Speed Stroke has released a video for “Heart Of The City”, third single taken from the new album “Damage Control” to be released on August 21 by Scarlet Records.
That’s right, a song called “Heart Of The City” being about isolation with a video set in a cabin makes complete sense! It captures a dialogue between two needs: staying overwhelmingly safe in your own space scared of the monsters in the dark and taking a euphoric leap into the dangers of city life. You need both to survive. Visual-wise, it’s a love letter to horror classics like “Evil Dead 2”, “The Lost Boys”, and “I Am Legend” (the novel), exploring what happens when the world’s evil comes knocking at your door. To quote a legendary Oingo Boingo song: «This is my private life, come and get me outta here.»
