To celebrate the start of the new year 2021, GENTLE SAVAGE have released a lyric video for their new single ‘YNAMW (You Never Ask Me Why)’, taken from the band’s upcoming debut album ‘Midnight Waylay’, out in February 2021.

“YNAMW ( You Never ask Me Why) lyric video was designed to boost the story without stealing any attention from the music. It continues the comic book theme Gentle Savage started with the Honey Bunny animation video. The making of the graphic world of YNAMW was inspired by guns, vampires and cowboys and the video builds up mostly on the lyrics. Sometimes simplicity is all that is needed. Video was animated by Tornados cousin Kristian K XP.”

Lead vocalist Tornado on the single:
“YNAMW (You Never Ask Me Why) started out as a funny triplet feel guitar riff with sound effects of whipping and wicked screaming. The first idea was to write a song with the feel of a Clint Eastwood type of a Western movie. While being on a sick leave, vocalist Tornado Bearstone watched The Twilight Saga (accidentally of course). Somehow the idea of superhuman powers, beauty and eternal love appealed to Tornado’s state of mind and a modern Cowboy – Vampire character was born in his imagination. So you can say that the story of You Never Ask Me Why was inspired by the movies.”

He continues, “As a composition YNAMW is somewhere between Gentle Savage’s songs Run Run Poor Boy and Karelian Magic. It has a melodic chorus that gives a good contrast to the quite bold and rhythmic feel of the verses. You can easily recognize it as a Gentle Savage song with the guaranteed sounds they are already known for. There’s plenty of interesting things going on both musically and story wise as the Cowboy – Vampire goes out looking for the one he loves! And bites.”

Gentle Savage’s debut album, ‘Midnight Waylay’ is coming out in February 2021. It’s a way of describing an ambush at midnight, or going to a rock show; you never know what’s going to happen out there.

Midnight Waylay depicts a ‘taking it easy in the daytime, turning into a beast at night’ kind of lifestyle. Just like a hunter strikes from the shadows, ruthless and silent, these songs can without warning rock your world.

As a concept the album Midnight Waylay is best appreciated when served whole, but each song has its own character and works well independently. Find your own adventure, let yourself loose!”

VADER: ‘Streaming Madness’ Show Available Online

Yesterday, December 30th, Polish death metal legends VADER streamed their extraordinary Toruń show, as a special Christmas gift for their fans, carried out thanks to the support from the COVID-19 pandemic fundraising. The show is now available on Massive Music’s Youtube Channel.

Just recently VADER issued the update on their future plans and projects, read below.

VADERMANIAX !!! We all know the global pandemic situation pretty well. Shows – which whole Heavy Metal needs like a fish needs water – are totally unreal at the moment. This problem is not going to change most likely for next half year and even if, all those handful of performances will be reduced to small clubs or venues with very limited number of places. It is all so painful, however it is the only way to clean up the air from the virus. We have to survive it and we WILL survive it! And for this waiting time we planed some interesting projects, which will help You to wait it out and us as a band to…survive. \m/
Yet in Spring together with our record label Nuclear Blast we will release long awaited re-edition of Vader 2nd album „De Profundis”! The record will be available in all formats, also – FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER – as LP. on vinyl! More info soon…

Our official online Vader-Store – in cooperation with die hard Vader Fans and materials delivered by Them – will release a series of unofficial and limited live recordings, which for sure will be a nice booty for collectors and a pearl for Vader Fans among Their record collections. A show from 2016 tour goes first under title: „Wings of Death over Hong Kong”. „Vol.1” will be available as DigiPack in middle of December! Release is limited to 500 copies. „Vol.2” will be ready in February 2021. „Vol.1” in vinyl format (limit 250 copies) should be available in February as well.
At the beginning of 2021 we plan also some very special online shows. These will be thematic and dedicated to specific releases. Some unique t-shirts and other merch will be available too.

MR SLEAZY Release Official Video For ‘Love me or Kill me’

Italian hard rockers MR SLEAZY released their new album “All Or Nothing” on July 10th via Volcano Records. Today the band has unleashed their new official video for ‘Love me or Kill me’ from the album, watch it below.

“Love me or Kill me is the story of an impossible, desperate and extreme love. An overwhelming passion that is consumed in tragedy, a musical “noir”, where unfortunately in the end it will not be love that wins, but death. We are very proud of this song and happy with the video clip, which fully represents the style of Mr Sleazy!”

The band was formed by Roberto Gambuti (aka Mr Sleazy), an italian drummer and poly instrumentalist. In 2012 the first studio album titled “The Sleazy Attraction”, 7 songs played entirely by Mr. Sleazy and sung by 7 different singers. IMPERIAL AGE’s new live DVD “LIVE ON EARTH: The Online Lockdown Concert” was recorded during their legendary online show, when people from all over the world were locked in their homes and didn’t really understand what to expect.

On 25th April, 2020 the band and their crew gathered in one of the studios in the city of Moscow. They had all the necessary documents to get through the police roadblocks and remarkable courage, because everything was closed and no-one seemed to be working at that time.

IMPERIAL AGE performed this special show for 3 hours, which was streamed all over the world and watched by 38.000 people (even in Antarctica) who donated $11,477 to the band, who had invested a lot of their own money into organizing this event. Together with the sells of the DVD the band made about 30.000 $ – and all this as and independent band.

“Live On Earth” was recorded with 5 video cameras and 32-channel audio multitrack, and now the DVD is out and ready to impress the band’s fans with 5.1 audio and 1080 (full HD) video. The DVD also includes a Q&A and a “Making of” as bonus.

IMPERIAL AGE are still doing everything DIY, keeping the complete artistic control and refusing offers from well-known labels over the years.

DAKAR is a rock band from Duval County, Florida, named after the street in the Murray Hill neighborhood where it was founded by David Benfield and Darrell Edmunds in 2015. The songwriting pair based their work in the style of 90s alternative and evolved from there, incorporating elements of indie, punk, modern, and southern rock with an unabashed penchant for pro-democracy, anti-facist, pro-diversity, anti-racist themes. Edmunds and Benfield recruited Luke Jean for drums and played locally for several years before releasing the EP Come and Get It in 2020. The group is currently recording new tracks for an EP/LP and booking live concert dates for spring and summer 2021.

SURVIVE released their latest full length album ‘Immortal Warriors’ worldwide on September 24th 2019, via Sliptrick Records.

Tokyo’s Thrash Heroes SURVIVE began life over 20 years ago and have forged their own indelible path within the jmetal scene. It was back in 1998, when former Death File guitarist and mastermind Nemo decided to form a thrash metal band of his own which soon became the juggernaut known as SURVIVE. Over the next two decades the band have played many big festivals (Loud Park, Beast Fest, Multiplex-motorbike event, Korean Live Rock, Formoz Festival, Asia Metal Festival, Dongducheon Rock Festival, Trendkill Extreme Feast, etc) and toured all over the world with acts such as Behemoth, United, Killswitch Engage, Dope, Pulling Teeth, Testament, Outrage, Anthrax, Hatebleed, Napalm Death, Amon Amarth, Venom Inc, At The Gates, to name just a few, cementing their place in Japanese metal history.
