Lebanese Metallers PHENOMY have released the first single and video ‘The Mute, The Deaf, The Blind’ from their upcoming album.
“Witness the age of horror
The eyes of numb, the rule of terror”
The band on ‘The Mute, The Deaf, The Blind’:
“The song reflects on how the world is being blind/blinded, deafened and Mute while facing chaos and social injustice. Specially in our country in Lebanon where everything is getting worse and worse over the years, leaders getting richer, people getting poorer. It also is some kind of a wake up call, to those brainwashed by politics, social and religious beliefs by reflecting on how we would rather be dead than living in a world like this.”

“So Grim So True So Real” “So Grim, So True, So Real”……. Hallowed words that ring true for metalheads the world over, particularly for those living in far-flung corners of the earth where freedoms of expression and socio-political upheaval makes it almost impossible to follow your passions. Impossible is not a word in the collective dictionary of PHENOMY, a 5- piece outfit from Beirut, Lebanon gaining critical acclaim through hard work and dedication that has once again shone a light on the state, and strength of global metal. Formed in 2014 by Loïc El Haddad (Lead guitars, Composer) and Rudy Bejjani (Drums) primarily to fuel the excitement and inspiration gained from their early influences such as Metallica, Pantera and In Flames. The mission from the start was to create music in the vein of traditional and modern groove and thrash metal. The dystopian nature of 1980s and 1990s metal releases rang true for many a music fan in war-torn regions globally. This was no different, they inherited the street spirit that many of those early metal classics were based upon and bridged it to meet their own reality. / A heightened participation in their local scene as an exciting support act and eventually headlining local shows enabled the band to cut their teeth on stage and develop themes and concepts that ended up contributing to the rebirth of the Lebanese metal scene.
