Irish RESTIVE NATION Release Video For New Single ‘I’m Sorry’

Irish progressive experimentalists RESTIVE NATION have released their video for new single ‘I’m Sorry’, watch it below.

Continuously pushing boundaries and cross-pollination genres with their own unique electronic/progressive interpretations, RESTIVE NATION continue to surprise with this brand new single.

‘I’m Sorry’ sees the band take a dark and melancholic journey into a hybrid of Massive Attack and Nine Inch Nails with a side of Crosses /Tool  floating in and out of a dream-like, post punk daydream. As an isolated new track [not featured on their recently released ‘Lucidum’ EP], ‘Im Sorry’ shows the band venturing into darker landscapes, exploring the inner-working of the human psyche, thanks to the chilling vocals of Dave Lee of Irish Heavy Progressive crew, Raum Kingdom.

The band commented on the track:
“I’m Sorry is a track that was written by Dave Lee’s solo project Sombre Motion in 2012. Dave would go on to form the heavy as f**k Raum Kingdom in 2013. We collaborated with Dave before on our 2017 single ‘Murmur’ and while we were working together we came across his hauntingly beautiful track ‘I’m Sorry’. Upon hearing it we just had to have it as part of the Restive Nation repertoire. We asked Dave if we could adopt it into Restive Nation and he was more than happy to oblige”.

About the lyrical content Dave said: “It’s about doing wrong so much that even when you’ve done right, you still have to eat the blame”.
This song marks the end of an era for Restive Nation as it is their last musical collaboration with an outside artist for the foreseeable future.

Regarding the video (to be released on 16th) the band commented:
“We thought it would be cool to give the track to Dublin-based independent film maker Tom Maher for his own artistic interpretation. Usually we’d be very explicit about what we want when it comes to themes, but we were keen to see how Tom would exhibit the track visually and we absolutely love this slow-burn tension piece; it’s completely different to anything we would have dreamt up and it’s a great representation of how well things can go once you let go and relinquish control.”

‘I’m Sorry’ is set for release on Friday October 16th and will be the final single/video from the band before a series of new material which is scheduled to be released in Jauary 2021.

ESCAPE THE FATE have released the new song “Invincible” to herald the start of the pre-order campaign for the band’s upcoming album, Chemical Warfare. The new single features critically-acclaimed, fan favorite,  American violinist, songwriter, and dancer Lindsey Stirling.  “Invincible” will appear on the soundtrack to THE RETALIATORS, a high-octane horror/thriller due out in 2021. Vocalist Craig Mabbit also makes an appearance as an undercover cop in the film alongside some of rock’s biggest names including the members of Five Finger Death Punch, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Tommy Lee among others.

LISTEN TO “INVINCIBLE” HERE:https://etf.ffm.to/invincible

“Invincible”, is the perfect word to use in describing ESCAPE THE FATE, the band has survived personnel changes and the cancellation of their tours due to the pandemic.  The band has been consistently releasing new music for well over a decade to their audience of over 4 Million dedicated social media followers.  On November 20th the band will do a streaming concert, LIVE worldwide, performing their greatest hits and songs from their forthcoming album.  Tickets can be purchased on www.escapethefate.com now!

ESCAPE THE FATE is a three-word phrase synonymous with heavy rock n’ roll and hooks, post-hardcore with weight, and unrelenting genre-redefining anthems built for diverse audiences. Over a decade into their young career, they have proven to move crowds equally at major rock radio festivals, the legendary Vans Warped Tour, or on the road with Five Finger Death Punch. Craig Mabbitt, Kevin Thrasher, TJ Bell, and Robert Ortiz have each been making music, and on the road, before they were old enough to drive.  It’s what has made the band’s message transcend any sense of “difference” in genre, all around the world, touring with Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Papa Roach, I Prevail, Bullet For My Valentine, Hollywood Undead, HELLYEAH, All That Remains, and on multiple Vans Warped Tours.

With the addition of world-renowned Violinist Lindsey Sterling’s expert musicianship which is brought to the forefront at the end of the song, ESCAPE THE FATE was able to create a softer touch to a high-intensity track.  Ortiz speaks about having Stirling on the new track, “She is an angel – she has so much light in her.  But the primary reason I wanted to work with her… strictly speaking musically, she is gnarly – her music is epic.” Lindsey is a multi-faceted artist who has billions of views on her popular YouTube channel.

“I loved working with the guys! I originally started out by playing with rock bands, so this took me back to some fond memories from my past times. As I’ve learned more about their stories as individuals and as a band, it’s cool that they truly represent fighting through darkness to find and chose light,” says Stirling.

With “Invincible” and the forthcoming album Chemical Warfare, ESCAPE THE FATE has created some of their best music to date.  .  Made together with A-list producer John Feldmann (5 Seconds Of Summer, The Used), Chemical Warfare delivers an arsenal of driving bangers and melodic ballads that are among the best of the hard rock world.  It’s still about a good time, but with a deeper meaning.  Each member of the band has grown as a musician over the years, from Craig’s powerful vocals to Kevin “Thrasher” Gruft’s production prowess.

Known for their live shows that make that emotional impact on fans; authentic, visceral, and electric connection that keeps people coming back every time. That is what is at the heart of what they are about. The guys in the band understand what it means to be broken, from childhood trauma, to the tumultuousness of the music biz, and they know how music can heal.

“Invincible” as a song points to all of that and sends the message to the listener to stand up, move forward, and keep going.  The new single follows the release of “Walk On”, which was featured in the recently released in connection with Better Noise Film’s, SNO BABIES.

COUSIN BETTY Release Official Video For ‘Drone’

COUSIN BETTY is the brainchild of Damien Stofka a guitarist/songwriter, who has created riffs and written songs for Molten Universe, Death Mattel, LITTER and various other projects for the last 15 years.

Drone, which is out now via Golden Robot Records, is the debut single from the upcoming EP Left. Drone is a meaty slab of distorted, psychedelic, influenced indie desert rock, and the offical video is equally impressive.

“After listening to Drone, our writer/director Ashleigh Hanley, knew he wanted the lyrics to tell one story, but the music video to tell another. Ash is a storyteller at heart and wanted weave a modern day love story and social media filters together. The concept he wanted to explore was what if we could apply these filters in real life. Could we still find real love behind the fakery?”
– Cousin Betty

Given Ash’s background in scriptwriting and short films, (Pig Boy, 2017 and Second Hand, 2014) he knew he didn’t want to shoot the band standing around playing instruments. He wanted to tell a story.

Extensive research into Instagram and snapchat filters allowed him to construct a story based on what was currently trending on these social platforms. Next was working out how to shoot this clip in order to make our characters look like they were trapped inside their social media accounts. This meant 27 wardrobe changes, 17 hairstyles and 10 makeup looks plus the 20 filters and animations to create in post production.

“An ambitious project being super organised and thinking outside the box on shoot day allowed us to create a world that we haven’t seen in a music video before.”

ABOUT COUSIN BETTY

Damien Stofka (guitarist/songwriter), has created riffs and written songs for Molten Universe, Death Mattel, LITTER and various other projects for the last 15 years. Less interested in a standard line-up and the logistics required to be in a functioning band and also inspired by the  Desert Sessions, he spent his downtime compiling albums worth of material with contributing artists and performers he liked.

From these sessions micro-bands would form to present these songs live; touring with such bands as The Psychotic Turnbuckles, Doc Neeson and The Lime Spiders – having also used their rhythm section to record with. While the recordings have featured several musicians, the core live line-up has comprised of Frontman Matt Downey (Death Mattel) and rhythm sections comprised of Pat Walker (Ohms, Methusela), Tony Bambach(Lime Spiders, Aberration), Ged & Tom Corben (Lime Spiders) and Chris Drane (Cash Savage, Cherrywood). The line ups and shows have varied for each tour to include a DJ, visuals and themed stage sets.

TOMMY LEE’s ‘ANDRO’ Out Now

TOMMY LEE has released his highly-anticipated new album ‘ANDRO’.

The making of ANDRO, “the year’s most galvanizing electro / hip hop record,” according to Alternative Press, was an adventure of musical discovery. On this record, we see one of rock’s most notorious drummers Tommy Lee step behind the board, seeking new talent from all over the talent from all over the world to enhance the high-energy music created in the time between tours with Mötley Crüe.

The music on ANDRO truly represents the music that Tommy was meant to make – and reveals the depth and range of his musical fascinations. The songs represent the male and female sides of music – equally important and equally powerful, influencing the name of the album, ANDRO.  Androgyny is a combination of the essences of male and female genders and ANDRO is the musical manifestation of the concept.

With elements of hip-hop, electronic, pop, industrial, and rock combined with nearly any other genre you can think of, ANDRO was created as an emotional release for this challenging year of 2020. Tommy and guests tackle these musical genre-bending bold tracks, in-your-face beats and high-level production. “I have a list of people I’ve always wanted to work with. It’s a long list!  I’m a big fan of the underdog because there are people who are so talented out there. Because of the way things are now, it is just so fucking hard to cut through the abundance of music and fucking noise that is out there. Some of the artists I most love really struggle to see the light of day.

But not everyone on Andro is an underdog. The album also features Lee’s remix of “Tommy Lee” the eponymous track by Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh that was certified Gold earlier this month.  Tommy’s driving remix was created with the help of John 5 on guitars and produced along with his son, Dylan Lee.  The track has been featured on ESPN throughout the NBA playoffs

Tommy’s ability to expertly bring together musicians from multiple genres, countries, and backgrounds has awarded him with an album that sounds like nothing that has come before it. The video for Mickey Avalon’s  “Caviar on A Paper Plate” was filmed recently in Los Angeles and it features Avalon doing his very own rendition of the garage attendants in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with Tommy’s wrapped Rolls Royce.  “Working with everyone was awesome!  They all took great lead from me, being that I am such a professional,” laughs Avalon.  The video is a prequel to a Tik Tok posted by Lee and his wife, Brittany Furlan Lee, earlier this week.

“This pandemic has put a new spin on just about everything we do, and music is always the cure for what we go through. ANDRO can definitely help ease what fucking ails ya’ll,” Tommy says.

TOLEDO STEEL Announce New Studio Album “Heading For The Fire”, Release New Lyric Video

“After a monumental year for us gigging all over Europe in 2019, it was time for us to take that momentum and energy into the studio to record our second album “Heading For The Fire”. This led to us combining the foundations of the band’s sound with some fresh elements and ideas to create a new and exciting record. Once again we recorded with our long term engineer Mike Taylor who knows how to get the best out of us, this time with our founding bassist Felix Dock back in the band. We were also excited to be working with Enforcer’s Olof Wikstrand for the first time who’s done a great job with the mix. 2020 has been a strange year to say the least but we’ve made the most of it and we can’t wait to hit the stage again full force with these new songs in the set!”

“Heading For The Fire” will be released on February 12, 2021, via Dissonance Productions.

Lyric video for the single “Into The Unknown” can be watched here:
