SOCIAL DISORDER To Release Debut Album ‘Love 2 Be Hated’ On June 18th, Details Revealed

Swedish-born Anders “LA” Rönnblom, best known as the founder / songwriter for Killer Bee and X-Romance, and a member of Wolfpakk, just recently launched a new project dubbed SOCIAL DISORDER. Call it a labour of love, as it features Rönnblom opening up his heart and soul. The debut album, Love 2 Be Hated, takes the listener on a journey through his life including his battle with alcoholism, personal demons, and his way back, all set to a backdrop of music inspired by his earliest influences.

Rönnblom didn’t take this journey on his own , however, chosing to enlist the help of a who’s-who of rock and metal greats, many of whom he has a personal connection to including Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake), Jeff Duncan (Armored Saint), Dave Stone (Rainbow), Snowy Shaw (King Diamond, Dream Evil, Mercyful Fate), Shawn Duncan (DC4) and Leif Ehlin (Perfect Plan). Social Disorder’s voice is provided by Thomas Nordin, a previously undiscovered Swedish singer who delivers Rönnblom’s songs with power and grit that perfectly captures the era of classic no-nonsense rock.

According to Rönnblom, Social Disorder was never planned to be what it turned out to be. As he got deeper into the songwriting he contacted Tracii Guns, Rudy Sarzo and Killer Bee bandmate Shawn Duncan about taking part in the recordings. Even though they are his songs and it’s his story, Love 2 Be Hated is a team effort, with everyone involved adding their own touch to the songs. In fact, it was important for Rönnblom that everyone involved put themselves into each song.

“I laid down the basic tracks,” Rönnblom says of Social Disorder’s origins, which came from an innocent and honest place. “I downloaded a metronome app on my phone, plugged in my headphones, pressed record on my phone and counted myself in and laid down the guitars. I did the same thing with the bass. It was pretty basic. I played all the rhythm guitars, but the leads and the fills are all those guys adding their parts to the songs. Basically they were given the recipe and they added the spice to it. At the same time they never really changed a thing, and that’s the beauty of it. I’m so grateful everything turned out the way it did.”

Tracklist:

01. Windy Road
02. Dreaming
03. Scars
04. Love 2 Be Hated
05. Raise A Glass
06. Sail Away
07. Down On My Knees
08. Out Of Love
09. The One
10. Wings Of Serenity

Love 2 Be Hated showcases the talents of Thomas Nordin, whom Rönnblom had never heard of before in spite of the fact they live in the same Swedish town. The connection was made thank to Perfect Plan keyboardist Leif Ehlin, who claimed to know a vocalist with a voice reminiscent of Joe Lynn Turner, and the rest is history. Rönnblom laid down his initial vocal idea with the help of Killer Bee bandmate Brian “Bee” Frank and provided Nordin with “strangled cat” demo vocals to establish the melodies, with the simple advice that Nordin should make the songs his own. To that end, Rönnblom explained what the lyrics were about so Nordin could stand for what he was singing. The results were awe-inspiring.

“The first song we did was ‘Dreaming’ and he nailed it,” says Rönnblom. “Then he sent me ‘Sail Away’ and he wasn’t that comfortable with it in the beginning, but I told him to change what he needed to change to make it work for him. When I heard the backing vocals on the song I was blown away, Thomas he was afraid they sounded too gospel. I told him ‘No, I love it….” and we kept them. I’m so blown away by everybody that played on the album because they performed the songs the way I heard them in my head.”

While Rönnblom wrote the lyrics to capture the events of his life in music, Love 2 Be Hated is not and should not be regarded as a concept album. The goal was to have his story touch people and give the listener something they can relate to.

“The lyrics are open to interpretation, absolutely,” says Rönnblom. “This is my story, sure, but if that story draws people in and makes them say ‘Hey, this could be me…’ and they take away something inspirational or positive from these songs I couldn’t be happier.”

Prosthetic Records are excited to announce the signing of THE DAY OF THE BEAST and unveil the release of the band’s upcoming fourth full length album, Indisputably Carnivorous, due for release on June 18. The album is blackened riff-heavy death metal at its most extreme – and it’s here to sour your summer. Accompanying the album announcement, THE DAY OF THE BEAST have also today released the lead single Disturbing Roars at Twilight.

Listen to Disturbing Roars at Twilight via Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

Pre-order Indisputably Carnivorous here.

Speaking on the signing announcement, the band comments: “We’ve always had much respect for Prosthetic Records and the impact they’ve had in the world of extreme metal. We’re incredibly honored and proud to be part of the roster!”

On the single release, the band adds: “This is one of the faster, more melodic tracks on the record. Lyrically, the song is themed around the Lovecraft short horror story ‘The Haunter of the Dark’.”

Dripping with pure aggression and channelling evil through all inputs, Indisputably Carnivorous is the soundtrack to every raging nightmare brought to life. Shining a light on the darkest, filthiest corners of the human psyche by way of apocalyptic, horror-inspired storytelling – THE DAY OF THE BEAST have created a monster. Each track revolves around its own specific tale or theme, with inspiration coming from the likes of Clive Barker, Bram Stoker, and Lovecraft. The album name is taken from the Graham Masterson novel The Wells of Hell, and the title track is primarily based on that book.

Recorded August – October 2020, in Hampton Roads, Virginia with the band overseeing all elements of recording the meat of the album themselves, they then enlisted Tony Petrocelly of Trepan Studios to track vocals. The album was mixed and mastered by Zach Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios. Taking control of production themselves allowed the band – which features Steve Redmond from fellow Prosthetic signees, Foretoken – to set their own pace – they took the time to look back over past output, cherry-picking the elements they rated the most and bringing them together in one cohesive rager of an album. The result is a whiplash inducing thrash-via-death metal record; celebrating the legacy of the genre whilst adding their own indisputably blood-thirsty, indisputably abominable, indisputably carnivorous spin on it.

