline shows, and confirm their collaboration with K2 Music Management who will work on the band’s upcoming activities.

Eclipse Records is thrilled to announce the signing of APRIL 21st to an exclusive worldwide deal! The band is based in Belo Horizonte, MG (Brazil) and their sound is known for a focus on melody, speed, and gargantuan heaviness. April 21st was formed in 2016 and they are getting ready to release their new EP Courage Is Born from Fear via Eclipse Records on September 10, 2021.
Get a taste of April 21st by checking out their self-released music video from 2020 for the song “We Are the Difference” at this location.
“I am very excited about this new phase of the band. It is such a privilege to be able to work with Eclipse Records on this new project!”, says bassist Helbert Collyn. Guitarist Herbert adds, “Signing with Eclipse Records means a lot to all of us. I am very proud of what we have achieved so far, and this deal represents a big step in our career, as a metal band, as musicians and as artists.”
Courage is Born From Fear by April 21st is a bold part of a large metalcore mural, showing us the landscape of our lives. The band does not just write songs, they craft concepts too. One might notice a metamorphosis as the music evolves track to track, often themed similarly with emblematic depictions of depression or the power of lies, but it is the structure of the vocal itself that brings the listener to profound satisfaction. The tracks on this EP are innovative and they clearly place the band on the map at the center of the metalcore genre.
Old school death metallers NEFARIYM are set to release their debut album Morbid Delusions on September 24th 2021 via Inverse Records. The band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2019 by Mark Kelson & Richie Poate, both of the melodic doom band The Eternal. What started as an idea to pay homage to the golden era of early 90’s death metal formed in a fully fledged band and the crushing album ‘Morbid Delusions’ was forged.
First single A Morbid Delusion is released today and Mark Kelson comments:“Mankind’s demise is nearing completion. As the fabric of society disintegrates society approaches is impending doom. A festering depravity of sickness and filth will be all your children ever know.”
If you like your death metal fast, straight to the point with moments of filthy doom ridden sludge, ‘Morbid Delusions’ will pound you into submission from start to finish.
