INGESTED Drop New Video/Single ‘Nefarious Tongues’

UK death metal stalwarts INGESTED today drop their new stand-alone single, “Nefarious Tongues.”

Lyrically, the punishing track explores the decay of morality in a world consumed by vanity and self-interest. It reflects on the way society devours itself through ego and exploitation, as if we’re willingly feeding the very forces that will destroy us. It’s both a condemnation and a reminder of how easily we can lose sight of what truly matters.

Musically, it blends modern death metal riffing with hardcore-infused grooves, delivered at a measured mid-tempo that lets the riffs and drums breathe while giving space for the vocals to cut through with full impact. The structure stays tight and purposeful, building toward pointed, heavy-hitting moments that hit with absolute finality.

Stream/purchase the track at: metalblade.com/ingested

Alongside the release of “Nefarious Tongues,” INGESTED has launched a limited T-shirt designed around the single’s themes of moral decay and self-destruction. Featuring artwork by Rudi GorgingSuicide, the piece captures the song’s bleak atmosphere; direct, unsettling, and grounded in the world it reflects. Available now exclusively from the official INGESTED Indiemerchstore.

INGESTED‘s latest single comes in advance of the band’s North American headlining tour. Evisceratour 2025 runs from November 6th in Fresno, California through December 6th in Pomona, California. Additional support will be provided by Distant, Ov Sulfur, Cell, and Crucifiction.

SEIGMEN Celebrate 30 Year Anniversary of Platinum Album Success “Metropolis” with New Album “Dissonans”, Out Now

The release date for Seigmen’s new album Dissonans on October 23 is no coincidence. The record marks a new chapter in a story where everything connects. Most notably, Dissonans is the second installment in a planned trilogy, following last year’s critically acclaimed and Norwegian Grammy-nominated Resonans.

The release also coincides exactly with the 30th anniversary of Seigmen’s breakthrough album Metropolis, which hit record stores on the same date in 1995. More subtly, several tracks on Dissonans draw inspiration from the band’s earliest years, when their music was sharper and more abrasive. Another circle completes itself.

Listen to the album here: https://ffm.to/dissonans

Dissonans is Seigmen’s second album in just over a year, which is remarkable in itself considering that before Resonans, the band had released only one studio album in 26 years, and that was nine years earlier. But again, this timing is no accident. Nor is it coincidental that a third and final album in the trilogy is planned to follow. The idea is that, in the end, the three albums can be experienced as a whole, created in parallel and tied together by a shared origin and a larger narrative.

Yesterday, on October 23, 2025, Seigmen presented chapter two of that story.

The first thing that stands out about Dissonans is its artwork. Where previous Seigmen albums have favored symmetry and minimalism, Dissonans offers something rawer, almost a stripped-down punk aesthetic. True to its title, not everything is as expected. Seigmen’s loyal followers will still recognize the band’s signature atmosphere, but they will also hear an unfamiliar playfulness, a willingness to break conventions and to let the songs evolve naturally, wherever that leads. And not least, the tempo has been turned up a notch or two.

The album opens with “Dyret (23 bud),” which also served as the first single. The track begins majestically with Espen Winther (Eldrim / Folket Bortafor Nordavinden) performing on his self-made string instrument, Gnaal. The song delivers, by Seigmen standards, a crystal-clear message: to recognize one’s own unique worth and to resist being shaped by others’ expectations. It can be read as a message to their younger selves back in the rehearsal room 35 years ago, but it has also resonated strongly with many listeners today.

The second single, “Disiplin,” raises the energy level considerably, driven by a drum riff that had been waiting in the drawer since 1990. Direct and uncompromising, it culminates in a cathartic chorus built around the line “for det som betyr noe for meg” (“what matters to me”), a phrase that lingers long after the song ends.

“Rosemalt” carries a darker emotional weight. Photographer par excellence Bjørn Opsahl had a long and personal relationship with Seigmen, both as the band’s “court photographer” and as a close friend. When Opsahl passed away earlier this year (2025), Rosemalt became, in a way, a tribute to him. He had often contributed ideas for Seigmen’s visuals and once suggested using traditional Norwegian rosemaling (decorative painting) as artwork for an upcoming release. The idea was tested but never used, and instead a song bearing that title appeared, its lyrics personal and haunting, written before anyone knew what was to come.

The final single before the album release is “Så Nært,” a song that ventures into new and unexpected territory. Airy and full of life, it features Alex Møklebust in a more intimate and expressive vocal performance than usual. The monotony of the verses gives way to a soaring refrain, a release, a breath, and yes, a true ballad.

Together with six other songs, these tracks make up Dissonans, an album from a band that has somehow rediscovered a fresh spark of energy, creativity, and joy in playing, decades after being one of Norway’s leading rock acts.

