Fans can read an exclusive interview with Cannibal Corpse about Violence Unimagined and more in the May 2021 issue of Decibel Magazine, which features the band on the cover. To purchase your copy online now, please visit: store.decibelmagazine.com – or pick up an issue at newsstands starting April 7th! An exclusive Decibel Magazine vinyl edition of Violence Unimagined can also be pre-ordered here: store.decibelmagazine.com

Comprised of eleven tracks, Violence Unimagined is state of the art death metal played with passion and breathless precision, making for another flawless addition to what is inarguably one of the premier catalogues the genre has thrown up. “It really follows the path we’ve been going down for a few years now,” states bassist and founding member Alex Webster. “I think we approach the writing in a similar way most every time: each of us try to write the heaviest, most memorable songs we can. We want each song to have its own identifiable character. Showing my age, I like to say you can ‘drop the needle’ on any point of one of our albums and quickly tell which song you’re listening to.”

While they continue to do what they do with aplomb, the one substantial change to Cannibal Corpse is the addition of guitarist Erik Rutan to their ranks, joining Webster, founding drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, guitarist Rob Barrett and vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher. Known for his roles in Morbid Angel, Ripping Corpse and most notably fronting the mighty Hate Eternal, Rutan has long established himself as one of the most dynamic forces in contemporary death metal. Simultaneously, he has built up a reputation as one of the most in demand producers in metal, having previously produced four Cannibal Corpse albums (in addition to Violence Unimagined), alongside the likes of Goatwhore, Soilent Green and Belphegor. Filling in live on guitar since 2019, in 2020 he became a full member, contributing to the writing process. “I think the most noticeable difference on this record will be the addition of Erik to the band. He wrote three full songs for the record, music and lyrics, and his song writing and guitar playing have added something new, and I think his musical style integrated into ours very well,” Webster enthuses. This is not all that he brings to the band. “He’s a great friend of ours, so on a personal level, he’s been a perfect fit, as we knew he would be. Beyond that, he’s one of the hardest working people I know, in music or otherwise, and he maintains a high energy, positive demeanor in challenging situations where other people might go in a negative direction. This energy and great attitude rubs off on the rest of us as well. That’s really a perfect situation to have when you add someone to a band, or any kind of team: someone who’s great at what they do, and also inspires the people around them.”

Already well known for the level of extreme technicality they bring to every record, on Violence Unimagined, Cannibal Corpse have further upped their game, particularly in Mazurkiewicz’s drumming. “I think we all pushed ourselves a bit technically on this one, with Paul probably pushing the hardest. This album is probably the most drum-intense album we’ve done yet. Part of that could be a result of Erik joining the band. His song writing style often features technically challenging drumming, probably owing to his years of experience in high speed death metal.” And with typically dark and warped lyrical content, Mazurkiewicz came up with the fitting title of the record, “summing up what the band is about in every facet, and taking violence to another level of extremity.”

Violence Unimagined track-listing
1. Murderous Rampage
2. Necrogenic Resurrection
3. Inhumane Harvest
4. Condemnation Contagion
5. Surround, Kill, Devour
6. Ritual Annihilation
7. Follow the Blood

Symphonic death metal pioneers GENUS ORDINIS DEI have just released the eighth music video entitled  “Abjuration” from their critically acclaimed & highly praised concept album entitled Glare Of Deliverance. The video was directed by Steve Saints. In this episode, The Cross demands that Eleanor repent for her sins however, The Fallen seems to have different plans for his new servant… Watch the new “Abjuration” music video / Episode 8 from Glare Of Deliverance at this location or watch the first eight episodes RIGHT NOW via the official series playlist located here and stay tuned for the final two episodes throughout the first half of 2021…

“This episode is kind of like the calm before the storm. Eleanor is brought before the Bishop to confess her crimes and repent, but the encounter from her dream the night before pays off. She is changed now, and ready to rise against her captors,” says vocalist & guitarist Nick Key. “We worked with Alessandra and Floriana on make-up that could represent this change. After the dream Eleanor keeps her new clothes, as if the dream was true. It is as if the encounter was real and in fact she is different. Eleanor has evolved and can see the big picture now, so she refuses to repent and threatens the Bishop. She challenges The Cross and is now a servant of The Fallen. Once again, we loved the performance of Emilia in this delicate passage, she is an amazing actress.”

Glare of Deliverance was produced by guitarist Tommaso Monticelli (Jumpscare, Eternal Delyria, Geschlecht) at Sonitus Studio, and it is the band’s third full-length album. The album was recently released on December 4, 2020 and has received dozens of rave reviews from all over the world. Heavy Metal Heaven gives it 94/100 calling it “a masterpiece among the most radiant albums of 2020” while A&P Reacts says “this album is absolutely flawless and perfect”. The praise goes on and on from dozens of highly respected media outlets. For just a sample of highlights, see here.

Glare Of Deliverance is the band’s most ambitious achievement yet. The scope and vision of the project had grown monumentally huge in comparison to their initial plans for the album. Aside from recording & producing a ten-song concept album, the band had to pull together a full production team for the ten-episode video series which consisted of concept artist Tom Roberts (Ghost), costume designers, animal trainers, prop construction, a cast of actors & actresses, visual effects supervisors, special effects wizards, stuntmen, catering services, and even a full orchestral choir!

