After 4 years of hard work, the new MORRIGU album “In Turbulence” will be released on April 23, 2021. With eight strong and varied songs, the record is the implementation of a concept of collaboration between Morrigu and multiple artists. Musically, it is a cross section of all previous albums that the band has released, with Morrigu’s music appealing to fans of Amorphis, Dark Tranquility, or Evergrey.
“A Funeral Of Liberty” is the first video/single from the album. It can be viewed here:
As the band wanted the best quality for their music — and to work with real instruments instead of sampling — they asked musicians from all over the world to work with them, including Adrian Erlandsson (At The Gates, The Haunted) on drums. Together with the experience of Adrian and Jakob Herrmann (who engineered the recordings in his Top Floor Studio) they got the drum sound that they had always dreamed of.
Like with the last album, Jens Bogren (Opeth, Arch Enemy, At The Gates) was commissioned for the mastering. Various artists were also hired for the album artwork, with Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquility, In Flames, Soilwork) drawing the phoenix on the front cover.
Carolina’s based heavy rock band THE LA MAYBE — fronted by lead singer Alvi Robinson, made famous when he was nearly selected to front the legendary band AC/DC in 2016 — have released the official music video for their debut single, “Mr. Danger,” originally showcased on Metal Insider. Directed by Ridge Beck, “Mr. Danger” is the band’s first single off of their upcoming, freshman album, Dirty Damn Tricks, due out March 26, 2021.
“Mr. Danger is our ode to living fast and loose. As our debut single, it serves as a call to arms for rock n’ roll fans everywhere to stand up, get loud, and to never let the genre die without a hell of a fight.” – THE LA MAYBE
The L.A. Maybe is a 6-piece rock n’ roll band hailing from the southern heat of the Carolinas. If you’re a fan of Guns N’ Roses, The Black Crowes, or Van Halen…you will feel right at home adding LAM to your record collection.
Lead vocalist Alvi Robinson (who was one of only four singers to audition to replace Brian Johnson in AC/DC in 2016) lays down gritty, passionate vocals while the rest of the band back him up with slithering riffs, huge catchy hooks, and ripping guitar solos.
LAM firmly plants its feet at the very forefront of the New Wave of Classic Rock movement and you’re sure to have at least one of their choruses stuck in your head at any given moment.
Drawing influence from nearly every style of music, The L.A. Maybe put on an electrifying live show and stand for everything you love about rock music, old and new.
Australian brutal death metallers DISENTOMB have released new single, ‘Broken Under Your Symbol of Atonement’, the first new music heard from the band since 2019’s The Decaying Light album.
Out now via Unique Leader, watch the visualiser here:
‘Broken Under Your Symbol of Atonement’ offers another atmospheric and distinctive take on the brutal death metal genre that the four piece has become known for. Once again DISENTOMB have expanded on their unique amalgamation of dissonance, straight up brutality and ambitious song writing that they solidified on their previous albums The Decaying Light (2019) and Misery (2014). The themes of nihilism, Lovecraftianesque lore and antitheism that DISENTOMB has crafted since forming in 2009 sets the perfect tone for 2021.
Vocalist Jord James comments:
“Our new single ‘Broken Under Your Symbol of Atonement’ is our most accomplished work to date, expanding on the dissonant sounds we released on The Decaying Light (2019) and Misery (2014).
“Since forming in 2009 we have had the goal of writing music we want to hear, which has developed over the years into a distinctive style of atmospheric and bleakened Brutal Death Metal and that can certainly be heard on this new single.”
DISENTOMB will be releasing more standalone singles in 2021. Expect more bleakened brutality very soon.

TEN YEARS AFTER are best known for their Platinum selling album “A Space in Time” which featured the Top 40 hit “I’d Love to Change the World”, and their prodigious performance appearance at the Woodstock Festival in upstate New York, August 1969. Their rendition of “I’m Going Home” was featured in both the subsequent film and soundtrack album and catapulted them to star status.
Original members Ric Lee and Chick Churchill have continued this legacy and are now rounded out by Guitarist/Vocalist Marcus Bonfanti and Bass Icon Colin Hodgkinson. “A Sting in the Tale” was engineered and produced by Bonfanti at his ‘Cricklewood Green’ Studios in Cricklewood, North London and mixed by acclaimed Canadian mix engineer Doug Organ in Edmonton Canada. The 4 bonus live tracks, including “I’d Love To Change The World” were recorded during a subsequent tour in Erfurt, Germany. As Drummer Ric Lee states, “The creative process of the studio album was a joy. Writing and recording together, being able to construct songs that reflect the personalities, memories and experiences of each of the members was extremely satisfying. We’re very happy that Deko suggested adding four ‘live’ bonus tracks to make this the DeLuxe Edition.
The title “A Sting In The Tale” reflects the same sentiment Ric & Chick wished to convey in the 2015 live album “The Name Remains The Same”. Through the new lineup the music continues to evolve and grow fifty years on. The sound of the band will always be heavily rooted in the way they paved the way during the late sixties and early seventies and will never forget its incredible heritage. This new record is the ‘Sting’ in the continuing Tale of Ten Years After. Deko Entertainment Bruce Pucciarello on Ten Years After joining the Deko family, “Their story is legend and working with these guys at DEKO has been a privilege. The album, classic organic contemporary, forward, it just rocks. You put it on…you can’t just listen once.”
The subject material on the album ranges from childhood memories of growing up in post war Britain, songs of love lost to the rock n roll lifestyle as well as sincere odes to a life well lived. They pay homage to the steam train drivers of the past and guitar heroes of the future as well as other interesting characters the band have encountered since they embarked on this journey over fifty years ago. Featuring tracks like “Land of Vandals”, “Suranne Suranne”, and “Up in Smoke” this album has critics raving.
“….is a showcase for their long-matured blues, rock and jazz blend, with tracks like Iron Horse, Up In Smoke and the engagingly mournful Stoned Alone full of seasoned virtuosity.” CLASSIC ROCK
“….a healthy dose of tasty guitar licks, strong vocals, and plenty of groove. Bonfanti is a very capable player and vocalist…”Land of the Vandals” and “Iron Horse” kick off the album and provide a potent 1-2 punch, complete with hot licks and catchy hooks.” SEA OF TRANQUILITY
