Melbourne Australia’s ZENITH MOON have created quite a stir over the last few months by releasing 3 critically acclaimed singles Going Under,Gypsy and Fight For Me via Golden Robot Records.
Zenith Moon’s latest single, Illuminate is a run in with self-doubt. When doubt settles in, the very things that give you joy can become your greatest nightmare. Illuminate is about seeing your way through the darkness.
Drawing from indie-rock and dream-pop, Illuminate is as soft as the rising sun. With a groove built upon African cross rhythms, Andie (drums/keys) throws his full musical weight behind the kit, making every note heavy with emotion. Kalliope (vocals) is powerful yet beautifully intimate in her performance and Matt (guitars) juxtaposes beautiful colour and an emotive rawness that delicately draws you in.
An unmistakably powerful offering, Illuminate is the swan song of doubt, one that will settle under your skin for a long time to come.
ZENITH MOON is the collaborative efforts of fretboard nomad Matt (guitar), astrologically colliding with Kahli (vocals) and Andie (drums). All three bring a different influence to the table: Kahli lifts smooth vocals straight from the late Mrs Franklin then smashes it with 70’s rock, 90’s RnB and modern pop, Andie brings the drum kit to the forefront with dizzyingly sensational rhythms spawned by progressive rock and jazz fusion, and Matt ties things together with soulful licks – his roots are grown all the way to depths of blues (with a scenic detour or two via Pink Floyd).
The one thing that unites them all is a motivating desire to express themselves as honestly as they know how. They’re here to lighten the mood, make you cry, make you dance, and most of all, make you nod your head up and down while you say “Mmmm, that’s the stuff.”
Extreme Belarusian Avant Garde duo MORA PROKAZA are now premiering a brand new music video for the song “I See It This Way,” which is taken from the band’s 2020 release, ‘By Chance.’ The provocative new video, which was created by MORA PROKAZA, can be seen at THIS LOCATION.
MORA PROKAZA comments: “No borders. No warders. I See It This Way.“
The up and coming experimental duo combine the ferocious sounds of black metal with the street vibes of trap, tinges of industrial, and out-of-the-box instrumentation, creating a sound that is wholly unique and groundbreaking that you must hear it for yourself to truly grasp the artistic genius behind the Belarusian outfit.
‘By Chance’ is out now and can be streamed, downloaded, and purchased HERE.

“What an enlightening conversation,” BraveWords Founder/CEO “Metal” Tim Henderson says happily. “We’ve been honored to have a relationship with Rob and the band for nearly three decades, helping promote one of the greatest heavy metal bands in music history. But this is a side I’ve never witnessed, his new book Confess being a deeply personal moment for the Metal God and a must-read. We dig very deep into his past, gay marriage, Judas Priest at 50+, the new studio record and the fact that Stained Class and Van Halen I were released on the same day in 1978, so plenty of Eddie Van Halen idolization! I’m certain you’ll find the conversation as entertaining as I did! And how fitting is it that our first “Metalhead To Head” interview on Streaming For Vengeance is Judas Priest-related!”
Iowa-based rock quartet SAUL — brothers Blake Bedsaul [lead vocals] and Zach Bedsaul [lead guitar, backup vocals], William McIlravy [bass, backup vocals], and Myles Clayborne [drums] — have shared the video for the title track from Rise As Equals. The album is out now.
The footage was filmed on “Saul Day” in the band’s hometown of Sutherland and it as a true exchange of energy between the band and its fans, known as “Equals.”
“The Equals traveled from states away to our little hometown in Northwest Iowa to be a part of this video,” says Blake. “There was an energy during the whole day that felt like electricity. Everyone was buzzing and happy. This was more than a music video shoot. This is what happiness looks like.”
2020 has been a wild ride for Saul — as much as it has been for most of the world but the band has reached a professional and personal summit with the release of Rise As Equals. Ever since releasing the single “Brother” as unknowns and watching it climb to No. 1 on SiriusXM’s Octane, the band has slowly but steadily built a passionate fanbase, one that even traveled to be a part of the video shoot for a song and record that specifically references them by name. Saul’s journey thus far is crystalized by the video, which demonstrates the direct connection with fans during a time when human beings are in most need of exactly that.
Watch the futuristic and cinematic video for the lead single “King of Misery” here or here. It serves as the band’s second No. 1 at SiriusXM’s Octane and is continuing to ascend the national radio charts.

JSP RECORDS is pleased to announce the release of a new two-CD retrospective set, ROCK N’ ROLL SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, featuring one of the greatest and most enduring 1980’s all female New Wave rock bands, THE CATHOLIC GIRLS. This title will be released on Friday, November 20, 2020.
This exciting anthology covers recordings made from 1979 to 2017, including superb remixes of songs from their ground-breaking 1982 debut album “Catholic Girls.” It also presents 23 fully restored, previously unreleased recordings comprised of demos, alternates and five great never-before-heard songs (including the title track), as well as a compilation of songs drawn from their subsequent albums. All 41 tracks are newly remixed and remastered by acclaimed audio engineer John H. Haley of Harmony Restorations LLC assisted by Vincent J. Mazella.
The detailed 20-page booklet provides a history of THE CATHOLIC GIRLS, together with numerous photos from their extensive career. In the early 1980’s, they were among the first of the all female New Wave bands who were signed by major labels (in their case, MCA), which would include such girl groups as the Go-Go’s, Bananarama and the Bangles. In a rock music world defined by transience, THE CATHOLIC GIRLS have persisted, continuing to produce distinctive, original music.
All of their songs and lyrics are by lead singer GAIL PETERSEN, and none of the recordings heard in this set could possibly be mistaken for the work of any other group. For almost four decades, THE CATHOLIC GIRLS have broken all the rules and rocked the house, with sheer power, iron-willed longevity, tenacity and unforgettable music.
