Victor Smolski’s ALMANAC present a previously unreleased version of ‘Kingdom Of The Blind’, which originally was part of 2017’s “Kingslayer” album featuring vocalist Frank Beck (GAMMA RAY) as well as new arrangements.

Victor Smolski comments: “On our European Tour 2020, Frank Beck became the main singer of ALMANAC. ‘Kingdom Of The Blind’ was his favourite song from ALMANAC. So, we decided to do a new version of this song with great support from Belarus Symphony Orchestra, which brings the song to a new level.”

A lyric video for the track can be viewed here:

The track is available as digital single on all platforms now: https://almanac.bfan.link/kingdom-of-the-blind

OCEANS Release New Single ‘Voices’ Feat. Lena Scissorhands

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 20, 2021
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: OCEANS. Leave a comment

Recently, OCEANS released their first single ‘WE ARE NØT OKAY’ from the upcoming digital EP of the same name, that is due to be released on April 30th. Today, the band follows up with the second single from that masterpiece, titled ‘VOICES’.

Dealing with schizophrenia, an often misunderstood and yet very serious condition, the song is completed by the mesmerizing voice of Lena Scissorhands (INFECTED RAIN) and once again proves the band’s stunning ability to merge different music styles into their work.

The single comes with a visualizer, that you can watch here:

Timo Rotten states: “This song is fragile and violent. It displays self love and self hatred at the same time. We tried to capture a particular state of mind with ‘VOICES’, it’s basically our own interpretation of paranoid schizophrenia. OCEANS has always been about contrast, because most things in our world do have multiple sides to it, especially with mental health everything is multi-layered.
Normally, I try to transport that with my use of growls and clean singing, but Lena‘s vocals put the whole thing on a whole different level. The sheer amount of emotion in this track makes me shiver every time I listen to it.”

Lena Scissorhands adds: “Being part of the song ‘VOICES’ was an easy decision for me. I loved the lyrics and the music right away. The message is raw and very relevant to the current society we live in.“

Exclusive physical bundles of the EP, including a Ltd. CD Digipak + Shirt (ltd. to 200 copies!), are available through: https://oceansofficial.com/store/cds-lps/

After releasing Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2 last year, LIZZY BORDEN has now announced his feature film acting debut in Die Influencers Die – a blood-splattering, heavy metal-fueled, social media spoofing, feature length horror film starring a legendary cast and a killer soundtrack (including tracks from Metal Blade Records artists Lizzy Borden, The Black Dahlia Murder and Allegaeon). Written and directed by Gary Orona (HBO/Cinemax’s Hotel Erotica & The Erotic Traveler), Die Influencers Die is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

Lizzy Borden comments: “I had a blast on the set of this twisted little movie. I grew up on low budget splatter flicks from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, and ‘DID‘ had that feel. My character has no name, and he seemingly comes out of nowhere, and that made playing him so much fun. I just held on and let him spit his venom.”

For more information about Die Influencers Die, plus the official trailer, please visit: DieInfluencersDie.com

In addition, a new soundtrack video for Die Influencers Die, featuring Lizzy Borden‘s song “My Midnight Things”, can be viewed at: youtu.be/vURBJ_WGBXM. The clip was also directed by Gary Orona / Psychoactive Circus Pictures.

Lizzy Borden‘s recently released Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2 picks up where 1994’s Best of Lizzy Borden leaves off, containing 12 tracks that showcase the Deal with the Devil (2000), Appointment with Death (2007) and My Midnight Things (2018) albums. Additionally, the collection features 2 new cover songs recorded in the summer of 2020 (the first recordings by Lizzy‘s latest live show line-up!): Blue Oyster Cult‘s “Burnin’ for You” and The Ramones‘ “Pet Sematary” – both mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Stone Sour).

Digitally re-mastered by Tom Baker (David Bowie, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Tom Petty), Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2 can be purchased and streamed now at: metalblade.com/lizzyborden

INSOMNIUM Release Single & Video “The Conjurer”

Finnish melodic death metal masters INSOMNIUM proudly present their new single “The Conjurer”. Follow THIS LINK to watch the video, which was once again created by renowned director Vesa Ranta.

Click HERE to stream the single on all platforms.

