Russian singer, pianist, composer Anna KiaRa of IMPERIAL AGE has been confirmed at Online Female Fest on May 13th 2021.
Anna KiaRa will join the virtual stage with Madame Mayhem, Linda Varg and other female artists that have already been confirmed.
The Online Female Fest aims at uniting female artists from different musical backgrounds (pop, rock, hard rock, electronica, heavy metal) in one event.
The proceeds of this year’s Online Female Fest will go to Progetto Itaca, that has been financing projects to help individuals struggling with their mental health and raising awareness on mental health issues for decades.
Anna KiaRa has been the lead singer of the Russian symphonic metal band Imperial Age since 2016. Imperial Age has toured with bands such as Orphaned Land and Therion. In 2019 she released her first single “Loneliness”, with her solo project KiaRa.
Russian symphonic metallers IMPERIAL AGE have released their new music video and single ‘Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend’.
IMPERIAL AGE says: “Dear friends! Our new surprise track is a Powerwolf cover sung by Jane Odintsova! You can now watch the video on YouTube and stream the track on all digital platforms!” Jane about the new track: “The idea for this song and video came spontaneously, we did not plan to do anything serious. I was training a new vocal style with my vocal coach and we decided to practice this song. And then we thought ok, while we are working on our new album “New World” – why not have a little fun and release something unusual in the process? So we recorded the song and made a cheeky music video just for the fun of it. We have been fans of Powerwolf for years – ever since they were the size of us right now playing the same venues – so we are also happy to express our admiration for their music and imagery in this way!”
In 2020 and 2021 the music industry looks devastated. Without concerts or any certainty for the future, it was a survival time for everyone. Under the pressure of adverse factors many artists quit music, some found themselves day jobs, several bands split altogether, while individual musicians even died.
However, at the very same time, a new star started rising up on the horizon – and this time, from the East.
Over the year of 2020 Russian symphonic metal masters IMPERIAL AGE literally managed to X7 their following everywhere, rising to prominence despite all the circumstantial adversity: millions of YouTube views, dozens of thousands of online show viewers (even from Antarctica!) and 5-digit sales of music worldwide… all while declining offers from the leading metal labels.
In 2020, IMPERIAL AGE was booked to play in EU, UK, North and South America but most of these dates were not even published due to obvious reasons…
As most other artists who decided to think positively and spend their time productively, IMPERIAL AGE used the opportunity to write new songs. The title of the new album is “New World”, and it is due to release in December 2021.
By 2022 most of the world will re-open, concerts will resume, and IMPERIAL AGE will embark on their biggest tour so far – the NEW WORLD TOUR 2022.
The first leg of this tour covers Western Europe in January 2022 with 17 concerts in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and the Netherlands and 4 shows in the UK (moved from 2020). More dates are expected to be added.
While they are working hard on their new album “New World”, Russian symphonic metallers IMPERIAL AGE decided to exercise a little bit and make a little present for you. So they have recorded a SURPRISE TRACK and shot a VIDEO for it!
The track will be released on 09th April 2021 on all streaming services. The video will be released the same day on YouTube. There will be no pre-save, no pre-order, and they will keep the song title and cover art secret until the release date.
Russian symphonic metal IMPERIAL AGE wish you a Merry Christmas & a fantastic New Year as well as show their way of staying merry and healthy – right there, in the middle of the Russian snowy forest!

IMPERIAL AGE’s new live DVD “LIVE ON EARTH: The Online Lockdown Concert” was recorded during their legendary online show, when people from all over the world were locked in their homes and didn’t really understand what to expect.
On 25th April, 2020 the band and their crew gathered in one of the studios in the city of Moscow. They had all the necessary documents to get through the police roadblocks and remarkable courage, because everything was closed and no-one seemed to be working at that time.
IMPERIAL AGE performed this special show for 3 hours, which was streamed all over the world and watched by 38.000 people (even in Antarctica) who donated $11,477 to the band, who had invested a lot of their own money into organizing this event. Together with the sells of the DVD the band made about 30.000 $ – and all this as and independent band.
“Live On Earth” was recorded with 5 video cameras and 32-channel audio multitrack, and now the DVD is out and ready to impress the band’s fans with 5.1 audio and 1080 (full HD) video. The DVD also includes a Q&A and a “Making of” as bonus.
IMPERIAL AGE are still doing everything DIY, keeping the complete artistic control and refusing offers from well-known labels over the years.