Bangalore’s BEVER SEA Are Back, Announce New Album; Release Teaser Clip For New Track And Video

Five years after releasing their sophomore album ‘Invoke the Bizarre’, Bangalore’s BEVER SEA used the Covid-19 imposed lockdown as an opportunity to regroup and start working on the third album titled ‘The Timeless Zone’. With the backdrop of the lyrics portraying a tryst with the consciousness of man, storying into travels and visions within the self, the music on this song and over the course of the album, pays homage to the glory years of the 70s and 80s hard rock and metal with the typical rifftastic stoner/doom sound the band has embraced on the two albums prior to this.

The first single and title track “The Timeless Zone” will be released on April 30th along with a video for the track on all major streaming platforms. more details on the upcoming album  will be released in the near future.
A teaser clip for “The Timeless Zone” can be viewed here:

Bevar Sea adds: “The Timeless Zone, the song and the album, continues our approach of playing stoner doom music while being even more loyal to our hard rock and metal roots than before. Every band member had to step up and learn how to record themselves and work via email for arrangements, demos, and finally turn up one by one to record. This album is us embracing the 2021 way of making music while also being busy working from home, taking care of our families, and just dying to be able to play this new music to our fans live some day.”

With their beginnings in 2008, the band roared into the live scene in 2011, and in the following year their eponymous album ‘Bevar Sea’ was released, which earned them the “Best Emerging Act” at the Rolling Stone Metal Awards India and a slot in the coveted Maryland Deathfest in 2013 and rave reviews
worldwide. Mixed and mastered by the legendary Billy Anderson, the album was regarded highly for their 45-min hook-laden stoner/doom experience by fans and quickly garnered the band a firm reputation in their country and internationally. The fan favourite (Abishtu) which narrates the tale of a serial killer out for hipster blood and on the run from the law became a permanent chant by fans whenever they stepped on stage, while the 14-min ‘Mono Gnome’ about a short statured man and his love for a witch closed the album and turned out to be the pick in the doom circles with their reefer-pleasing, ‘Sleep’– esque flow of slow riffing and raspy vocals. Bevar Sea followed up their debut release with ‘Invoke the Bizarre’ in 2015. Drifting into new sonic territories, the band crafted a sinister mood for their audience in the first three tracks ‘Bearded and Bizarre’, ‘Bury me in Nola’, and ‘Sleeping Pool’ which boasted hooks over neck-twisting grooves, the down-tempo chug of the guitars and soaring lead guitars. With the vocal melody chanting ‘Look to the Sky’, the band closed the album with the epic ‘The Grand Alignment’ which comprised of a sublime cascade of riffs, solos, bass lines and vocal hooks. Recorded at a breakneck pace over 10 days at Adarsh Recording Studio and mixed and mastered by Matt Lynch (LA’s Mysterious Mammal Recording, also from the incredible band Snail), ‘Invoke the Bizarre’ was well received by the press and fans alike for their intricate song arrangements, unique story-telling, mature and well-rounded performances.

Guitarist MATTEO BRIGO Signs With Wanikiya Record

New hard rock guitar hero MATTEO BRIGO has joined Wanikiya Record / Promotion with his his new album “SPACE PIRATES”, released on March 24th 2021. All songs composed, written and arranged by Matteo Brigo. Produced by Matteo Brigo. Co-produced by Alex de Rosso. Artwork by Flaminia Spinelli.

Starring:
Matteo Brigo: Guitars, Keyboards, special effects and weird Experiments
Luca Serasin: Bass
Alessandro Arcolin: Drums

The new hard rock guitar hero is back! After having explored the myth of Frankenstein and the films of the 80s, the mad rock scientist is back with ten new tracks in a concentration of irony, melody and technique. Matteo Brigo, talented guitarist and composer from Padua, returns to the scene with a new album after the success of the previous “It Works!” and “80’s Movies”, which collected excellent reviews and interviews in the main magazines of the sector, establishing themselves within the Italian hard-rock and metal music scene.
Written, composed and arranged by Matteo Brigo, “Space Pirate” is the natural continuation of the previous albums, musically it starts from the same coordinates and boldly expands towards boundaries not yet explored, where no man has ever gone before. The musical influences are aimed at the guitar environment of the shred era, but many acrobatics and guitar acrobatics have been toned down in favor of a more dry, direct and cantabile style. The main points of reference were Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Van Halen and, of course, the soundtracks of the films of the 80s. “Space Pirate” is a concept album of ten songs ideally linked to each other by a real story that continues the narration of the previous discs. If with “It Works!” the origins of the protagonist and the characters that revolve around him are told, and in “80’s Movies” due to his reckless experiments our mad scientist finds himself catapulted into the cinematic universe of the legendary 80s, in “Space Pirate” the setting changes and our hero will find himself at the head of a futuristic pirate ship projected into the depths of space.
«I’ve wanted to make a record with a pirate setting for years! It all goes back to the first time I played Monkey Island, so we’re talking about decades ago. However, I wanted to add sci-fi elements that make it perhaps closer to “Captain Harlock” than to “Treasure Island”. This is to be able to make the most of electronic and futuristic sounds and effects with more coherence, and to increase fantastic elements of the story since I enjoy a world imagining distant worlds, aliens or UFOs. Although the “fun” component is always at the forefront, I consider it my darkest album.”

