Swedish Melodic Death Metal pioneers DARK TRANQUILLITY have unleashed the second single “Identical To None” from their 12th full – length album “Moment”, out November 20th via Century Media.

The band comments:

“Check out the next single from our upcoming album “Moment”. This one is a celebration of diversity and a condemnation of nearsighted division. Enjoy!”

“Moment” will be available in various formats and can be pre – ordered HERE

Special Edition Band Exclusive Vinyl Version (Smartsleeve Inside-out 2LP Gatefold, 4-page booklet with liner notes, signed art print. Poster, one LP in marbled blue, one LP in marbled orange, hand-numbered by the band) only available through the band’s official merch store.

It’s been four years since the (Swedish) Grammy-nominated album, “Atoma,” but the time between was creative, innovative, and adventurous. The stalwarts welcomed two top-tier guitarists—Christopher Amott (ex-Arch Enemy) and Johan Reinholdz (Nonexist)—while writing a stunning cluster of songs that not only push Dark Tranquillity’s boundaries outward but also strongly typify the Swedes’ sonic fingerprint. Recorded at Nacksving Studios and Rogue Music by Martin Brändström and then mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, “Moment” is a riveting yet challenging journey from start to finish. Join Dark Tranquillity as they unveil their defining moment!

Acclaimed modern metal outfit BLEED FROM WITHIN are releasing the audio and video of a live version of the fan-favourite “Into Nothing”. Both were captured during a very special production that the band set up as a virtual support slot opening up for Lamb Of God a few weeks ago.

The song is available on all digital platforms and you can check out the video here:

“Into Nothing (Live in 2020)” works as an appetizer for the full show, entitled “Viral Hysteria”, that is available now via the band’s website https://bleedfromwithin.com..

The band comments: “Taken from the virtual support slot with Lamb Of God and part of the full production headline show ‘Viral Hysteria’, this video marks the band’s first live performance of ‘Into Nothing’; the second single from our latest album ‘Fracture’.  ‘Viral Hysteria’ premiered live on FRIDAY 16TH OCTOBER 2020 at 19:00 UTC / 20:00 BST / 21:00 CET and is available on demand for a limited time following the stream. Virtual tickets and exclusive merchandise bundles can be found at BLEEDFROMWITHIN.COM.”

To a later point “Viral Hysteria” will be available as a live album, more news soon.

“Into Nothing” is taken from BLEED FROM WITHIN’s latest album, “Fracture”, that was released in May of this year.

BLEED FROM WITHIN are putting the past behind them and positing an overhauled frame of mind on “Fracture”. A recent statement from the Glaswegians aimed to reshape the band’s heretofore struggles: “The doubt and fear that consumed us for years have been replaced with an insatiable hunger to grow as people. We’ve noticed this shift in energy and channeled it into our music. As a result, our new album is the strongest and most uplifting we have ever written.” BLEED FROM WITHIN embodied that statement during the writing and completion of early video single, “The End of All We Know.” For it was this very track that served as a lighthouse for the rest of “Fracture”. The album title may appear to have a negative connotation, but it serves a constructive purpose. The very definition of ‘fracture’ is a ‘break,’ ‘breach,’ or ‘split.’ BLEED FROM WITHIN are fracturing their relationship with “bad old days.” “Fracture” and the songs contained within are liberation vehicles; the album is ten ways BLEED FROM WITHIN are opening new doors.

Like “Era”, BLEED FROM WITHIN recorded “Fracture” at the band’s rehearsal/studio space in Glasgow and with Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood at Middle Farm Studios in South Devon.

In the past BLEED FROM WITHIN toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, Lamb Of God, Cancer Bats and Of Mice & Men and played prestigious festivals like Wacken Open Air, Graspop Metal Meeting and Bloodstock Open Air.

Tom Petty’s ‘Runnin’ Down A Dream’ Gets Makeover From DON’T SLEEP

East Coast hardcore torchbearers DON’T SLEEP are celebrating the life and times of Tom Petty, with their previously unreleased cover of the legendary songwriter’s track “Runnin’ Down A Dream”.

“Tom Petty is a musical treasure,” admits frontman Dave Smalley. “His music is one of those rare things that nearly everyone vibes on – everyone from hippies to hardcore hoodlums. When DON’T SLEEP was talking about what cover song we wanted to do, there were lots of great ideas but there was always one guy saying “yeah but…” But when our lead guitarist Tom McGrath suggested Tom Petty, and specifically this song, there was zero hesitation from anyone. To make a cover great, you need to feel it. And everyone felt it. We tracked this in The Green Room studio in Harrisburg, PA with producer Matt Holmes, and it was done super late in the evening, after midnight. Energy levels through the roof, karma bright. I had a ton of fun singing it, and the words are freaking phenomenal. We salute you Tom!”

