Legendary Hollywood rockers L.A. GUNS dropped their critically acclaimed new album Renegades on the appropriate date of Friday 13th November 2020, via Golden Robot Records.Renegades has been described as one of their greatest albums of their distinguished career. The album produced 4 smash singles Crawl, Well OiledMachine, Renegades and All That You Are and the band received heavy representation on the esteemed and highly influential Spotify Hard Rock Playlist.
Now as an intro to 2021 and to fire the machine back up, L.A. Guns have released a new single from the album, the now appropriately named ballad You Can’t Walk Away which has now developed a deep meaning in more ways than one.
The single is now available via all streaming platforms.
“This is a song I wrote with a friend, Tommy Holland, over 35 years ago in Chicago. I brought it to pre-production for the Renegades album and the band finished it with a new chorus and some other minor changes. We are very proud of it and hope it follows in the footsteps of Ballad of Jayne.” – Steve Riley
One of the UK’s most exciting rising alt-metal talents VEXED have just signed an official worldwide record deal with premium Austrian rock and metal label Napalm Records.
The crushing Hertfordshire foursome was born in March 2019, and since then the band has been pursuing its desire for heavy groove, unfiltered lyricism and technical proficiency. While other bands dwell on flattery, VEXED bundle a mixture of honest hatred and apt social criticism in their lyrics, and don’t mince words for a moment.
VEXED have already dropped two one-off singles independently, including “Elite” featuring Thy Art is Murder vocalist CJ McMahon, which has garnered over 500k cross-platform streams as of now. Both tracks highlight VEXED’s potent combination of aggressive groove mixed with ominous threads of progressive atmosphere, like none of their kind. Due to the worldwide pandemic, the band had to cancel their planned tour with Whitechapel and a scheduled appearance at Bloodstock Festival, but this did not stop them from continuing to push their sonic strength. Be prepared, more exciting news is coming soon!
VEXED on the signing: “It is with great pride that we can finally announce our signing to Napalm Records. We are truly humbled by the label’s belief in VEXED and their ability to support our creative vision. Napalm is a label with a rich history and a strong presence throughout the world and we can’t wait to share what we have in store for you.”
Tone MGMT on the signing: “VEXED have proven time and time again that they are one of the most hard working and exciting new bands the UK has to offer. Their signing to Napalm Records only solidifies this. VEXED really are ones to watch.”

ELLIOTT WAITS FOR NO ONE (EWFNO) have released the third single “Megalomaniac” from their self-titled debut album on Dark Star Records/Sony/Universal. The video for their third single “Megalomaniac” was premiered worldwide on Tinnitist.com.
Jenny Franck talking about the new single “Megalomanic”, “For me the song is a pinnacle anthem for what individuality means, and has become in the world today. People truly believe they are larger than life itself, and yet they still cannot defy death.”
Brian Troch wrote the main riff for “Megalomaniac” during the Chicago Cubs World Series game. He went into his studio after it appeared that Cubs could blow it and couldn’t bear to watch, so he went into EWFNO home studio and out came the beginnings of “Megalomaniac”. Brian returned again to watch the game and the Cubs won the World Series a definite Win Win!
Drummer Jeff Tortora recorded the strobe light demented whisper scene in the music video at 3 AM in his hotel room in Germany while on tour with the Blue Man Group.
Brian wrote lyrics but Jenny Franck had a specific idea to better re write the lyrics. Only three original lyrics remain, Jenny liked the opening lyric of “Preen all my feathers“. Jenny is quoted as saying “I’ve always wanted to do a bird song“ the song turned out brilliantly with such deep metaphorical meaning that Brian had no problem delivering her lyrics.
The band is also excited to announce that their second single “You Can’t See Through Me” just won Best Sci-fi Short Film from The Golden Short Film Festival.
In Sweden, LILLASYSTER is mainly known for their bold lyrics in Swedish and their energetic live shows, but the band has also made some headlines abroad. Their cover of Rihanna’s hit Umbrella gave the band a lot of attention around the world, which led to a parallel career outside of Sweden’s borders.
In December 2020, the band released their second single written entirely in English, My Back And Your Knife, which was the last milestone before the album Svensk Jävla Metal was released on January 22nd. Now Lillasyster releases the official music video for My Back And Your Knife.
Dutch symphonic metal giants EPICA recently announced the release of their new album “Omega”, out on February 26th 2021 via Nuclear Blast. “Omega” is the band’s first studio album in five years. Recently, the band have released a music video for their mesmerizing third single, the ballad ‘Rivers’ and today, they reveal their 13th vlog episode, discussing the single more in-depth.
Simone Simons comments: “‘Rivers’ is written by Rob van der Loo. A beautiful, intimate ballad that I immediately felt a connection with. Writing the lyrics for ‘Rivers’ went really fast. A fun fact is that the working title was ‘Rivers’ and there was no other name that fit the song better. Normally we change the working titles of the songs, but not in this case. The video recordings took place in Esslingen, Germany. Jens de Vos and I spent one day in the studio for the video recordings. It was a messy shoot with all the glitter and water, but the result is worth it!`“

February 26th 2021 will see iconic heavy rock masters, MOS GENERATOR, release “The Lantern” – a finest song collection taken from their pathbreaking 2007-album, “Tales from the Vault”, through Argonauta Records.
Tony Reed’s Mos Generator, who formed in 2000 in Port Orchard, Washington from the ashes of a ten year off & on collaboration between it’s three members, all of which are long time veterans of road & studio, inspired the heavy music scene since decades. The band has released 9 full length studio albums, a retrospective album, 2 live albums as well as several singles and split albums over their impressive career. Touring has been just as important to the profile of the band as making records has. Over the years Mos Generator has shared the stage with many great heavy rock bands across Europe and North America including extensive tours with Saint Vitus, Fu Manchu, Elder, Spirit Caravan or Atomic Bitchwax. They have also played prestigious festivals throughout Europe including 2 appearances at Hellfest in France, opening up a whole new fan base to the Mos Generator sound.
After 20 years of making music the band shows no sign of slowing down. The songs on “The Lantern” were re-mastered and with a blistering new mix, it sounds like a different album and as you have never heard the band before. The album will be released as Vinyl only on Argonauta Records, and the pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION.
“The Lantern is a collection of songs that were originally released in 2007 on a 10” picture disc as Tales from The Vault.” Says band mastermind Tony Reed. “The original album has been long out of print so it’s great to be re-releasing these tracks with new mixes and new artwork. The recording sessions, from June 2006, took place in our rehearsal room and capture us live playing brand new songs. A few of them were arranged only a day or two before the sessions started. I think this element makes the songs sound reckless and raw. There is an atmosphere on this record that doesn’t exist on any other Mos Generator release.”
Now, Mos Generator has shared a video clip with a lot of cool behind-the-scenes footage. Watch the video for the album title track, “The Lantern”, here:
“The Lantern is a great example of a rhythm section working perfectly together.“ Reed continues. “If my memory is correct, this recording was done only 2 days after the song was written (sometime in June 2006). We recorded the bed tracks live in our rehearsal space which was very small and didn’t have much isolation between the players. We were tracking without headphones so I couldn’t hear Scooter’s bass parts when we recorded. When I listened back to the take (which was recorded on 16 track 1” analog tape), I was blown away by how well the bass and drums played off of each other. It’s what you would expect after years of playing together but it was still a joy to be around in a recording environment. It made the rest of my job much easier. This is possibly my favorite song from these sessions. I didn’t think we ever played it live.”