Indisputably Carnivorous is due for release via Prosthetic Records on June 18, 2021.

Indisputably Carnivorous tracklist:
1. Corruptor_Infestor
2. Disturbing Roars at Twilight
3. Indisputably Carnivorous
4. Enter The Witch House
5. Annihilation Prayer
6. Venomous Procession
7. On Top Many Layers of Horror
8. Black Forms Materialize
9. Judas in Hell Be Proud
10. On Wyverns Wings to Oblivion

LCTRISC Release New Heartfelt Power Ballad ‘Coming Over’

It’s less than a year ago that LCTRISC released their fourteenth single with the dark fantasy rock shuffle ‘Swords & Serpents’. They’re now back with another rock oriented creation. ’Coming Over’ has the characteristics of a power ballad with passionate vocals, a  weeping guitar solo and a thundering 80s snare.

“We’ve been working on this song on and off for many years and it has gone through quite a many facelifts before emerging in this classic rock ballad form.” says the duo.

“It is possibly one of the best songs we’ve ever written, if not THE best.”

It touches on the subject of the power of music as a catalyst for one’s emotions and how a certain song can be a substantial aid through times of hardship. It’s about spiraling down a state of mind such as loneliness, heartache or anxiety that overshadows everything and how at that point all you can do is hope someone’s there to catch you.

“Reaching out for help can be hard and we hope that this song might inspire someone who’s on the bottom to open up and dare to be vulnerable.”

The duo had a big sync placement for Skoda Fabia in 2014 with their track Here Comes The Wizard, airing on TV and radio all over Europe. They had several really good buzzing singles released in the past including placements on like Consequence Of Sound, Popjustice etc. Played live all over the world; from Emmebodafestivalen in Sweden to Tokyo, Japan.

Hungarian Tribal Metallers AVAR Unleash Spectacular Music Video ‘Lonesome Road’

AVAR released their new single and music video Lonesome Road. Earlier in March, the band came out with an outstanding single and video Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım, and now it’s time to enjoy the English version of the song, too! This is a cover song and was originally written by Âşık Veysel, a highly regarded poet of the Turkish folk literature, who was blind in most of his life. Hungarian folk music often contains Eastern melodies and since the band liked the original song very much, they decided to make a cover out of it. It’s about your own life, your way, your destiny from the beginning till the end with all uncertainties and difficulties.

“The video was shot in Opusztaszer National Heritage Park, which is an open air museum of the Hungarian history, therefore it has countless mesmerizing features that we thought would fit perfectly with the video. And sure enough it did. The video was shot by our good friends Mihaszna film who are well-known in the industry for making amazing videos. Actually, our bassist is one of the members of the Mihaszna team so it was an easy choice to work with them, just like we have done with all our videos so far.”

The band was founded by Andras Fábri and his brother Bence Fábri in 2019, with the goal to make a band that joins musical elements of the East with current Western influence in the metal environment. Eventually, the perfect band members joined the team and Avar awakened. 2019 was also the year when they started working on the first songs and finally recorded their first EP.

“It is important to us to be able to create something lasting, to encourage all listeners to act, commit, believe and overcome difficulties during hard times. Since Hungary is a nation in Europe, but also has its roots in Asia, our mission is that the East and West meet and experience each other through our music and discover each other’s hidden secrets, treasures and endless opportunities. We go beyond categorizing ourselves in a specific genre, since our music covers a whole wide spectrum. As you can hear, not only hard guitar riffs or screams, but also various types of instruments (mostly East European and Asian) take part in our music. We feel that these ancient tones, melodies and beats are embedded in all of our genes and our aim is to release the genie from the bottle to make our everyday life more tolerable or eventually change it to a festive day.

Our motto sums it up well: We are the sound of the West and the melody of the East. The beat of the past and the tone of the present to give us guidance for the future” – the band says.

Sydney, AUS deathcore quintet TO THE GRAVE have released crushing new single ‘Kill Shelter’, taken from their new album, Epilogue, out now via Unique Leader Records.

Premiered via Knotfest, watch the lyric video for ‘Kill Shelter’ here:

Stream / purchase Epilogue here: https://orcd.co/epilogue

On the new record, vocalist Dane Evans told Knotfest: “Epilogue has arrived: Chapter 1 starts here. 19 songs spanning the past 2 years of To The Grave, a rollercoaster through honest frustration, desperation and finally hopelessness. Our leap into a void of closure.

“Our aim with this record was to look back on
Global Warning and what it did for us. To celebrate with friends and fans that helped us move mountains and to reach new audiences with a full, definitive collection that demonstrates what that album would look like in an extended format. Some of these new songs were dusted skeletons from years prior brought to life in 2020, others were written in the moment, ignited by both the things we’d lost and the things we’d gained in recent times.”

To The Grave‘s objective has always been to create sonically and thematically heavy music, charged with a grim, confronting message. Featuring their entire self-released debut album Global Warning, plus seven new songs, Epilogue is a huge 19 tracks of intense brutality.

After releasing the No Lives Matter extended play and touring Australia relentlessly with the likes of Alpha Wolf, Justice For The Damned and Gravemind, To The Grave put themselves firmly on the global metal map in 2019 with Global Warning. Closing 2019 as main support for Vulvodynia on their Australian run and opening a show for Cattle Decapitation elevated them further, earning them sold out headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