DON’T SLEEP’s chemistry is made up of hardcore vets fronted by Smalley, known for his lung-emptying exhales with Dag Nasty, ALL, Down By Law, DYS and others. The band released their debut album Turn The Tide earlier this year (September 4th), produced by Brian McTernan (Be Well, Battery) and Gorilla Biscuits / Youth Of Today member Walter Schreifels. The album follows their two EPs – Don’t Sleep (2017) and Bring The Light (2018). No stranger to the stage, DON’T SLEEP has toured with Shelter, Sick Of It All, Madball, Face To Face, and performed on the final Vans Warped Tour in 2018.

Lebanese PHENOMY Release New Video ‘The Mute, The Deaf, The Blind’

Lebanese Metallers PHENOMY have released the first single and video ‘The Mute, The Deaf, The Blind’ from their upcoming album.

“Witness the age of horror
The eyes of numb, the rule of terror”

The band on ‘The Mute, The Deaf, The Blind’:
“The song reflects on how the world is being blind/blinded, deafened and Mute while facing chaos and social injustice. Specially in our country in Lebanon where everything is getting worse and worse over the years, leaders getting richer, people getting poorer. It also is some kind of a wake up call, to those brainwashed by politics, social and religious beliefs by reflecting on how we would rather be dead than living in a world like this.”

Available now on all digital platforms: http://www.songwhip.com/phenomy

“So Grim So True So Real” “So Grim, So True, So Real”……. Hallowed words that ring true for metalheads the world over, particularly for those living in far-flung corners of the earth where freedoms of expression and socio-political upheaval makes it almost impossible to follow your passions. Impossible is not a word in the collective dictionary of PHENOMY, a 5- piece outfit from Beirut, Lebanon gaining critical acclaim through hard work and dedication that has once again shone a light on the state, and strength of global metal. Formed in 2014 by Loïc El Haddad (Lead guitars, Composer) and Rudy Bejjani (Drums) primarily to fuel the excitement and inspiration gained from their early influences such as Metallica, Pantera and In Flames. The mission from the start was to create music in the vein of traditional and modern groove and thrash metal. The dystopian nature of 1980s and 1990s metal releases rang true for many a music fan in war-torn regions globally. This was no different, they inherited the street spirit that many of those early metal classics were based upon and bridged it to meet their own reality. / A heightened participation in their local scene as an exciting support act and eventually headlining local shows enabled the band to cut their teeth on stage and develop themes and concepts that ended up contributing to the rebirth of the Lebanese metal scene.

ASHENMOON are fast establishing themselves as a rock powerhouse – having already released 4 stunning singles for Golden Robot Records, the 4-piece has now released their long awaited debut EP, UMBRA I.

Echoing melodies of protest and liberation, UMBRA I is a reflective monologue drawing on human connection and environmental condition.  Anthemic, yet magnetically intimate, Rand’s vocals traverse over the undeniable grooves of Beers (former INXS bassist) whilst Khoury’s guitars shine with soulful glee. Beers’ undeniable rhythm and swagger highlight the evolution of his songwriting & experience since the last INXS record. Mixer (multi-Grammy winner) David Reitzas captures the raw energy of the live instrumentation and fuses AM’s sound. An electrifying mixture of 70’s, new-wave and modern rock.

Listen to You Broke Yourself Again from UMBRA I HERE

The first installment of a 2-part EP release, UMBRA I draws on Rand’s longing for inner and outer peace. With the world constantly facing new turmoils, his motto “The World Outside Is Born Within” is evident in the lyrical yearning for unity. AM’s underlying theme of self-discovery and sifting through the darkness in your mind will have you thinking of ways to overcome your battles and find your voice – Apt for the current climate we live in.

Recorded in several iconic LA studios, AshenMoon’s debut will have you pumping your fist, swinging your hips and quietly exploring your mind. Influenced by Gary Beers’ INXS & Jimmy Khoury‘s experience touring with Beth Hart and working with Tom Petty’s HeartBreakers, AM creates a platform for Toby Rand’s ability to seek the emotion of Buckley, yet roar, like Plant and Cornell before him – all held together by newest member, Zak St John, on drums.