Fittingly, the release of Dissonans also marks the 30th anniversary of Seigmen’s platinum-selling breakthrough Metropolis.

Morten Veland (SIRENIA, MORTEMIA and founder of TRISTANIA)  released the third Mortemia  song  from ‘The Cover Collab Sessions’ today. A collection of 12 cover songs featuring 12 different guest singers. This track is a cover version of ‘Wicked Game’ originally recorded by Chris Isaak, featuring Leah on guest vocals. The song is available on all digital platforms as of today  the 24th  of  October 2025.

Morten Veland:

“I’m proud and honoured to welcome Leah as my special guest for ‘The Cover Collab Sessions’. This is the third song to be released for this album. I discovered Leah’s music about 2 years ago, and instantly loved what I heard. Leah has a very unique, soothing and expressive voice. I’ve had Leah in mind for a possible collab for some time now, and I am very excited that the time now has finally come. The song we have chosen to do together is a cover of the late eighties classic ‘Wicked Game’ by Chris Isaak, a song that we both have loved since the day of its release. Leah did an absolutely amazing job, her beautiful voice makes a perfect match with this song. We have created a very cool and fresh version of this timeless classic.

I feel truly privileged and thankful to have Leah on board this project and we both can’t wait to share this song with you all. The song will be available on all digital platforms on Friday the 24th of October 2025”.

Leah:

“I was honored to be asked to be part of this project, and I thought, ‘Why not?’ the song Morten chose instantly played on my heart strings, as I have so much nostalgia from the late 80’s and loved this Chris Issac song back then. I thought his take on it was really fresh and fun, and I think together with the vocals, it creates a new atmosphere, which I hope everyone enjoys. If you do, please let us know!”

Scarlet Aura celebrates 10 years of activity with a special anniversary concert taking place on November 6th, 2025, at Club Quantic, Bucharest. The event marks a decade of passion, friendship, and loyalty on the Romanian rock scene — an evening dedicated to music, unity, and the people who make it all possible.

Sharing the stage with Scarlet Aura will be a lineup of artists and bands that define the strength and diversity of today’s rock community:

  • Static Reverie  – 18:30–19:00
  • Natalia Bendre  – 19:15–19:45
  • Monday Shadows  –  20:00–20:45
  • Scarlet Aura  –  21:00–22:00
  • ANTON  –  22:15–23:00

The event will be a true musical and emotional journey, built around the themes of unity and friendship.

Scarlet Aura chose to share this night with artists who, through their style and energy, bring light and power to the stage. From the lyrical intensity of Static Reverie, to the sensitivity and feminine strength of Natalia Bendre, the youthful energy of Monday Shadows, and the powerful attitude and loyalty of ANTON – every act is part of one story: the story of rock that unites us all.

The band ANTON, close friends of Scarlet Aura, will close the anniversary evening. This choice is no coincidence — the relationship of mutual respect, friendship, and support between the two bands perfectly embodies the central theme of the event: unity, loyalty, and strength.

“For us, this anniversary is not just about 10 years on stage – it’s about the family that has grown around our music. About people, about our audience, about everyone who has stood by us along the way.

On November 6th, we open our wings and share the stage with those who inspire us and give us strength to keep flying,” says Aura Dănciulescu, lead vocalist of Scarlet Aura.

BABYLON A.D. Celebrate Release of New Album “When The World Stops” with Second Single + Video ‘Love Is Cruel’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 23, 2025

BABYLON A.D. is excited to announce the release of the second single, LOVE IS CRUEL, from their new album WHEN THE WORLD STOPS.

Lead singer Derek Davis had this to say about the new single, “The song “Love Is Cruel” I had written a few years back but I had never shown it to the rest of the band. We were looking for a ballad for the new album and I presented it to the guys not knowing what their reaction would be due to the piano arrangement, something that we had never done before on an album.

To my happy surprise all the guys in the band instantly said yes “This is a Killer Track Lets Do It”! The song is about how you can be completely absorbed in someone and love them so deeply, but love is so very fragile and can be taking away so easy. The memory and pain of loosing someone in your life can make you see the world in a different light and it can wake you up or shut you down, and sometimes both. “Drifting on a memory, high above the clouded skies of blue pictures play inside my head, pieces of the time I spent with you now you’re waving goodbye, and I just want to die, Love Is Cruel”! It’s so true, love can be so cruel sometimes and we all share in the pain and suffering at one time or another in it this life. On a side note I would like to thank Julie Pacheco for the absolutely stunning piano playing. Eric Pacheco our bassist passed away 4 years ago and he was one of the few people I had played the song for and I feel Julie was playing out her soul for him.
