Production-wise, the album is modern but never over-sanitised. There’s space. There’s breath. There are moments left human on purpose. No grid-suffocated perfection. No artificial sheen masking the pulse. In an era increasingly dependent on algorithms and manufactured precision, Teramaze have delivered something defiantly organic.
The Silent Architect is not anti-technology — it’s anti-dependence. It’s a raised middle finger to a culture leaning on AI to generate art instead of bleeding for it.

Nothing short of standard-bearers and keepers of the faith for American metalcore, UNEARTH was the band born in the breakdown who never wavered from their love of European death metal melodicism, supercharged by American thrash and hardcore. Now, nearly three decades into a career that’s seen the Massachusetts mob play innumerable gigs and massive festivals on six continents, sell hundreds of thousands of records, and inspire some of the most important bands in extreme metal today, they remain a force with which to contend. And their reunion with Metal Blade Records – their label from their halcyon days of the 2000s first decade – only increases the ferocity of that force.
UNEARTH‘s change back then from hardcore-focused Eulogy Recordings to one with “Metal” literally in the name aligned with their sound’s sharpening into a more brutal “Blade.” This time it’s more about going home to the host of genre-defining albums like The Oncoming Storm, III: In The Eyes Of Fire, and The March. It’s not to say they haven’t made great albums (see Watchers Of Rule and the latest LP The Wretched; The Ruinous) with great partners (MNRK Heavy – formerly eOne Music – and Century Media, respectively), but the lightning here has the chance to strike twice and UNEARTH are ready to ride it.
Comments vocalist Trevor Phipps, “Getting another shot at working with Metal Blade Records feels nothing short of coming home. We truly got our best chance at making a life of creating music and touring during our first run with Metal Blade from 2004-2011. Working with so many familiar faces we trust and appreciate is something we wholeheartedly welcome. UNEARTH‘s nearly thirty-year ride has been wild enough thus far. As one of the key bands of the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal (NWOAHM), they rose alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, Shadows Fall, Darkest Hour and more. “It was a healthy competition between all of us,” recalls Phipps. “It made for some great music and opened up a new chapter in American metal.” And though the Wave ain’t so New anymore, the great music continues as UNEARTH opens a new chapter of their own.

Sounds Of Delusion, a sludge metal band that started as a solo project by Juuso Raatikainen (Swallow The Sun) has grown into a trio and now offers a new song, Saint.
“It seems that we need greedy bastards to lead us to self-destruction. That’s what makes humanity so wonderful to follow,” says band leader Raatikainen.
The band will play their first gig at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki on May 29. The live lineup includes Okko Solanterä (Horizon Ignited, I Am the Night), Antti Karhu (Shining [NO], Post Pulse), Pekka Löhönen, and Juuso Raatikainen. The gig will celebrate the album release of guitarist Karhu’s other band, Post Pulse, and will also feature a performance by Turku-based rock-metal hybrid Sisin.
Los Angeles symphonic metal band Anthea unveil “Awakening (Song for Spring)”, the second single from their upcoming third studio album, “Beyond the Dawn“. In contrast to the shadowed theatrical tension of “Phantom in the Masquerade“, this new release opens a different chapter, measured, luminous, and deliberately forward-facing.
Rather than relying on spectacle, “Awakening (Song for Spring)” builds its impact through control and clarity. The arrangement unfolds gradually, allowing melody and atmosphere to take precedence over sheer force. Guitar lines remain precise and defined, the rhythmic foundation steady and purposeful, while layered orchestral textures expand the harmonic frame without excess. The result is a composition that breathes, structured, intentional, and dynamically balanced.
Lyrically, the song draws from the symbolism of seasonal change. Spring becomes more than scenery; it serves as a metaphor for recalibration and the regaining of momentum. The imagery of thawing ground, open skies, and returning life mirrors an internal shift, leaving stagnation behind and stepping into renewed direction. It is not naïve optimism but earned progression.
A key element of this phase in Anthea’s evolution is the integration of The Sirens, backing vocalists Mel Del Real and Astrid Anaya, whose harmonies add a choral dimension that enriches the band’s sonic identity. Their presence is not ornamental; it reinforces the emotional contour of the material and strengthens the interplay between restraint and uplift that defines the track.
Alongside the single, Anthea unveils the official lyric video for “Awakening (Song for Spring)”. Conceived as a visual extension of the song’s thematic arc, the video places the lyrics at the forefront, allowing imagery and text to unfold in step with the music’s gradual rise. Rather than relying on distraction or excess, the presentation reinforces the composition’s sense of renewal and progression, translating its symbolic language into a focused and coherent visual narrative.
Taken within the broader scope of “Beyond the Dawn“, the single reveals one of the album’s central tensions: movement emerging from uncertainty. While the record does not follow a rigid narrative concept, it consistently navigates themes of resilience, reflection, and forward motion. If “Phantom in the Masquerade” examined isolation through theatrical darkness, “Awakening (Song for Spring)” answers with compositional openness and measured affirmation.
With their third full-length, Anthea demonstrates increasing confidence in arrangement, pacing, and tonal contrast. The writing is tighter, the dynamics more deliberate, and the identity more clearly defined than ever. Rather than amplifying every element, the band chooses precision – allowing space, harmony, and structure to carry weight where excess would dilute it.

Finnish hard rock band ØUTLINE is a project of five guys in their twenties, blending genres and mixing the new with the old. In early 2026, the band will release several singles leading up to their debut EP, set to drop in March-April.
Øutline‘s third single, “Moonlight,” offers nostalgic 80s hard rock with an attitude. The four-minute song leaves no one cold, pushing forward with the power of a compelling guitar riff. The melodic vocals are accompanied by backing vocals, and the song ends with a euphoric guitar solo. This song has proven to be the perfect closing song at gigs, leaving a lasting impression on the listener.
“Moonlight the night sky, I never had. Dark haze, the blank page, It’s who I am”. The song is about unfulfilled dreams and expectations and the feeling of emptiness that this causes. As the story progresses, however, the narrator finds a way to accept this and move on with life.
The song is Øutline’s third single from the upcoming EP, offering a small bite of the band’s fresh sound and expanding catalogue. All tracks on the EP were mixed by Sami Niittykoski and mastered by Miro Kiiski. The new single will be featured in Øutline’s spring 2026 live shows, starting on March 6 at Kulttuuriravintola Railo in Tampere.
Øutline has performed in its current lineup since 2022. The band has been performing actively across Finland and has released seven singles that have gained traction on Spotify’s rock playlists and local radio stations. After a short break, it’s time once again to release new music and hit the road.
Pennsylvania metal outfit THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE are pleased to unleash their video for their latest single, “Make It To Heaven,” featuring David Simonich of Signs Of The Swarm. The track comes by way of the band’s forthcoming new full-length, The Dead Ones, set for release on April 17th via Metal Blade Records.
Offers vocalist Tyler Beam on the track, “Growing up as a young artist in a conservative Christian environment, I was no stranger to being influenced to take different paths. As I grew up, I began to realize that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You’re here now and no matter what anyone could tell you, no one knows what comes after all of this. You have one chance to experience being human, so why squander it on anything. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do, go out into the world and turn it upside down.”

Intense and intensely personal, The Dead Ones marks THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE‘s Metal Blade Records debut. For the ten original tracks of pulverizing deathcore produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland of Pennsylvania’s Atrium Audio, the band focused on the guitar, bass, and drum tones as well as the mix/master to achieve what guitarist Wyatt McLaughlin calls, “a super-thick sonic output and ‘rolling-tank’-like feel.“
In addition to Simonich on “Make It to Heaven,” the record features guest appearances by Nate Johnson (ex-Fit For An Autopsy) on “Rat Trap,” Alan Grnja of Distant on “Dollar To A Dime“, and original THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE vocalist Storm Strope on “XXXXXXXXXX.”
Notes Beam, “After a few years of touring and writing together, I think the four of us have really began to figure out what this new era is. We love and have always loved what this band was at its core, and we don’t ever want to stray from it, and with this album we have found a way to consolidate what makes this band unique at its core along with bringing our own new flavors to the table. The Dead Ones was recorded with a six-string baritone Viper from ESP-LTD tuned to Drop F, the same tuning used on the band’s 2012 Warpath EP. To elevate the intensity, the band also used an Earthquaker Devices Sunn O))) and Keeley Octa Psi drop tune pedal on certain sections.
In celebration of the release of The Dead Ones, THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE has confirmed a record release tour scheduled to commence on April 2nd in Columbus, Ohio and roll through April 16th in Cleveland, Ohio. Support will be provided by Traitors and Nailed Shut as well as The Crimson Armada and Flesh Prison on select dates.
