LIGHT THE TORCH Share Visualizer For New Song “More Than Dreaming”

Howard Jones [vocals], Francesco Artusato [guitar], and Ryan Wombacher [bass] — will release their new album and second full length You Will Be the Death of Me on June 25 via Nuclear Blast. Pre-order it here. Pre-save the album and listen here.

The band has shared the visualizer for the new song “More Than Dreaming.” Listen and watch here.

“I love starting the album with ‘More Than Dreaming,'” says Jones. “It’s got great energy and bounce to it — exactly what you want as an opener. We are looking forward to playing this live. The wait is almost over!”

The visualizer is a 3-dimensional version of the album artwork. Both the visualizer and album cover were created by Francesco Artusato.

“The idea for this artwork started developing in my head right after we were done with the first session of pre-production,” Artusato explains. “I started seeing certain colors and this style in my head. To me, the music on this record in fact sounds like ‘those colors.’ The concept is pretty simple: You can see a torch in the middle and three flames coming out of it. The three flames represent the three of us. The addition of neons and fog was inspired by John Carpenter’s ’80’s movies.”

He continues, “Having all the artwork created in 3-D, I was able to place it in a CG environment, start animating some of the elements, and create some sort of story. I think in this case it works well with the ‘dream-like’ vibe of these visuals. Artwork and visual creativity have been a big part of my growth as an artist for the past few years and I love to be able to combine music and visuals in one project. It made this album even more special to me.”

LIGHT THE TORCH previously shared the video for the first single, “Wilting in the Light,” which was directed by Ramon Boutviseth in L.A. Watch it here.

For You Will Be the Death of Me, the band returned to Sparrow Sound in Glendale, California to once again work with the production team of Josh Gilbert and Joseph McQueen [Bullet for My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence]. This time around, they also welcomed Whitechapel’s Alex Rudinger on drums.

It bowed at #4 on the Billboard US Independent Albums Chart and at #10 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart in addition to receiving acclaim from Revolver, Outburn, and many more. “Calm Before the Storm” racked up a staggering 15.4 million Spotify streams, while “The Safety of Disbelief” remains one of SiriusXM Octane’s all-time most requested songs. They also crisscrossed North America and Europe on tour with the likes of Trivium, Avatar, In Flames, Ice Nine Kills, Killswitch Engage, and August Burns Red to name a few.

VANDOR Reveal New Album ‘On a Moonlit Night’ Details

Swedish power metal warriors VANDOR have released the details of their new album ‘On a Moonlit Night’, set to be released on July 16th, 2021 on Scarlet Records.

In the band’s own words: “‘On a Moonlit Night’ feels without doubt like a highlight in our career: we took a look at everything we loved with our debut [2019’s ‘In the Land of Vandor’] and aimed solely at writing in that vein. We are proud that we managed to cover so much musical ground on this album, spanning from the anthem-sounding ‘Mountains of Avagale’ to the beautiful ‘Future to Behold’ and the intense warmongering tale ‘Fate of Eltoria’, and finishing with the almost 20-minute-long saga ‘The Sword to End All Wars’.

This record is more Power Metal than our previous one, but we have also embraced Progressive Rock, which might not come as a shock for those familiar with our music. As for the bonus material… this is our way of thanking the fans! The 4 songs available on the CD show the different musical backgrounds we, as a band, have – with echoes of country music in the acoustic version of ‘Future to Behold’, our love for video game music in the 8-bit version of ‘Fate of Eltoria’ and our very own encore tradition song ‘Together We Fight’.”

‘On a Moonlit Night’ was written, produced and recorded at the Vandor HQ outside Gothenburg by Alve Bjerde, Vide Bjerde & Jack L. Stroem. The album was mixed by Jason Carter at Wavelength Studio and mastered by Tom Nunes at Atomic Mastering (both located in Salem, Oregon, Usa). The album artwork was made by super talent Nele Diel and it captures an unknown world waiting to be explored, with different tales to be told from the land of Vandor.

‘On a Moonlit Night’ will include 5 bonus-tracks (4 of which are exclusively available on CD only). The digital version will include one bonus-track.

