Swedish post-punk/alt-metal band PAST FIVE have revealed a music video for their new single Dop(e)amine. The video was directed by Alexander Pettersson & Rasmus Klasson of Recvidd. Watch the music video right now via YouTube, below.

The track is a soaring rock anthem about the will to change the world, and the consequences thereof. For some, a change can be positive but for others, that same change can tip the balance of the universe and affect others with devastating consequences. Will the changes you make in life improve or destroy the lives of others? The track was produced by Jonathan Wallin.

“Filming this video was a truly unique experience where we learned quite a lot about ourselves as a band, the people around us, and how it feels to record a serious video with so many people in motion” says bassist Alexander Orlov. “We also got a perspective of how many people actually care about what we do, and that we are surrounded by a great crowd of people that support us in what we are trying to achieve.” Guitarist Jonathan Yderhag adds, “We really enjoyed shooting this video, it almost felt like playing live again which is a feeling we have missed badly.”

THE OWEN GUNS Release New Single And Video ‘Sick’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 23, 2021

THE OWEN GUNS dropped their latest EP Violating Community Standards in August last year and the controversial (albeit tongue in cheek) band caused quite a stir. ‘Sick’ is the first single from their new EP: EP 2 Electric Boogaloo which is out in late May on Riot Records/Golden Robot Records.

Sick is a punchy hardcore punk rock tune dedicated to the morons who thought it was a good idea to stockpile toilet paper during a pandemic. Short, sharp, and angry – it pulls no punches.  Co-written by Adam Check of Toe to Toe/One Dollar short.

Electric Boogaloo was Recorded and Mixed by Geoff Mullard at RTN studios and mastered by Jason Fuller at Goatsound, It’s 7 tracks which range from furious to funny, blending old-school hardcore with sing along punk rock and adding a metal edge. Full of blazing solos and group choruses – there’s never a lull from the onslaught of punk rock yet the band even have time to show their “sensitive” side with a faithful cover of the Hard-ons Aussie punk classic Just Being With You.  The guitar thrashes and wails, the bass and drums pound and the vocalist rants and raves at everything that annoys him. It’s an EP that shows the band in full flight.  No prisoners taken, no fu**s given. It’s raw and raucous – just how punk should be.

Listen/Stream Sick HERE

The Owen Guns are a hardcore punk band based in NSW with members split b/w Sydney and the South coast. Although they’re a new band, The Owen Guns are made up of veterans of the live music scene – the members have paid their dues playing not only in Australian bands but also in the case of the vocalist and drummer in Canada and China respectively.

Unlike most of the current crop of punk bands, there are no fake American accents or fear of offending people here. They don’t take themselves (or anyone else) too seriously and aren’t afraid to call it how they see it.  The Owen Guns have just recorded a 2nd EP of hardcore punk tunes that will bring the riffs and the laughs. Keep an ear out.

April 16th 2021 will see Swedish Post Metal act SUFFOCATE FOR FUCK SAKE release their highly anticipated full-length album, titled “Fyra”, via Moment Of Collapse Records. Following their critically acclaimed 2017 record, “In My Blood”, the septet is a true master of their craft and creates and incredible depressing and daunting atmosphere, that feels absolutely emotional and authentic. Today Suffocate For Fuck Sake unleashed “15 Missed Calls”, the second single taken from the band’s upcoming album, streaming here:

Next to their dark, nihilistic sound a trademark of the band was always the added swedish samples (taken from interviews and podcasts). On “Fyra” the samples deal with addiction shown in four different shapes that also mark the different chapters of the album.

“The second single from our upcoming album “Fyra” introduces the character Mikael, who suffers from a long drug addiction and lost the stable enviroment around him and also distances more and more from his family. This song features Arvid Ringborg from Vi Som Älskade Varandra Så Mycket as guest-vocalist.” the band comments

Tracklist:

  1. From the Window
  2. 15 Missed Calls
  3. All Our Memories
  4. Alone
  5. The Surface
  6. Hope
  7. Cosmopol
  8. Beind the Door
  9. To Fall Apart
  10. Here
  11. Small Comments
  12. Quiet

“Fyra” will be coming out April 16th on Moment Of Collapse and is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION
