TERAMAZE have released a new single and video ‘Arrow’.
Arrow is one of those songs that’s stayed true to itself from day one. Back in the demo phase, we called it ‘The Hit’ and honestly, not much has changed. It always had that undeniable, straight-to-the-heart energy, and it still carries that same spirit now. This track is our love letter to the ‘90s era of pop rock, when songs ruled the airwaves with big emotion and even bigger hooks. Think along the lines of Goo Goo Dolls or Daughtry, those softer, ballad-driven rock singles that hit just as hard as anything heavy. Arrow leans into that space. Melodic, honest, and built to stick with you. It’s easily become one of our favourite songs we’ve written, not just because of its sound, but because of how naturally it came together. It feels familiar in the best way, and we think it’ll hit you the same.
For The Metal Voice the man on the street Kenny Kessel caught up with LIVING COLOUR’s guitarist Vernon Reid in New York.
When asked about a new Living Colour Album and when to expect it “The answer is yes. It’s going to be 2027 at the least. That be the soonest.”
When asked if Frankie Bello was helping them write the new music “Yes.”
When asked about his participation in BLACK SABBATH’s final show (Back to the Beginning) “Tom (Morello) reached out. We didn’t know that it was literally going to be the last Ozzy show. And I got a chance to do War Pigs (And Bark at the Moon) . It was beautiful. And with Rudy Sarzo who’s the best. Yeah. What a wonderful cat. Nice. Nice.”

About W.A.S.P. Few Bands in the history of Rock N’ Roll have ever incited the love, the hate, the raw emotional effect this Band has had on the world. From the very beginning, in the small venues of Los Angeles California, and later to the numerous countries worldwide that banned these Winged Assassins from performing live, the Band’s unique style of Shock and Rock caused Religious organizations, Local City Councils, Parliaments, and the Washington D.C. Senate to hold hearings in an effort to bar this group from selling records and trashing stages everywhere they played.
The band’s founding member, frontman Blackie Lawless, has led the group as its lead vocalist and primary songwriter since its beginning. His unique brand of visual, social and political comment took the group to worldwide heights and sold millions of records alongside a legacy of sold out shows across the globe for 4 decades.
Italian post-metal act IVOIRE have unveiled their new single “Sotto La Cenere”, now exclusively premiering via Everything Is Noise, offering a further glimpse into their upcoming debut album “Uragano”, due out on May 8th, 2026.
Balancing tension and release with a refined sense of dynamics, “Sotto La Cenere” highlights the band’s ability to merge post-metal foundations with darker, more visceral edges, reinforcing IVOIRE’s emerging identity as a compelling voice within the contemporary underground.
With “Uragano”, the band shape a personal expressive language in which a solid post-metal foundation intertwines with an intricate interplay of tension and texture, opening up to further shades that include black metal elements and atmospheric passages. The result is a thick and shadowy sound, oppressive yet never static, capable of suddenly opening into waves of melancholy, rarefied passages and moments of almost contemplative suspension. It is precisely within this unstable balance between impact and fragility, fury and introspection, that the album finds its deepest identity.
“Uragano” was born in December 2021, when Nicolò Lenoci, founder of IVOIRE and, up to that point, the project’s main songwriter, decided to put a series of personal reflections into words. From that intimate yet unavoidable creative urgency, the first embryonic ideas for the songs began to emerge, eventually forming the backbone of the album. The record developed as a process of surfacing, in which inner tensions, visions and emotional fragments gradually took shape as a coherent and lacerating sonic narrative.
From a musical standpoint, the album moves between post-metal, sludge and black metal influences, alternating moments of overwhelming intensity with more rarefied and atmospheric sections. Harsh vocals intertwine with ambient passages and spoken-word moments, feeding a constant contrast between implosion and release, violence and reflection. The concept behind “Uragano” revolves around decay and the exploration of the boundary between destruction and catharsis: an imagery that does not end with the writing of the songs, but also extends into the live dimension, conceived as a natural continuation of the world evoked by the record.
The full-length features, alongside Nicolò Lenoci, Antonio Caggese on vocals and Giovanni Solazzo (Turangalila, Duocane) on drums. Further enriching the album are Fabrizio Cioce (Zolfo), appearing in the outro of “Sotto la Cenere”, and Michael Anthony Foti (Die Sünde), who wrote the lyrics for and performed vocals on “Chimera”. Together, these contributions broaden the album’s emotional scope and reinforce its collective dimension while remaining firmly rooted in a clearly defined artistic vision.
In 2025, the project finally found its definitive line-up with the permanent addition of Sebastiano Liso on guitar, Cipo (The Apulian Blues Foundation) on drums and Francesco Bizzoca (Sürd, A Violet Pine) on bass. This is the line-up with which IVOIRE present themselves today, ready to accompany the release of “Uragano” and bring its full expressive force to the stage.
With “Uragano”, IVOIRE deliver a debut that seeks no compromise: a visceral, bleak and deeply human record that descends into the cracks and turns them into sound.

AFTERLIFE — Tyler Levenson (vocals), Andrew McGuire [guitar], Luke Walkinshaw [drums], and Tristan Edwards [bass] — have bad habits and they’re sharing them! The band has just dropped the video for their frenetic and gloriously glitchy new single “Bad Habits.”
“‘Bad Habits’ is about realizing that your behavior or vices are negatively impacting the people around you,” explains Levenson. “It captures the struggle between denial and self-awareness, ultimately becoming a cry for help. As people, we all struggle with life and the unfortunate circumstances it brings. Sometimes the ways we cope, the ways we ‘get by’ can become harmful, not only to ourselves but to those around us.”
He continues, “One of my favorite deliveries in the song takes place in Verse Two, where I intensely describe my battle with denial: ‘Then I put a fake face on, ’cause I’m headed to a place that I gotta get away from / Can you help me get away from all the pain, the doubt, the fear that traps me here?’ The song is a perfect description of how I was feeling on a day-to-day basis at various points in my life.”
Also, Afterlife were just added to Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida. They will appear on Thursday, May 7.
Upon solidifying their lineup back in the 2017s, the members of Afterlife bonded over influences like Slipknot, Linkin Park, and Papa Roach as they cultivated their own sound. As a unit, they locked into a groove and dropped the Vicious Cycle EP that same year. Speaking to the excitement around the band, they sold out their very first headline gig: the EP’s release show. Catalyzing their momentum, they hit the studio with producer Zakk Cervini [Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Poppy] and dropped their debut album Breaking Point during 2019.
Pushing forward, they evolved once again with the full-length Part of Me [2021]. Beyond amassing millions of streams, they’ve shared stages with the likes of Ice Nine Kills, From Ashes To New, Crown The Empire, Bury Tomorrow, Rise Of The Northstar, Zero 9:36, and more. Gracing the bills of some of the country’s biggest rock festivals, they’ve ignited Welcome To Rockville, Louder Than Life, Inkcarceration Festival (Main Stage), Shiprocked Cruise, and Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Meanwhile, they have received widespread critical acclaim from Alternative Press, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Revolver, Loudwire, Substream Magazine, Knotfest, and more.
In 2024, the band independently released their smashing single “Bleed You Dry,” opening the door to a surge virality on TikTok. Afterlife premiered the song live for the first time ever at Welcome To Rockville, and it remains a live staple. Moreover, “Bleed You Dry” quickly piled up north of 15 million collective streams and views.
Renowned for explosive live shows, witnessing one gig was all it took for Mascot Records to sign them in 2025. Shortly after inking their deal, the group hit the studio with producers Zach Jones [Crown The Empire, Nothing More, We Came As Romans, Pop Evil] and Austin Coupe [Papa Roach, The Devil Wears Prada, Thousand Below, Moodring].
GÅTE are one of the most distinct bands to come out of Norway. Starting in the early 2000s, the band broke new ground by mixing Nordic folk tradition and modern rock. In 2002, their debut album entered at #1 on the Norwegian Albums chart and won them the Spellemann Award (Norwegian Grammy) for Best Newcomer. Following two more successful albums, the band took a hiatus before returning in 2017 to critical acclaim and sold-out performances. They represented Norway in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest and toured throughout Europe in 2025 with Leprous.
As they open a new chapter with Season of Mist, today, Gåte are releasing “Sannsiger”, the first single from their soon-to-be-announced sixth studio album. Featuring Maria Franz from Season of Mist labelmate Heilung, the song sets a decisive tone for what the band has in store. It weaves Hardanger fiddle and nyckelharpa into their contemporary sound, threading together into an intense and immersive expression that’s shaped by repetition, tension and ritual movement.

“Signing with Season of Mist reflects a shared ambition to work without compromise and with a long-term vision for reaching an international audience”, Gåte says. “The title of our new single, ‘Sannsiger’, is a figure who is found in folklore and belief systems across cultures. They are understood as someone who interprets signs, visions and divine messages, in order to foresee what lies ahead. Within the context of this song, they also represent those who dare to speak uncomfortable truths. Throughout history, and still today, such voices have often been silenced, punished or attacked for challenging what others wish to keep hidden”.
“‘Sannsiger’ hit me from the very first moment that I heard it”, Heilung vocalist Maria Franz says. “The song’s raw energy immediately resonated with me. I’ve been a fan of Gåte for many years, so accepting the invitation was a no-brainer. The band were wonderful to work with, and I’m very excited to hear the rest of their upcoming album”.
In anticipation of their upcoming new album, today, Gåte are also announcing a fall headline tour. The tour will bring the band to nine cities across Norway, plus one date in Istanbul, Turkey. During this ten date run, they will perform “Sannsiger”, along with other new songs and fan favorites from their celebrated discography.

Rooted in the intersection of Nordic folk tradition and contemporary rock, Gåte have spent over two decades developing a sound that feels both ancient and fiercely present. Drawing on centuries-old ballads, oral traditions and traditional vocal forms, the band transform these sources into music that is physical, emotionally direct and unmistakably their own.
“Gåte have been drawing from traditional music and transforming it with modern means into something new right from their beginning”, Metal Hammer writes.
Rather than treat tradition as a fixed reference, Gåte approach it as a living force. Old material is not preserved for its own sake, but reworked and recontextualized, allowing it to resonate with contemporary urgency and relevance.
“Our music comes from a place where tradition is not something fixed, but something alive” the band says. “We draw from old sources because they still speak to us, and because they allow us to express something honest and human today.”