The whole disc revolves around a coherent interplay of quotations and references. The titles of the songs, often extrapolated from films, cartoons and video games; the artwork that recalls the world of cartoons and comics. A “fantastic” universe that is also told in the video clip of the launch single, the title track “Space Pirate”. The video clip, created entirely by Matteo Brigo who oversaw the recording and editing, mixes all the pieces that make up the universe of the talented artist with irony and technique.

AN AMAZING ADVENTURE FEATURING OUR SCIENTIST AND HIS FEARSOME CREW:
HIS VEGETABLE ASSISTANT AND THE LIVING GUITAR … GET READY TO SAIL ACROSS UNEXPLORED UNIVERSES AND MYSTERIOUS GALAXIES

A pirate ship sails into deep space, ready to face a thousand vicissitudes to get where no man has gone before. A journey that mixes the adventure of the pirate world with the futuristic and interstellar settings of science fiction.
In this scenario, the mad scientist who was already the protagonist of “It Works!” and “80’s Movies” which, with his crazy experiments, will have to face dangers and unforeseen events to find his way home and return to his home world.

► CREDITS
«For the studio recordings I reconstituted the team of“ It Works! ”And“ 80’s Movies ”.
musicians whom I respect for their musical qualities, but above all who were on the same wavelength as me from an attitude point of view, who had the right command of the instrument and a musical humor similar to a project like “Space Pirate” ». The band is formed by bassist Luca Serasin, former partner of Matteo in the thousand adventures of the Paduan progressive band Maieutica and Alessandro Arcolin, young rising star of the Paduan drum scene (Calicanto, Zephyros)
The artwork was entrusted to Flaminia Spinelli, cartoonist and illustrator, awarded with the Level Up group as Best Self-production of Lucca Comics 2014. “I love her style and the cut of the disc, very close to cartoon irony, it was perfect for she”.
The production aspect was handled by Alex De Rosso, guitarist and artist with several international productions behind him and replacement for George Lynch in a leading group of the sector such as Dokken. «Alex De Rosso is a guitarist I admire a lot and who has nothing to envy to the giants of the sector.
Working with him is an honor for me! Already with “It Works!” and “80’s Movies” his help was essential and to give a stellar production to “Space Pirate” I could only go back to him – explains Matteo Brigo – He was able to understand and guide every idea and intuition to the maximum yield with a ‘experience and professionalism in an exceptional recording studio »

Bulgarian INTELLIGENT MUSIC PROJECT – Ft. RAINBOW’s Ronnie Romero – Release Song & Video Dedicated To Families With Reproductive Problems

Bulgarian supergroup INTELLIGENT MUSIC PROJECT, led by their lead vocalist Ronnie Romero (Rainbow) presented the video for the song “Listen”, which is part of the band’s latest album “The Creation”.

The “Listen” video is dedicated to families with reproductive problems. The battle with the demographic crisis is one of the causes of the creator of the Intelligent Music Project and author of all the songs of the Project Dr. Milen Vrabevski:

“The battle with the demographic crisis is one of the areas in which I have been purposefully investing for many years. There is a need for active involvement of the state around this problem, but not only that – the progressive reduction of the population is a problem for all of us. With my foundation, we are trying to encourage the birth rate, and assisted reproduction is one way to solve the nation’s demographic problems. With the ‘Listen’ video, we want to give more publicity to this topic, to attract more like-minded people in the fight to have more Bulgarian children.”

Thanks to the financial support of Dr. Milen Vrabevski and his Bulgarian Memory Foundation, 36 children have been born so far. The music video features some of the couples that Vrabevski supports and recreates some of the emotions that families with reproductive problems go through on the way to making their dream of having a child come true.

Intelligent Music Project VI “The Creation” Feat. Ronnie Romero (Rainbow), Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath, Rainbow), John Payne (ex-Asia), Todd Sucherman (Styx), Carl Sentence (Nazareth) and Richard Grisman (River Hounds).

After the great success of the previous album of the band Intelligent Music Project V “Life Motion”, the expectations of the rock fans for the new one are logically high and we dare say that they will be fully justified!

This was said by the creator, producer and author of the music and lyrics of Intelligent Music Project Milen Vrabevski, MD.

“The Creation” is the newest piece of rock art by the Bulgarian businessman, philanthropist and patron of arts. In his own words, this is an album about the creative approaches, a key to success in a meaningful life.

The album showcases the chemistry and the creative style of all five previous albums of the supergroup. The musical diversity and the positive messages of the twelve songs from “The Creation” make it exclusively interesting and attractive to listen. Moreover the 6th album again features well-known, world famous, rock singers – Ronnie Romero (Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Vandenberg, Lords of Black), John Payne (ex-Asia) and Carl Sentence (Nazareth).