The band comments:

“We haven’t been idle during the pandemic. The Conjurer is a tragic tale of jealous and searing love that opens this new chapter for Insomnium. Monumental composition by Markus Vanhala that reaches its peak in the soaring dual guitar solo. The wintry music video was shot in the dreamlike landscapes of northern Finland by director Vesa Ranta and his team. More shall follow...”  Niilo Sevänen

After reaching pole position on official Finnish album charts and hitting German top 10 with the acclaimed album “Heart Like a Grave” in October 2019, INSOMNIUM were once again supposed to entertain the legions of metal addicts all around the world. And that’s what these gentlemen did for the time being: there was definitely no absence of severe headbanging… well, until mid-March 2020 when the good old world abruptly closed its curtains. As of today, when wintry Northern darkness seems to be slowly giving a way to blooming flowers, INSOMNIUM return with the brand-new track “The Conjurer”.

Due to the current pandemic, guitarist Ville Friman unfortunately wasn’t able to join the video shoot.

Starting today an exclusive “The Conjurer” shirt design and other new merchandise designs can be ordered HERE!

GO AHEAD AND DIE Announce Self-Titled Album + Release New Music Video For ‘Truckload Full Of Bodies’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 19, 2021
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: GO AHEAD AND DIE. Leave a comment

Arizona’s GO AHEAD AND DIE is proud to announce their self-titled debut album will be released on June 11th via Nuclear Blast Records. GO AHEAD AND DIE is a raw, urgent, unrelenting, thrillingly shocking, and vibrant new band. Today the band release the music video directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera for the first single, ‘Truckload Full Of Bodies’.

Watch the video here:

Max Cavalera comments, “‘Truckload Full of Bodies’ is a dark x-ray of the COVID-19 pandemic. It examines the way certain politicians in 2020 didn’t care about their citizens. Hypocrites took care of themselves, and did not care about the rest  of us dying.”

Igor Amadeus states, “Like a riot breaking through your windows, G.A.A.D. arrives with a revolting mix of punk and metal, the perfect soundtrack to these dismal times.”

Zach Coleman comments, “’Truckload Full of Bodies’ is a battering ram and fist in the face of those in power who had no problem watching so many people die. I think it perfectly sets the tone for the album.”

The song debuted yesterday via Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal hosted by Jose Mangin.

Born from the mind of creative writer and musician Igor Amadeus Cavalera of HEALING MAGIC and extreme metal icon, and SOULFLY leader Max Cavalera. GO AHEAD AND DIE‘s tempos are wild, with a contempt for modern social ills palpable, its riffs monstrous and captivating. They make angry, spiteful, utterly engaging, spirited extreme music for increasingly extreme times.

The self-titled debut sees Max and Igor splitting guitar and vocal duties, with utter madman style drumming from Zach Coleman of the blistering BLACK CURSE and critically-acclaimed KHEMMIS. It sounds like a relic from the glory days of thrash, proto-death metal, and filthy rotten punk, the kind of band that would inspire a teenaged thrasher in 1987 to carve the G.A.A.D. logo into a school desk.

Pre-order your copy of GO AHEAD AND DIE’s self-titled album, here: www.nuclearblast.com/goaheadanddie. Pre-save the album here:  https://bfan.link/go-ahead-and-die

Vocals weren’t tracked over and over in the pursuit of some kind of “perfect” takes. Coleman didn’t play to a click-track. The heart and soul of GO AHEAD AND DIE is all about just going for it, the traditional way. Engineer Charles Elliot captured the sessions with the help of Platinum Underground Studio owner John Aquilino. The album was mixed by Arthur Rizk, whose credits include POWER TRIP, CRO-MAGS, and CAVALERA CONSPIRACY. The artwork for the album was created by Stewart Easton while the Circle logo was created by Jeff Walker (CARCASS).

Below is the GO AHEAD AND DIE track listing:
1. Truckload Full Of Bodies
2. Toxic Freedom
3. I.C.E. Cage
4. Isolated/Desolated
5. Prophet’s Prey
6. Punisher
7. El Cuco
8. G.A.A.D.
9. Worth Less Than Piss
10. (In The) Slaughterline
11. Roadkill
