Virginia-based crossover maniacs ENFORCED open their Century Media account with their blistering new album, “Kill Grid”. Informed by an incredible cross-section of extremes—from thrash and punk to death metal and hardcore—the emergent outfit drop a nine-song cluster-bomb of thrashing death on apathetic times.
Today they are unleashing a first taste of “Kill Grid”, check out the visualizer clip for “Hemorrhage” that will pay extra detail to the striking artwork by Joe Petagno (Motörhead, Vitriol and many more):
The band comments on the track: “The first half is about the death of innocence, or the death of an innocent person, due to the surge of distrust, outrage, and skepticism of a society”, says Knox Colby (vocals). “While people arrogantly and pompously saber rattle over trivial things, real people are getting hurt and caught in the crossfire.” Guitarist Will Wagstaff further explains: “Musically we wanted to write a song that was driving and pummeling and the original vibe to the beginning was ‘Death Camps’ Cro-Mags inspired. This was one of the first songs written and completed for the album.”
Preorders will be launched in early 2021.
“Kill Grid” came together over a two-year period while ENFORCED were marauding halls and dive bars across the East Coast and Canada. Indeed, inspiration came from different directions, but playing live with bands like Sacred Reich, Red Death, Iron Reagan, All Out War, and Integrity shaped what was to come out of the Richmonders. While it was the previous output that attracted the attention of Century Media, it’s “Kill Grid”, that’s going to put ENFORCED on top-lists of circle pit lunatics around the globe. To track their sophomore full-length, ENFORCED enlisted long-time friend and studio maven Bob Quirk (Iron Reagan) to engineer, as well as Philadelphia-based studio whiz Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Cavalera Conspiracy, Pissed Jeans, Eternal Champion, Ghostemane, Code Orange) to mix and master.
Formed in Richmond in 2017 out of shreds of disbanded hardcore and punk bands, ENFORCED quickly found their calling between the undying support of regional punk/hardcore scenes and their respective record collections. Whether it’s Sacred Reich and Integrity or Bolt Thrower and Amebix, “Pure Crossover Death,” as ENFORCED call their devastating din, devastatingly speared its way through two demos (“Demo 2017” and “Retaliation”) and their no-holds-barred debut, “At the Walls”.
Eclectic Norwegian hard rock band WHITE VOID are proud to release the first single, Do. Not. Sleep.,from their upcoming debut album Anti, out March 12th, 2021 on NUCLEAR BLAST. The pre-order for Anti has started.
Band leader and songwriter Lars Nedland (Borknagar, Solefald) comments:
“‘Do. Not. Sleep.‘ is about the strange mix of confusion, revolt and acceptance that follows the recognition of the absurdity of existence. Also, it’s about making the guitar driven hard rock of the 70s wrestle the new wave cockiness of the 80s. Like Charles Bronson fighting a peacock. You get the idea.
The video was shot during one intense day in October and was directed by yours truly and Magne Hage.
This is your introduction: Welcome to the Void.“
Tracklist:
1. Do. Not. Sleep. 2. There is No Freedom but the End 3. Where You Go, You’ll Bring Nothing 4. The Shovel and the Cross 5. This Apocalypse is for You 6. All Chains Rust, all Men Die 7. The Fucking Violence of Love 8. The Air was Thick with Smoke
WHITE VOID is absence of direction and sense in life. It’s a description of the fundamental disharmony between the individual’s search for meaning and the meaninglessness of the universe.Eclectic hard rockers WHITE VOID are a curious bunch. Forged in the space between the occult rock of the seventies, the no-excuses-hard rock of the eighties and the British New Wave movement, they balance on the event horizon that separates old from new. Aggression from melody. Dream from drive.
Add to that the fact that the bandmembers of WHITE VOID have their backgrounds in Norwegian black metal, chiptune electronica, pop music and blues, and you’ll see why Anti is an album that’s hard to pin down. It’s darkly melodic, it’s driven, and it’s infused with earworms, hooks and licks. Boasting a shameless attitude, though, it comes forth as deeply true to the core of our shared hard rock heritage.
In the center of WHITE VOID stands Lars Are Nedland, long time member of BORKNAGAR and SOLEFALD. Leading a team of musicians including Tobias Solbakk of IHSAHN fame, electronica staple Vegard Kummen and blues rock virtuoso Eivind Marum, he navigates the waters of hard rock riffs, new wave harmonies and blues rock solos with determination and elegance.
Still, Anti probably doesn’t sound like you think. It’s an album riddled with contrasts and references, musically as well as philosophically. The concept is based on Albert Camus’ Absurdism and deals with how you cope with an existence that is in its core absurd. Musically it draws on the past while forging towards the future. And the result? Well, enter the Void to find out!

Following their critically acclaimed debut EP “The Dawn Of Vitriol“, released on August 14th via Noble Demon, today MERCURY CIRCLE unleashed a brand new video for the track “Our Funeral (Like Xmas)” (get the single HERE), a song exclusively featured on “Noble Demonic Metal – Chapter 1“, a brand new label sampler by Noble Demon, celebrating its first anniversary (available HERE)!
Labeled as “a band you need to watch out for in 2021″, by Metal Hammer UK, and featuring members of Swallow The Sun and Children Of Bodom, MERCURY CIRCLE is creating a diverse offering of atmospheric and dark music where the songs differ wildly in expression and sonic aesthetics, establishing their very own kind of “New Doom”. While the band is working on their upcoming full length record right now (to be released in early 2021), they felt the need to take a break from the album sessions and to release something different, as Jaani Peuhu explains:
“Although I’m not a fan of Xmas songs, I found myself with the perfect opportunity to write one in the midst of everything going on in the world today. In parts, 2020 felt almost apocalyptic. Sadly, Christmas is the busiest day of the year for police, ambulances and paramedics in Finland and I’m afraid that this year might break all the records of domestic violence and suicide cases because of the pandemic. But since 2020 has already turned so much on its head, there’s hoping this year’s outlook on the holidays could prove me positively wrong. Compared to the heavy and dark sound of upcoming debut album, “Our Funeral (Like Xmas)” is the most uplifting song we have ever created. We wanted to take a groovier and happier approach to the music while the lyrics stayed on the gloomier side. We hope you enjoy it!
Happy Holidays! – Jaani, Jussi, Ande, Jaska and Juppe“

Dutch futuristic multi-metal eruption CRYPTOSIS are proud to present you the video to “Prospect of Immortality”.
Cryptosis comment:
“Prospect of Immortality is a song in which we used an experimental approach of songwriting. In contrast to other material, this song is a lot more atmospheric and doesn’t make use of a clear verse/chorus structure. The lyrics are written as a suicide note by a person who can no longer cope with the 24/7 surveillance and human experiments that she is being subjected too. The experiments and lost sense of reality has caused her to believe suicide is the only way out. Trapped inside a continuous cycle of endeavours, she is unable to succeed. The song consists of 5 chapters, each representing a different part of her reality.“