The tracklist is as follows:

1.  … Darkness Looms
2.  Mountains of Avagale
3.  River of Life
4.  Endless Sea
5.  Future to Behold
6.  Fate of Eltoria
7.  The Sword to End All Wars
8.  On a Moonlit Night
9.  Enter Twilight (digital/CD bonus-track)
10.  Together We Fight (CD exclusive bonus-track)
11.  Serpent & Its Prey (CD exclusive bonus-track)
12.  Future to Behold [acoustic version] (CD exclusive bonus-track)
13.  Fate of Eltoria [8-bit version] (CD exclusive bonus-track)

WHEN RIVERS MEET Win Four Awards At 2021 UK Blues Awards

British Blues Rock husband and wife duo, Aaron and Grace Bond of WHEN RIVERS MEET, are the first
British Blues band to win four awards in the same year at the UK Blues Awards in London last night.

Hosted by the legendary Blues musician Paul Jones, the band won “Best Blues Album Of The Year”,
“Blues Band Of The Year”, “Emerging Blues Artist Of The Year”, and “Most Inspirational Online
Performance Of The Year”.

If you missed the awards ceremony last night, you can watch it on-demand via YouTube on this dedicated
link – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvnzvGCi_98.

When Rivers Meet first caught the public eye when they released their debut album, We Fly Free in
November 2020. Since then, their weekly Saturday night livestream concerts, rave reviews in the music
press, and radio airplay on Planet Rock, BBC Radio 2, Radio Caroline, plus many more radio stations and
shows, have seen them develop into one of the most sought-after Blues rock bands in the past 12 months.

They recently invited to perform a live stream performance of their single Did I Break The Law on Joe
Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive Stream-A-Thon which where proceeds were raised to aid blues
musicians affected by the pandemic.

Last month they were confirmed as special guests on King King’s February 2021 UK tour. The band are
also in the process of organising their first headline tour of the UK in 2022.

“We’re totally blown away to have won these awards,” says WRM’s lead singer, mandolin and fiddle
player, Grace Bond. “We started playing music together over ten years ago, and when we started out, we
didn’t really know what direction we were going in until two years ago when we realised that Blues Rock
was not only the music we listen to the most, but it’s also the music we love the most.”

Continues Grace “Aaron’s very first album was John Lee Hooker. He was hooked on the Blues from an
early age. It was inevitable that we would want to play the blues. I just can’t believe it took us as long as it
did, but so glad we did and to receive such a prestigious award as the “Emerging Blues Artist of the Year”
is just amazing. We’re pleased that people like our sound and what we are doing.”

“When lockdown started, we didn’t know what we were going to do,” reflects Aaron. “Like everyone else
our live shows were cancelled, and we were unsure when music would start up again. We noticed other
people jumping online so we thought, let’s give it a go. We started doing live stream performances
through our iPhone, but looking back, we can honestly say it was the best thing we could have done.”

“Not only have we reached a bigger audience all over the world, but it also gave us something to strive
for. Playing a gig every Saturday night to an amazing audience of people who have been so supportive
over this last year, we just can’t even put it into words. To win the “Most Inspirational Online
Performance Of The Year” award is a thank you to all the people who have supported us every single
week. They not only got us through a hard year, but it also showed us that during the hardest times,
people can come together and even just for an hour a week can enjoy themselves. We feel eternally
grateful for the love and support that we have been shown on so many levels.”

“When we started recording our new sound that we had discovered a couple of years ago we were so
excited for people to hear it,” says Grace. “We had discovered our amazing producer Adam Bowers at
Boat House Studios, Suffolk. We took our songs to him and he was so open to our ideas that it just felt like
a perfect fit for us. We recorded two EPs with him and when it came to recording our debut album, we
knew he was the only person we wanted to work with. At the end of recording, we were nervous because
it was going to be the first time that we were going to release an album.

To receive the “Blues Album Of The Year” award is incredible. We have been blown away by all the
support not only in the industry by all the Radio DJ’s who have played our music and the magazines who
have published reviews and written about us throughout the year, but also family and friends and all the
fans who have given us such massive support. A huge shout out goes out to our awesome fans, The
Rapids, for their belief and support.

“To receive the “Blues Band Of The Year” award is really heart-warming. We can’t thank people enough
for their continued support of not only our music but of us. We love music, and we love the music we
create and for other people to love our music and want to see hear and us play live is just awesome. We
want to thank our families and friends for their continued support through the years and all our fans who
are now known as the Rapids. Without them we wouldn’t have anybody to play to, so again this award is
very much for all our Rapids.”

When Rives Meet are currently recording their sophomore album that will be released in November 2022.
