On November 5th, Chicago-based Thrashers AFTERMATH presented their very own artistic ambition with a great deal of ingenuity – a very special Video Album: a 34 minute version of the full-length “There Is Something Wrong“, featuring all the previously made videos – and a fresh video for the title track. Watch below.

Lyric Videos by George at Great Heights Design Video Studio
Lyric Video for “Smash Reset Control” by Joshua Allan Vargas
Video for “Diethanasia” by Davo

Video Album track list 🎬:
🎥 01. False Flag Flying
🎥 02. Diethanasia
🎥 03. Scientists And Priest
🎥 04. Smash Reset Control
🎥 05. Gaslight
🎥 06. Temptation Overthrown
🎥 07. Pseudocide
🎥 08. There Is Something Wrong

AFTERMATH explain the thematic background of the new Video Album:
“‘There Is Something Wrong‘ is a concept album that is meant to challenge the listeners and to unsettle them. It is dark, complex, angry, sad, and yet hopeful. The lyrics and message throughout the album are a wake-up call to everyone. The intro, interludes and outro are part of the message. We are still a band, though, and without the actual songs none of it would matter; so, we decided to make a video for each song on the album excluding the intro, interludes, and outro. We now unleash the ‘There Is Something Wrong video album‘. We extracted just the music. We removed the extras and allow the listener to listen to the music. It’s a 34-minute musical soundscape. It’s even angrier this way. It’s more urgent. It’s a locomotive already at full speed. Listen closely and you will realize 2020 is just the beginning.”

Chicago’s AFTERMATH is one of the pioneering crossover Thrash bands of the 1980s: a band that transformed into one of the most technical Thrash Metal bands of its time on its critically-acclaimed debut album, “Eyes Of Tomorrow”.

UNTAMED LAND Sign Worldwide Record Deal With Napalm Records

Napalm Records is pleased to welcome a unique new discovery from the depths of the metal underground to its growing roster. The world’s very first black metal band incorporating the feral, desolate sounds of classic, old western cinematics – UNTAMED LAND – has just inked a worldwide record deal with the premier rock and metal label.

UNTAMED LAND explores yet uncharted territory, evoking the sound and atmosphere of classic Spaghetti Western soundtracks with a crushing black metal foundation. Based in Akron, Ohio, USA, Patrick Kern, the exceptional mind behind UNTAMED LAND, merges the seemingly infinite sonic environment of the Wild West with crushing rhythms and the sweeping force of cinematic scores à la Ennio Morricone.

Now, after releasing their debut album, Between The Winds, in 2018, UNTAMED LAND is currently working on their second full-length album – more to be announced soon.

Patrick Kern of UNTAMED LAND states:
“I’m incredibly honored and excited to be working with this legendary label. Napalm Records has worked with so many amazing bands and has been an enduring part of the story of metal music. To have the opportunity to be a part of this legacy is absolutely unbelievable and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported this project. Stay tuned for a new adventure coming soon.”

Napalm Records A&R Sebastian Muench states:
“UNTAMED LAND is one of the most exciting new bands we came across in recent years and is a perfect blend of Summoning, Caladan Brood with a touch of a post-apocalyptic world feel in the style of the Marshall Bravestarr TV-series. Welcome to the Napalm family!”

MOS GENERATOR To Reissue Song Collection “The Lantern”

Tony Reed’s MOS GENERATOR, who formed in 2000 in Port Orchard, Washington from the ashes of a ten year off & on collaboration between it’s three members, all of which are long time veterans of road & studio, inspired the heavy music scene since decades.

The need to strip down to the basics of hard rock was apparent from their start and continues to be the foundation for all the bands recent material. Mos Generator have released 9 full length studio albums, a retrospective album, 2 live albums and a plethora of split 7″ and 12” singles on such labels as Listenable, Roadburn, Small Stone, Ripple, Nasoni, Lay Bare, Hevi Sike, H42, Devil‘s Child, Kozmik Artifactz, Heavy Psych Sounds or just recently, their critically acclaimed split LP with Sludge maniacs Di’Aul via Argonauta Records.

Touring has been just as important to the profile of the band as making records has. Over the years Mos Generator has shared the stage with many great heavy rock bands across Europe and North America including extensive tours with Saint Vitus, FU Manchu, Elder, Spirit Caravan and Atomic Bitchwax. They have also played prestigious festivals throughout Europe including 2 appearances at Hellfest in France, opening up a whole new fan base to the Mos Generator sound.

After 20 years of making music the band shows no sign of slowing down. Now, the band has announced to reissue a finest collection of songs, taken from Mos Generator’s pathbreaking 2007-album, “Tales from the Vault”! Re-mastered and with its blistering new mix, “The Lantern” sounds like a different album and as you have never heard the band before, this exciting collection of tracks will be a definite must-have in every Mos Generator, heavy rock and doom metal record collection. “The Lantern” will be coming out as a limited Vinyl edition only, on February 26th 2021 via Argonauta Records, the pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!

“The Lantern is a collection of songs that were originally released in 2007 on a 10” picture disc as Tales from The Vault.” Says band mastermind, Tony Reed. “The original album has been long out of print so it’s great to be re-releasing these tracks with new mixes and new artwork. The recording sessions, from June 2006, took place in our rehearsal room and capture us live playing brand new songs. A few of them were arranged only a day or two before the sessions started. I think this element makes the songs sound reckless and raw. There is an atmosphere on this record that doesn’t exist on any other Mos Generator release.”

Album Tracklist:

01. Dyin’ Blues
02. In The Upper Room
03. The Lantern
04. Nightwolf
05. O’Cataa

KNOLL Release Debut Single ‘Scattered Prism’

Ripping out of the Memphis underground with their debut single is KNOLL. A group of college-age musicians have crafted their take on grindcore-meets-death metal – adding their own twists on the genre, and sparing nothing in their razor sharp delivery. Today they have released their debut single, Scattered Prism, which is available to stream now on all digital platforms.

Listen on Bandcamp | Listen on Spotify | Listen on Apple Music

Of the single, the band comment:
“Scattered Prism is the first in a series of sonic batterings spanning the winter months. We recorded it as a fragment of a much larger piece, encompassing the first iterations of experiments with sound and its geometry. The track is descriptive of an innumerably sided prism that expands and contracts, permeating the psyche as a manifestation of intrusive thought.”

Scattered Prism is a precursor for future missives from KNOLL, but it’s more than enough to get your teeth into. Offering up discordant aggression and oppressive atmosphere, Scattered Prism is the first work to emerge from recording sessions with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recordings, in Chicago, IL, this past summer.  The song was then mixed by Kurt Ballou and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

Despite present circumstances curtailing their live activity, they have already notched up performances with The Black Dahlia Murder, Negative Approach, Sanguisugabogg, Today Is The Day and more heavy hitters. Until conditions allow for their live aural assault to recommence, KNOLL in a recorded form is just the blistering experience needed to tide us over.

Scattered Prism is self-released on November 6, with further music set for release in due course.
